I totally agree with you on the super high end luxury designers raising prices dramatically and skimping out on the quality of their items. For the amount of money you have to spend on these brands are ridiculous. I'm 28 now and I'm finding myself gravitate towards Coach again along with Dooney and Bourke. As much as I love treating myself to high end luxury brands, I feel like a lot of us are getting cheated on with the quality and craftsmanship of these bags. They have completely gone down hill and it's really sad. I would rather save my money towards things like upgrading to moving into a bigger home, or a nicer car. Im sad because I feel like luxury designer bags were more obtainable back in the day and you really got what you paid for. Not so much now :(

Totally agree on the LV bag issues. I sold most and kept 2. The price increases are out if control! I had the best experience at my local couch boutique and bought the rogue 39 in black. I love it and love dooney florentine. I have the Russell tote. ❤
Yes, the price increases are ridiculous. I would have to be out of my mind to keep buying LV bags. I love the Coach Rogue bags. They’re so pretty. I don’t own one but maybe one day!

Great minds think alike!! I’ve been on a Dooney kick lately myself. The quality of all my D&B bags is unmatched. I have Florentine bags and pebble grain from them and I love them all. I would suggest you look into getting the Leisure Shopper tote from them as well in case you want something not so heavy. It’s coated cotton with leather shoulder straps. I use mine when I don’t want to use my LV Neverfull MM. Can’t wait to see what else you purchase! ❤️

I wouldn’t have an issue if the quality was still high, but sadly, the luxury community has lost many faithful followers due to their poor quality control. I cannot speak highly enough about these Florentine bags. They’re so well made and beautiful. Not to mention the delicious smell of the leather. If you get one you will not regret it!! TFW 💕

Love, love, love Dooney’s Florentine leather. I believe the leather logo only comes on the Florentine collection? Maybe? I think? The pebbled, Saffiano…etc have the gold plate. Thanks for sharing and so glad you’re giving them another try….

I love your channel. Great video. Can you point out your video that discusses LV quality issues? I have several LV bags but am exploring non luxury brands again. I'm loving having some built in organization in my bags once again! I also completely agree about the strap drop on the Neverfull ‘almost’ requiring both hands to pull the bag on my shoulder. 😡

Agree about LV…I am keeping what I have and not planning to add more. I have recently purchased a YSL bag and wallet and have been extremely happy for what it’s worth.
I definitely think there are still lux brands that are good quality. Mulberry, for instance, is one I would add more of to my collection. But those will be occasional splurges for me from now on.
@@ItalidaReviews yeah LV is turning me off even in the store the sales people act a bit arrogant for me the past couple times. Im much more careful where and how I splurge now and its fun to explore other brands. I think the LV bags I have will appreciate and will sell them down the road as i think the ones i have will be coveted and after a few more price increases people will gladly pay top dollar for pristine bags/box on the secondhand market.

Yes! Brahmin bags last a lifetime! I had a raspberry colored Brahmin w/ matching wallet and when our house was burglarized it was stolen. I was so heartbroken because I loved that set and they no longer made it. Thank you for watching! 💕

They never caught him unfortunately. And yes, you’re 100% right, material items are not important considering we could have come home and caught him in the act. Things could have gone very differently.
Great Video! Does the Florentine leather need to be sprayed with a water repellant? I have had several All Weather Leather bags in the past but was not sure about the Florentine getting water marks in the rain/snow. Looking forward to more videos of your Dooney purchases.
Hello! The Dooney website recommends not treating these bags so I have not used a weather guard on mine. I will more than likely not use it in inclement weather until it develops a rich patina. These bags form their own barrier with time. Thank you so much for watching! 💕
What a fun video! It was like "girl talk". I am falling in love with Dooney & Bourke. I am just getting interested in Luxury bag collecting, but it's not very practical for me. Financially, I don't want to deplete my money on "designer labels" with dubious quality and the Dooney style suits my lifestyle better than say "Chanel". Curious, if you just purchase bags that appeal to you, or do you try to limit your collection? I would like to maintain a manageable collection, but I know it can get outta control. :). Hello! So sorry that I’m just now seeing your message. I agree that luxury bags come with a hefty price tag and the quality isn’t better than most contemporary brands. I’ve said that so many times in my videos. I try to purchase bags that I know I’m going to get a lot of use out of. I haven’t always been that way. I used to buy every one that I thought was pretty. Now I’m focusing more on refining and scaling down my collection to my absolute favorites. Thank You so much for watching 💕
I went to foxwoods casino in ct on my way back was dooney & bourke I got one if the bags you got for your birthday in ecru the bag was 468 marked down to 189 plus 20 off. I paid around 160 with tax. I was in there I saw my daughters first grade lunch box (the jelly bag) . My daughter is 30 and and works in Gucci corporate.

I kept my speedy b 30, neverfull GM, pochette Métis and graceful.
Im 56 and 6ft 2 I have opposite issues my bag needs to be bigger
If you can go to the actual store I find websites are always more. My bag was 269 online in store I paid 100 less out the door.
I paid a little less than 3k on Valentine's Day for a Pochette Mettis. I hate that bag only wore it twice will never buy LV brand new again. Ive had so much good luck with a Japanese seller on eBay. I paid 100 to 300 for 1 wallet and two bags one is the petite noe GM I cleaned them up they look brand new however the bags are from the late 1990s the quality is far superior.
