The louder you scream the less people listen to your argument.
It’s exhausting and doesn’t allow for dialogue. I want to hear the information from all sides; that’s difficult when the message is being articulated in this manner.
While more actually listen, the pros of screaming is more hear you. I’m tired of it at this point cause too many are checked out and don’t plan to actually listen so they look for something like passion in the argument instead.
Edit: Passion can be a good thing but I’d prefer in some cases that it not lead decisions. Just a random example, I’m Canadian, the current government is seen by its supporters as a passionate one. Passionate about many good things but in its journey to provide many well intentioned programs that would help many Canadians they have taxed the heck out of us causing many other problems. I honestly think many more would be fine if they weren’t spending so recklessly and millionaires themselves but it is hard for small businesses to really grow which is kinda what we need. The job market could be better and if those small businesses could hire more and pay decent wages(depends on job) with good hours we’d be better off. It can be pretty difficult for someone like myself in their early 20’s. Many other problems I’ll spare for now but I kinda see it as essentially passion for the less than fortunate has made most of us the less fortunate while they see otherwise.

(Not ALL of course). But there’s much speculation for this, it’s not genetic, it’s environmental (how the child was raised) that much is for sure. Thomas Sowell breaks this down really well, one of the most underrated geniuses of our time, he’s 94 and still here and so many of his vids are online that other people have put together for him.

@@BizQAC I can definitely see it being environmental. I'm not part of the black community but it's not uncommon in a lot of communities, which is unfortunate. My husband and I want to break the cycle of telling kids to just deal with it or expecting them to be able to handle situations like an adult without being taught. My brother is the opposite. He is the one to react that way and not help his kids learn how to regulate.

I disagree. It was never done. They were promised and never fully carried out. We need to focus on getting on our feet, help the vulnerable, help the veterans, and sort out the reparations. We can make this better. Educate the public on a better life and give them the money their ancestors should have received and help them build a better life for themselves and their families. The rest is up to them. Do what's right by God and those wronged, get on track move to forward. Federal government will have to budget and make permanent room for reparations until all is paid in full. I get the why not, but let's not continue to cheapen what is rightfully their family's money.

Reparations are for people who suffered and paid by people who caused the suffering. You can’t appropriate someone else’s suffering for a paycheck. That’s as low as you get.
Does anyone think that my white relatives wanted to be forced to fight in the civil war? My ancestors were dragged out of the cotton field at 16 years old. They didn’t have slaves, didn’t want them and thought slavery was an abomination to God. Reparations is something that shouldn’t even be an idea. There were many victims of that time in history.
@@judydoster5551Yes, this is something no one in the mainstream wants to talk about. In the South, not every Confederate soldier was fighting for slavery to stay. A lot of them had different reasons or were just outright conscripted into the Army to inflate their faltering numbers. Especially towards the end of the war
@@iDeathMaximuMII yes! Many young men from the south weren’t given the chance to “join up”. My ancestor and his 2 brothers ages 16, 17 and 19 were rounded up like cattle and sent to the battle. They didn’t want to fight but the other choice was prison. They had to leave behind their families who suffered also by losing the help on the farm. It was a brutal time that I wish had never happened. People need to remember that there were very few people who benefited personally by the civil war, in the south anyway. Most of the ones who were drafted into the confederate army were themselves dirt poor farmers. Of the 3 brothers only my great great grandfather made it home. 🙁

Were there some Confederate soldiers who believed in slavery? Yeah. But the majority were for all separate reasons
Some people believed the North was legitimately overstepping their powers in the south (Not really true I think). And others were in it for personal reasons. Not one single passion of preserving slavery.
Slavery led to reconstruction that led to Jim Crow that led to Segregation that led to Redlining and more. Reducing the argument to solely slavery impact is unintellectual.

Redress of greivances is a constitutional first amendment right. If no one should ask for redress for past wrongs we should have no tort law. Redress isnt not victimhood in proper context, it is acknowledging wrong, providing recompense for damages and moving on.
If other groups wish to not align for redress, that is their right but others should not be demonized for seeking a right that is constitutionally protected.

I, myself, cannot testify that we are descendants of slaves nor that my family did or not own slaves. Everybody black ain’t here because of those years of the transcontinental slave trade! That’s such a shallow part of human history!
For decades members of the black American community have said that they want an honest conversation about race. But it's been crystal clear to me for decades that many in the black American community seem to harbor much anger, hatred, and resentment against white people to the point that an honest conversation is practically impossible. I do believe there needs to be an honest conversation about race, but it's clear to me that that conversation must first be had in the black American community. Black Americans must come to terms with their own history and current political views among themselves. As it is right now, the black American community doesn't seem to give a damn what white Americans have to say on the topic of race. That's fine. Have that conversation within your own community, and in the meantime, whenever I come across a black American that thinks skin color is important to their identity, I'll tell them it isn't.
The question the screamer asked was,” when a illegal goes on the run for 20 years and gets caught they get amnesty, but when a black man goes on the run and gets caught they get locked up”,
I just ask to that question/statement, why was the illegal on the run? VS why was the black man on the run?
