My older brother thinks Jackson is pulling something similar to what Caustic pulled with the finger. He thinks that because the IMC knows someone killed a pilot. They know Banaglore was involved, but they don't know Bangalore is the one who actually killed the pilot, they think Jackson did that (which is why Bangalore isn't being sought after). So Jackson faked his death to run from the IMC. That is what my brother thinks
i did initially think this was all the hidden plot they would pull out, as for bangalore earning money not to find jackson, but to rescate him and flee together before the syndicate or the remainings of the IMC get to them, but then, everything gets confusing and contradictory, i supposed by the loading screen's text, he was lost long long time ago, when both were still IMC soldiers, escaping the resistance.

Pretty solid, the only correction I’d make is that Bangalore IS sought after, she’s got a massive bounty on her head too, it’s just the Syndicate is so influential, nothing can touch her.
I always saw Bangalore's story as something about family, a brothers & a sisters unbreakable bond, and I feel like adding romance elements would distract from that. Other than that Bangalore's story also explores topics like the ambiguity of war etc...

Finally, after I watched both trailers, one, that I watched repeatedly in season 13 launch trailer, and second, I watched Stories from the Outlands. Finally I found the answers... Anita knows that Jackson is dead, he already died long ago... But... He didn't, point is he survived the fall and one thing for sure. He left her after he was marked as Presume Dead. Everyone knows he's dead long ago or someone who was part of IMC knows he was dead. Plus, I didn't know that he have a family. If you watched it, here's the point of Stories from the Outlands: Hero - The Original Newcastle named Reñe, tried to get the games many times, after that, he was shot by the Forgotten Family gang (Those 3 boys), Jackson knocks 2 boys to save Reñe and said to him to leave this town but the gang owes this town. The Boss of the Forgotten Family Gang own this town. So the only way is to join the games. Once he wins the game, he will give the money to them. Or he loses, the town will destroy by the gangs. He deals him and the gang left. Reñe died by losing his blood because he was shot. Jackson has no choice but he will disguise as him as Newcastle. That's why he's appear in next season...

the drawr was not given much reference material, and certainly does not know much about the game, sometimes he changes faces of the legends and sometimes puts them in strange positions that do not go with them, in addition to missing a great opportunity to draw them running with their characteristic sprint styles.

I have a good theory. Jackson was really dying from his injuries. The only surgery that could save his life is if he was turned into a simulacrum like Ash and Revenant. The body Raith found was Jackson's. He didn't want to tell Bangalore so he hid from her.

There is a *Banner Pose* were he literally takes his helmet off.
The only way you could be some sort of right is if he had body parts replaced, *Octane* style.

But since it would be absurd to erase 2 characters for the rooster, Respawn have to figure out a reason for they to stay at the last minute.
Guarantee Newcastle is Jackson but won't have any memory of his time in the IMC or as Anita's brother. Memory-wiped and thrown in there to Keep Bangy from leaving the games (lore-wise). Because otherwise, she'd be straight outta there after finding out he's dead. Now she'll have a new purpose, to get him to remember who he really is, and find out who wiped his memory.
If you ask me he is most definitely alive and will at some point play a reasonably big part of the lore because respawn loves to pretend they're changing things up only to back track everything
There is also the fact that if you do the Williams Sendoff challenges for the first time whilst the language is Korean, the subtitles say 'Newcastle' instead of Jackson.
