    The title is misleading.
This lecture, made into a book, is "Changing the feeling of I".

    In Persian god is KHODA
    KHOD means self
    A is Come
So KHODA somehow means come to self

    The "Eye" or the "I"

Can someone answer this? The actual verse in John that made most of the disciples go away was not as Neville says at 1:30 "'No one to change but self" .. but this one John 6:53 :Jesus said .. except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you have no life in you." That's when most of the disciples left.

Yes, the interpretation of that verse is unless you believe Christ is in you and you believe that the Father is also in Christ you can never see the Kingdom of Heaven. The point is you cannot believe in God as something other than your very self, you have to embody Christ and imitate him in every word and deed as the scripture pointed out through trust that he is in you.

To eat his flesh and drink his blood is to study his word and to practice it

@@maynardmashingaidze3829 Thanks. I've not heard that explanation before. I mean taking it literally it almost sounds like you have to eat His flesh... I mean like a cannibal or something. Maybe that's why most of the disciples went away. Idk. If only He said it like you just did. It would have made sense.

@@joanne3049 you are welcome. Yes, the disciples left because the misinterpreted what he meant. Infact they were not given the meaning, the principle of God's spiritual gift is it only given to those who seek after it wholeheartedly. The other disciples who remained also didn't understand the meaning. Jesus later explained the meaning of what he meant in John vs 61-66. You will notice he asked the 12 "Do you want to leave too". To this Peter replied " Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life. We believe and know that You are the Holy One of God. I suggest to get the full perspective of what Neville is teaching you need to understand 4 key things, background - the teaching was given after the miracle of feeding the 5,000. The majority of the crowd was seeking after to satisfy the carnal physical needs.
      2. Jesus had then told them not to work for food that perishes but for eternal food which is the bread of God.
      3. They asked Jesus what must we do to do the work of God. To do the work of God, Jesus explained to the crowds it "was to believe in him whom God had sent".
      4. The offence to the crowds was because Jesus had claimed he was the bread of life which came from Heaven and that is the bread they had to seek and eat. They could not believe it mostly because they knew him since childhood.
The proper understanding is Jesus was telling them to follow his spiritual teachings and practice them, only through this would they see the same results as he was performing. It is important to note they demand a sign from him to prove he was the sent of God. In the scriptures seeking a sign is shows that one does not believe. The signs and wonders are designed to follow those who believe and not to precede. You may need to read Mathew 12:22 right through to the end of the Chapter. You will note the Pharisees demanded a sign as proof of Jesus' authority. Jesus told them no sign would be given except the sign of Jonah. Jonah had preached to people of Nineveh and they had repented. The people of Nineveh did not argue with Jonah or demand a sign but truely repented and were spared. In closing Jesus was summarising his mission in these passages which Neville is saying the only individual to change is self and for that change to happen truly it must be through changing one's mind

@@maynardmashingaidze3829 Brilliant reply. (I think the Catholics got it wrong too, because when you have Communion in their church they say that the bread and wine actually turn into the REAL body and blood of Jesus, so that you're actually eating the body of Jesus like Jesus said in the Scripture.) --- This leaves only one other thing that Neville teaches that I have a hard time believing, and that is that he doesn't believe in the historicity of Jesus. He is saying no person in the Bible ever really existed, but these are simply stories for us to better understand God. I would love to hear your thoughts on that.
