The eagerly-awaited series 3 of The Umbrella Academy dropped on Netflix on 22nd June. In this post we'll be looking at what happens throughout the series, how it ends, the clues that we have for its true meaning and also our theories on where things will be heading in the future.
Now the season ends with the Universe being reset and we see that Hargreaves has not only taken over the world but he's also managed to bring his love back to life. If we time travel back to the tenth episode in Season 1 then it actually explains a lot of the big reveals at the end of this one.
In it we caught the man whose moniker is the Monocle on his home world as he said goodbye to his wife. Sadly his world was dying and he had decided to travel to Earth to "save us". With him was a jar full of strange glowing orbs that he then released. For a long time, it's been theorised that these were absorbed into the mothers who gave birth to the superpowered children. This is confirmed at the beginning of the episode with the orbs flying into Ben's mother as she rides a train. This somewhat plays into the post-credits scene featuring a version of Ben which we'll talk about more later on in the post.
Now come the end of the season we see these orbs being absorbed to power up Hargreeves' machine so that he can start things all over again.
Thus I think that his plan the entire time was to create beings that ended up taking these orbs inside of them so that they could mature and grow to the point that the Universe could be reset so that he could start over again. This could explain why he ended his own life in the first season as potentially he wanted to bring them all together and have them unite so that the machine could be powered.
In Season 2 we watched as he ended up becoming heavily involved in the space race and the comics flesh him out as a Nobel prize-winning, Olympic gold medalist.
Now there are other theories that we'll talk about later on but Hargreeve's wife was clearly very important to him. In the season we learn a bit more about Luther's mission and discover that he was also guarding her body on the Moon which had been put in a status similar to Nora Freeze.

Hi! may I ask about what are your insights about the clues dropped pertaining to ben’s “Jennifer” incident that led to his death. There was a scene where they kept mentioning “Jennifer”, and her connection to sparrow ben’s scar, that maybe did happen in their timeline the same way in umbrella’s did, but the only difference is sparrow ben somewhat survived, unlike umbrella ben who unfortunately died a “violent” one according to klaus. There was also some hints of drawings in ben’s room, who maybe is jennifer. I’d love to know moree, would love to know what anyones thoughts aree❤️❤️

made luther a decent character. definitely better than allison now. Klaus will always be the supperior sibling espically since he’s immortal. but his immortality makes me question his death in season 2 by the handler, like why would he be written off as dead. he continued to live bc of five but he would’ve woken up due to season 3 reveals. idk the inconsistency makes me question…
How did you get so much of this wrong. The purpose of the reset button was to create a brand new universe from scratch as the last one waa destroyed. So no paradoxes the deal Alison made with Hargreaves was thes brand new universal she would be with ray and claire and retain her memories, and he powers, because the others didnt die but did get there Power drained they remember everything from Before but Alison reset them. Before also killed Hargreaves he was rebuilding that universe which is why he has so much power and control in this new universe. His motivation was to create a universe where abigal was alive.
This new universe has nothing to do with time travel. Its likw rebirth in dc after infinite crisis.

It's probably the best unexplained plot point I've ever seen; was he born as a cube? Was he born as a human, who grew up and turned into a cube? Was he a small cube when he was born, and grew in size? I love that he's just there and everyone loves him like he's the comic relief of the Sparrows

I’m blown away by the acting of Aidan Gallagher (Five) and Robert Sheehan (Klaus). Gobsmackingly good. When you learn one is a teenager and the other is Irish, it’s even more staggering.

Bro Allison rumoring Luther was my big wtf moment. Glad time showrunners aren't afraid to take risks and demonstrate how monstrous people can be when they are hurt. If Allison was evil, she'd be an incredibly scary villain.

Allison saying "we should've left you in the basement" got me internally yelling at the screen "that's exactly what you did and it pretty much contributed to the whole eventual mess, you idiot". And I hate how this was never addressed, they all treated Victor like they didn't play a significant part in effing him up in season 1. Like, I still love them by the end of the season, but this was stupid.
Yup. I also did not like that five labeled Viktor as a villain and threatened to kill him because of doing things on his own while all of them where doing their own selfish thing since season 1.

And, as you said, all of them had their record of selfish actions (maybe except Five as he's too busy saving the world) so it looked like an overreaction.

A lot of people have been saying Allison's behaviour was so out of character and it's really not. It's implied she Rumoured Patrick to love her in the first place, we know she did it to her daughter. Even if it wasn't Patrick specifically, we know she said "I heard a Rumour you love me" at some point. Also we know she used her power to become rich and famous. She's described in the pilot script as a narcissist. Don't get me wrong, what she did to Luther was absolutely horrible, it just didn't seem 'out of character' for someone who has been shown as capable of awful manipulation in the past, and who is now at absolute nihilistic rock bottom. Personally I think it should have stopped at "I heard a rumour you stay" which would be enough to make the point, without having to show SA. Especially if they're barely going to address it further on.

@@Fingerscrossedout Yes! Actually showing SA is completely unnecessary in so much fiction. Sometimes implication is enough, if it's part of the plot. In this particular scenario her using her powers to make him stay when he wanted to leave would have been enough. And then that it's barely addressed by those 2 characters, and no one else even knows about it - like why put it in the show. I think showing that she's used her powers negatively on two of her siblings (Luther and Viktor) is enough to show she'd hit rock bottom.

I think they killed off the sparrow academy way too fast, I mean like Marcus literally had zero character then Jayme and Alphonso were just kinda dicks who used their powers twice
I was hoping to see them add in scenes about the "Jennifer Incident" since it was referenced so much this season and that is how Ben supposedly died BUT I am also thinking they are leaving that ambiguous for us to theorize on how he did or maybe they will finally add it next season who knows.
But I am glad they gave my boy Kalus more character development this season!!! Loved him this season and how he actually got to expand his powers!
I kept 👀 when they mentioned the Jennifer incident because when Viktor was in Ben's room one of the drawings on the desk was a woman named jennifer

I saw photos of Justin and Ethan together so I thought this confirmed we’d get to see young Ben. He had twice the opportunity for god sake.
Although, whenever they mentioned old Ben, I got so excited and I loved hearing about my favourite character more frequently.

I'm glad that we can all agree that Alison's actions this season were unforgivable. I understand she lost her husband and child but she killed Harlan who for the most part was actually the victim and killing him when he was old wouldn't change anything, and then sexual assaulted Luther. Then proceeded to berate Viktor for lying...then proceeded to lie to everyone else. Then when the worlds finally changed the first thing she does is go to her family and completely forget about her family that she doesn't know are alive or died. I'm sorry but she made me so angry this season.

She was written inconsistently. She was the voice of reason in the past seasons. It also didn't make sense for them to grieve or hold a grudge for the mothers' deaths since it's there was never a plot point of them searching for their mothers. The season was horrible. It's like they all completely forgot that they are in alternate reality. Character stupid moved the plot.
I facepalmed when she went to phone Patrick, believing everything was the same in this universe. Knew this girl was deep in her delusions.

I've just realised that it not only 'reset' the Umbrellas by bringing luther back, putting limbs back on, etc. but also seems to have completely wiped them clean. I noticed on the first rewatch that diego no longer has the scars on his face, and in this video I just realised that klaus doesn't have his 'hello' 'goodbye' tattoos either....
I realized the hello goodbye tats on Klaus but that's coz they all completely loose their powers so I'm guessing those tattoos were apart of his powers or something however i did not notice deigos scar

Hargreeves actually planned for Allison to be the last one on the “Sigil Star” to complete it, but Klaus returned and ends up taking the spot. He wanted them all on the stars so no one would stop him and they would all go into the new universe without powers. I believe Allison will be a big part of the next season.
I hope so and I hope they have a good plan to redeem her character because I really love Emmy and Allison is badass, especially now that she can tell anyone to do what she wants without rumoring

I just love how the show doesn't rush things and is consistent on its narrative, we get a lot of answers but still at the end of every season we always have mysteries that leave us wanting to see the new one even more. It makes the seasons feel connected instead of feeling like the writers start a new page every time and it's like a reward for the viewers for paying attention and rewatching the show, it doesn't make you feel like watching the previous ones was useless (*cough cough * like Titans)

The end was weird. 5 gets his arm back. Luther is alive. Diego has fingers. Lila is there, but not Sloan. Ben is there, plus post credit Ben. Allison somehow takes a taxi home to a fantasy family who isn’t confused about her absence or injuries (it’s not heaven cuz she’s still injured). So many mysteries.
Essentially what I think (i may be wrong) but when she pressed the button regardless of what she felt or wanted in her "perfect reality" so to speak, hargreeves already put all of his and allisons "wishes" and it was gonna be set and stone to how he wanted. So I think it was a clean reset, everyone lost their powers (except maybe allison) and no scars, limbs, etc. have been lost. And as for the sparrows and their entire universe and everything about it, they got erased since they were never part of the original timeline of season 1 and 2.

Lila was born in the OG timeline with the Umbrellas so her presence shouldn't be questionable but I'm mostly confused about the fact that the Sparrow Ben is there when it shows that OG Ben is alive yet Sloane has been ripped out of the new timeline, it's possible that maybe she wasn't born but neither would the Sparrow version of Ben if OG Ben exists in his place
@@CoquiMuncher I think Hargreaves already finished setting up the universe and the only thing remaining was pushing the last setting to the square so it can all come to reality, maybe that's why Allison found it red
I think he purposefully only got 7 children in each timeline so there wouldn’t be others to stop him when he was sacrificing them since it only took 7 of them
Why didn't he try to find other two kids when Ben died and five was gone and he was left with 5 children m

I thought the story says many times that he was only able to get 7 of them? All the other mothers declined his offers. so maybe he would of wanted more incase something so happen so he would have more odds of winning.

Maybe Allison is dead? Klaus said “I can’t believe this is someone’s idea of Heaven” when they landed on the bouncy house. A home with Ray and Claire would absolutely be Allison’s idea of Heaven

Allison is obviously dead and in her own version of heaven. The Umbrella Academy instagram teased that someone wouldn’t survive, she’s the only one who makes sense for that. The button reset the timeline, but pressing it killed her. Since everything is reset, no sparrows, ben never died, Luther never got transformed, five never lost an arm, Diego never lost his fingers. And their powers got drained by the machine.
100% agree .. he kept his promise Allison is dead / kinda technically making a deal with the devil . Reginald trained Klous yo be able to operate in death . And knew he’d be back to step on the star. That’s why Reginald told 5 to step on the star not Allison so he could “ keep his promise “ with Allison and reunite her with her loved ones in the afterlife

That is a good theory and would explain why he programmed himself into the new world (because he thought that ones he pushed the button the new world would start and the programmer die). If he thought he would just walk into this new world there would have been no reason to program himself into it, as he is there in the end.

I thought that too. Allison proved herself to be self-absorbed and entitled, though not without empathy, but certainly lacking humility. She made such a special deal out of her life experiences. And being so delusional to think that her daughter would always be there in any timeline, not altered or anything, is sooo entitled. It's clearly all about herself in her life. Her going rogue is not justified at all.
I think Ben on the train exists because his parents ended up together anyway. So he was naturally born.
The other Ben (s3 Ben) travelling with the group to this reality makes him a paradox. We still don't know if the others have different versions of themselves in this timeline. Although, like you said, it is a possibility. However considering Hargreeves is with his wife in this reality, he probably had no need for those children to exist. So maybe a lot of them do not, and even if they do, they don't have any powers.
Them existing is the paradox right? This is hargreeves universe, there should be 2 Ben's, normal ben and sparrow ben
The reason hagreeves didn't allow "Allison" to be on the" sigil star"
is because he knew she wouldn't stop him, unlike " 5 " who probably would have stopped him as well would have understand how the machine works. ☂️. 🐦 🔪

I think when Hargreeves dies he can exist in another form of himself, which is why he made that deal with Allison. Kill me, stop me, but restart the universe and we both get what we want. I think Reg has this all worked out.
Oh right! It may still be a part of the deal. It make more sense as she said "trust me" to viktor on the last moments, it may me feel like she just trusting her guts but she may actually know what will happen as it is part of the deal. And so, at the end, she have her benefits which if to have her family when everything reset

Yesss, cause he clearly programmed himself into the new ‘reset’ world, and there being two of them would create another paradox, right?
my questiions are: is this hargreeves the same with the previous hargreeves? if yes, so he's pretending that he doesn't know umbrella's members when they arrived? if no, are there any other hargreeves like two hargreeves? and how can still remember his motives from s1 to now, if its different hargreeves? Also, so those particles are put into those 43 babies who were born the same day, and he just need 7 of them to fuel the "universe-resetter machine"? And if they survived the kugelblitz, do other babies who were born the same day with them didn't get blitz too?

Once you start messing with time and dimensions you can go in so many directions.
Allison was given some of Harlen's powers during the transfer (we see this when she closed Vanya's mouth without saying "I heard a rumor.") However, it needs time to incubate, just like Harlen did. When it finally does, she'll give everybody their powers back, allowing Five to use his powers to create the first briefcase (just like how he powered the broken one) and create the commission. However, Five won't be able to leave the paradox-proof room because of all the paradoxes that are created as a result, hence why he was only able to tell younger Five tried to not save the world in the bunker before. Allison is awful this season. Yes she is unstable after losing her husband and child, but that doesnt give her the okay to sexually assault someone. Luther said please dont and she made him come on to her anyway. What if he came onto her in a different way rather than the way he was forced to due to her wording? That would have been rape. She only stopped him cos she didn't like how he was doing it. She walks away crying like she was the victim in that situation?? Luther actually said sorry?? She then apologises to him for being a jerk later on but she only does it to manipulate him. I cant ever feel anything for her character now
I hope that season 4 starts out with the reveal that Alison's husband and daughter are actually aliens who chow down on Alison stew. I bet it needs more salt!
Yes she did a lot of bad things but if you think about it, she responds the most realistically in the situation. Sometimes losing someone changes people (and not always for the best). So honestly her character is the most genuine of them all bc it shows how loss can affect a person.

Allison was horrible but I’m so happy Viktor was not reacting and being problematic cause he did cause a lot of mess the past seasons. Very proud of him. I was ok with her until she crossed the line with Luther. He was just being there for her. He didn’t even blame her for what happened but that was gross. I’m glad he moved on though finally.

That was the point where I completely lost sympathy for the character, and questioned the shows writing entirely.

I can't shake the feeling that in the endcredit scene, the orange sparks and flashes of light outside the train have some meaning. They are the same color as the sparks that made their mothers pregnant and the kugelblitz also has the same color. It seems to me that the flashes get slightly stronger as Ben starts to smile.
I couldn’t help myself and decided to just binge it all. So worth it, this series never fails. Loved the character developments for Klaus and Allison! I do wish they spoke more about this Jennifer person, if this is what caused Ben’s death why did sparrow Ben have drawings of her all over his room. It was very weird. I hope they tell more about it next season. Overall I loved this season again!
He probably died saving her. We can suggest that in the other reality he is alive because he didn't save her.

Didn't like how they wasted most of the Sparrows especially Fei (I really liked her character design). I feel bad for Harlan the most, he didn't meant to kill their mothers, he had no control of his powers and when he's finally free he got killed by Allison (who I hated this season). And lastly what's even the point of Stan's character?? He's just Diego's fake son. There's a lot of plot points here that didn't go nowhere and they decided to leave us with an unsatisfied cliff hanger. Personally, they could've just focused on the Sparrows instead of pulling another "it's the end of the world" story.

They made the sparrow's family for nothing, that's who I felt in this season. They died too quickly, we didn't know how the characters are (and they had a very good potential) and they disappeared in the final scene. I thought that this season would be about the relationship of the two families or something like that. Also, can we stop "the end of the world" thing?
I know I mean we got to know Sloane, Fei and Sparrow Ben a bit. However we didn't get to spend time with Marcus or the the other members they died too quick.

I feel bad for 5. He's been through a lot. Now he's still trapped in a childe's body while his siblings are in their 30s. Now, he doesn't even have his powers. He's been to 2 apocalypses, seen his dead siblings, grew up alone, killed people, got trapped in puberty, given the rudest reunion with his siblings, been unwelcome just about everywhere, reminded his and his siblings death just before he died, watched his own death, lost his arm, got it back, lost his powers, and never even got to retire.
He didn’t expect klaus to be back! Everyone would have lost their powers but now Allison still has her powers which I don’t think was part of his plan. He was originally going to double cross Allison

Something that keeps coming up in my mind when thinking about how screwed up Allison is; the sexual assault of Luther, murdering the other guy (name escapes me at the moment), making the deal with Hargreeves, all INCREDIBLY screwed up things that others have addressed. But in her new, "perfect" home, that she made the deal for seemingly; she gets her daughter Claire and Ray to be her husband. So, what happened to Claire's real dad? He just doesn't exist anymore so she can have the perfect family? How screwed up is that, she erased her own kid's father from existence so she could have her perfect little life? Best case scenario he does still exist, but doesn't get to have his own house anymore or custody of his kid (which he really deserved since mommy used mind control on her own kid). Worst case, he just doesn't exist anymore and now Ray is the dad. Screw her, I hope 5 or someone else goes after her next season.
After watching this I didn't hate this season as much. Watching Allison be so hateful was hard but again a testament to the actress pulling off such a complete turn in her personality. I thought Pogo and Grace could have had better roles but yeah I'm processing it. Luther's cruel death left me in tears. Lots of emotions and I miss the fun of the first 2 seasons. Great breakdown. Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey and all!! 💗💗💗☂️☂️☂️
I think that they're all just in another alternate timeline because Hargreeves has taken over in this new "timeline" and I think Allison is the one whos going to find her way back to her family and realize that putting herself before everyone else was selfish of her because its just a "false" reality. Because in the season she says that Ray died aged 80-something, and its possible she still has her powers. Its going to be interesting to see how this all plays out.
Very true, it would not make any sense for Ray to be in this timeline, plus in one of the earlier episodes I think episode 2 when she was having flashbacks at the dinner and they showed her memories it showed her daughter with glowing blue eyes, I’m not sure if it will be relevant for next season but maybe it proves that this reality she is now in definitely isn’t what she thinks it is.

I believe the old version of five we see in the commission took allisons place instead of being one of the seven on the sigil hints why he still doesnt have his arm just like allison still has her injuries and powers afterwards

It was refreshing to see how natural everyone accepted Viktor and reaffirmed his identity during the show. It definitely made me shed a few tears when Luther asked him to be his best man. I enjoyed the season overall. Allison's acting was incredible. I hope we continue to see her in a bigger role next season as the sole person likely with powers.

I think it’s because Reggie knew that Klaus can comeback to life so that he can step on the sigil. Alison on the other hand probably had a deal with him that if she if the universe gets to reset, she can have her life back but maybe in the after life.

Regarding Sloane’s disappearance...in the scene where Allison kills her father the screen shows 7 boxes of the sigil out of which only 6 are filled...so maybe since Reggie couldn’t fill that last box Sloane wasn’t reset? (U can see the boxes at 11:01)
My theory is that the 100 year old Five is the one that survives oblivion. This explains why the Five in the bunker is old because after the universe resets, his powers did vanished and thus removing his immortality. He also managed to copy/recreate the structure of the oblivion(The reason why the bunker is not getting destroyed by the kugelblitz).
I don’t think 5 is supposed to be immortal. He ages normally it’s just that in season 1 he accidentally reversed the physical age of his body as he was trying to time travel to his past.

Unpopular opinion: s3 was slightly dissapointing. Wasn’t bad. Thought there was a lot of wasted potential
Just admin it, it's bad. Here are the reasons:
1) video cuts are all over the place.
2) Most episodes are just fillers. I can skip most of them without missing the important parts
3) Allison was really annoying
4) Many people died for no reason (especially Sparrows) All Umbrellas somehow survive due to plot armor.
5) Too many emotions. Umbrella Academy is famous due to its quirky plot and concept, not drama.
6) Viktor/Vanya feels kinda awkward for me this season. Unlike in previous seasons where he was the centre stage, this season he's just like a side character. Many people said they handled her gender swap very well but for me, it's just a LGBT agenda. Somehow in one/two days he cuts his hair, change name to Viktor and everybody just ok with it.

Sissy died couple days before and suddenly she transitioned to look, act and walk fully like a guy within a day? I'm fully aware that the actor was a trans but we as audience are watching the character as Vanya/Victor, not Elliot Page. Elliot Page took hormones, not Vanya. You get what I mean?
It's obvious that Viktor's role in this season is pretty average compared to previous seasons but somehow all reviewers highlighted him as if he's the star of the season. Just like how Ukraine won EuroVision this year. That's why I mentioned it's just a lgbt agenda.

@@theworld6710 I agree with that partially. The line that really took me out of it was when someone said "she saved the past expecting her daughter to be waiting for her in the present". On one hand, it's an easy delusion to have, but in previous seasons, she was portrayed as smart enough not to have the naive expectation that changing the past didn't change the future?
And this was after the conversation about how their lives are completely different because they were never adopted by Hargreaves.

Only real complaint I had was felt too crazy from season 2-3. Her child was barely mentioned in season 2 then to pretty much be prepared to betray her entire family for seemed abit over the top. My theory about 5 is what if the old man he talked to actually was him from the last try where the plan failed which is why he told him not to save the world. Hence why his arm is cut off, the crew probably died.

I was kinda hoping that this would be the last season in which the Umbrella Academy would finally stop the apocalypse and live their life. I was getting tired of Hagreeves being a stubborn, arrogant, judging, unnegotiatable old man who always sacrifices everything for his GREAT PURPOSE. Since this season focused on how they stick together till the day the whole universe ends, I thought it might be the good timing to show their complete fight as a family and save the day. And yet, BOOM, Hagreeves did it again. Now I hate myself for believing him for even one second. Such a fool.
No wonder the Umbrella Academy hate him so much. I can't even take 3 seasons of Hargreeves and they had whole life of him.

I really really hope in season 4 they give time for Diego to resolve his issues with his personal and childhood trauma and daddy issues, what with him and Lila going to be parents and also we see him being a better, more thoughtful and loving person towards the end with his relationship with Lila. I've always felt like he particularly got the least time in the series to seriously address his issues and work on resolving them, they mostly get used for jokes tbh.
ALSO I'm kinda disappointed at the lack of attention the Sparrow Academy got, especially since half of them died in like the first half. It would have been really cool if they reluctantly joined forces in the beginning and then discovered how similar they were and their shared trauma because of Reginald, even helping each other come to terms with some of their issues. It would have also made the romance between Luther and Sloane (who I really love as a couple btw) more natural and also the whole thing where a lot of them go against / vote against their father at the end feel more satisfactory, like this was something they were working towards.
I would have also loved if they particularly focused on why the Sparrows stayed together while the Umbrellas didn't, maybe showing how, even though they have Reginald drugged and under control, he still has his hooks in them and their childhood trauma is still there. They could have really driven home the point that was brought up a few times that the Umbrellas were a real family while the Sparrows was like a company or something, but that, together, they could become one big family, like Luther always wanted.
Also this is a very small plothole but how come they never address why all the hotel guests in the Hotel Oblivion acted kinda shady when the Umbrellas showed up, all whispering to each other and looking meaningfully multiple times. I thought it was going to be explained, what with Reginald owning the hotel they would make it some big plottwist that this was all a set-up by Reginald or something, but it never was?? Maybe I'm just looking too deep into it but still.
The amount of content you're able to get out in such a short time is insane, every show I'm watching you seem to have a video for, please keep it up.
What I loved about the first two seasons is how chaotic they are and yet everything ties together. This season just feels... off? First few episodes were really great but then it went wack. Just seemed random but not the good kind of random lol
100% it was the characters writing, like Allison, it was hard to watch when she was on the screen, the decision making also like they had the family disagree to go in the hotel oblivion just so they could kill off Luther. That’s like 30 minutes of run time just so they could kill off the main character for 15 minutes and bring him back twice! Lmao just dumb to me and unnecessary!
Sammeee like some characters seemed way off and the whole plot line kinda felt random and rushed. Many plot holes, many questions. But some characters got some really good development like Klaus! this season wasn’t very memorable either 🙃

It was alluded to in the previous two seasons, but in the third season, it was confirmed; that Klaus is a Jesus Christ figure.
Among things I'm sure I missed, Klaus found out in Season 3 that he could die with his body badly damaged and be resurrected in perfect physical condition.
Additionally, Klaus could make a dead Luther reappear in the land of the living in a story almost parallel to the story of Lazarus. Klaus could commune with the dead and was also worshipped by his cult-like followers.
I'm not into Jesus, but Klaus I could get behind 😂

I miss season 1 Allison. She was a bad bitch, and seeing her struggle in season 2 made her more relatable and she still had her badass moments, but season 3 Allison fell off of wagon for me and without a decent cause it seemed like she wanted to blame victor for everything wrong and that was just it. I hope she can be redeemed in season 4
Wtf, Viktor is responsible, she literally ended the world not once but twice and nobody is holding her responsible. Allison lost her own daughter because of the mess of viktor. So yes, her anger is right.
@@bgos4727 Buut Viktor didn´t know about his power until adult life, -got manipulated by leonard, -didn´t know thE strenght of his power, -being put through that childhood that he did in that "chaimber" while Allison and the other kids got to do stuff together... come on you can´t blame him 100%. Season 2 Viktor lost his memory. Then got to know about the power again and in season 3 he at least try to do what´s best for everyone and being there for Alli. Harlan was trying to save Allison and the rest from the sparrows.. What do you think Harlan was going through for so many years. Everyone was angry and have lost someone through these 3 season. She should have known that they can do it together, as a family and save the world, again, as they´ve done before. :) :) I´m not saying Viktor is at 0% fault. They all got manipulated by their father and should have known better by this season. :)

I only discovered The Umbrella Academy last weekend and binge watched all 3 seasons over Saturday and Sunday. I’m totally hooked. Aidan Gallagher’s no. 5 is the standout. I’m going to rewatch from the beginning. Love it ❤️
this breakdown saved this season for me, The season was a mess but still fun there is stuff that is a bit annoying like alison and it felt a bit rushed and also there is no real antagonist in this whole season till the last episode and it was their father all a long. I'll give this season a 7.5/10

Yeah I agree as well. I felt like the episodes were dragged out a big much and the sub-plots kind of bored me until the end when the ending got me like WTF? Just makes us ask more questions than answers.

Technically everyone doesn’t get what they want because Sloan is not in this “new” world. When the the recreation took place Luther was not alive to create his hearts desire (aka Sloan). So the question remains who’s “hearts desire” was in control when this new world was created? One could say it was Alison since she got what she truly wanted but with Hargrave alive w/his wife maybe it was him. I really enjoyed this season. Thanks for the in-depth recap because I totally forgot about the orbs from season 1😁
Maybe it was a mix. First Hargrave started his desire and Allison just included hers at the end. Since she didnt know how to use the machine, she could not erase his initial desires.

At least she had some character, Sloane annoyed the living hell out of me and only survived because she’s the pretty love interest. Her character was too goody-goody. I had way more interest in learning more about Fei out of all the Sparrows.

My theory is that the Hotel Oblivion in the show and the Hotel Oblivion in the comics r actually both inter dimensional prisons, and that the Hotel Oblivion in the show actually is a prison for the souls that Hargreeves used to reset previous worlds because he did say that had “Done this times before.” And in the next season they may hv to battle these said villains

to be really honest this season was way more detailed than the other two
I feel that the power transfer to Allison during episode 6, “marigold”, contributed to Allison’s rapid deterioration of character this season. Harlan’s energy had negative effects under stressful, traumatic and grieving situations and we see that with Allison’s adjustment to the new timeline.
Also, in the final episode, “oblivion”, Allison used her powers to tell Reginald to stop the machine but to no effect. Unsure if it was previously clarified that the gifted children aren’t able to use their powers on “Dad” or if it’s just circumstantial but i thought it was interesting to add.
If you noticed at the end, “dad” was a robot, which might have meant her powers only works on humans

My favourite theory that I've thought of is that Five's Older version, is missing his hand, and we see that Five only regains his hand when Alisson resets the timeline, so what if the place that they went to afterwards was a place without the Temps Commission, as Viktor trusted Alisson this time, whereas she might not in other times, causing Five to still lose his hand, create the Temps and have it as a loop

Everyone is mad about Allison but I understand her unstableness. She had a family and they ended up no longer existing. Also, she lived during one of the most racist time of America 🇺🇸 and is going through PTSD. However, I did not like how she used her powers on Luthor and I hated how Lila LIED ABOUT STAN! she lost husband and daughter, and viktor lied about her mother. then regginald come and give her hope and the price for that is betraying her brother and sister.
I was okay with her being angry at everyone and being unstable but as soon as she did that to Luther I stopped being okay with it. He literally said please dont and she made him do it anyway. What if he came onto her the way she would have liked rather than how he was ordered to? That would have been rape. She then walks off crying leaving Luther saying sorry?!? She only says sorry to him later on in an attempt to manipulate him and get him on side. That's just awful in my opinion.
So, one thing is bugging me: Reginald killed Luther and left Klaus to die, leaving him with a total of seven, including Alison. That's the exact number he needed. So, if Klaus hadn't gotten back from the dead and took his spot on one of the symbols, would Reginald have sacrificed Alison as well, in spite of what they agreed on in the White Buffalo Suite?
Or did Reggie expected Klaus to return? But that would've been a risky move, considering Klaus could tell the others the truth re. Luther's death which would make them very less likely to cooperate with Reginald's plans.
So, I'm guessing Reggie didn't expect Klaus to return and that he would've sacrificed Alison with the rest of his kids and Lila?
Yeah right! I forgot about that, when we looked back it seems he didnt really expect klaus to come back because of his reaction BUT it could be that he expected him as Reginald himself 'perfected' or atleast improved Klaus powers with his guidance. Like damn maybe he kept on training and rush Klaus to achieve that perfectness for a plan, coz he probably trained him for a reason? I mean why train him if youll just dump him? Though maybe he did the training to lower Klaus guard down and take advantage of his emotion to gradually bring the family together --- like how the family is now together so he said before closing the door portal or something that Klaus is not need or not anymore (not sure how he worded it but something like that)

For everyone saying Allison went to her own version of heaven can't be, Because the person that was suppose to press the final "button" was Hargreeves. So by saying she is "dead". that means Hargreeves would have died also if he finished the final step to reset. And we all know he didn't set this all up just to die in the end. He had no idea Klaus would make it back and be the eighth member there. So everyone was meant to die while he finished the process for the reset. So i'm guessing Hargreeves put in the instruction on how the world would be reset in his favor as long as the process finished.
Robert Sheehan continues to be my favorite along with Five. Best characters and a fantastic story this season!

I don't think Five's powers currently have anything to do with him not aging further, his 50-something year old self just got thrown into his childhood body when he came back in time in the first season. So to say that "maybe he'll get older now that he's lost his powers" is irrelevant -- he was going to get older regardless.

It wasn’t “barely a blip” though as it was referenced as much if not more than most of the key aspects of the actual forces driving the plot. Nothing against it or anything mad respect but it was acknowledged multiple times each episode with more than a handful of scenes in which it was the main focus of the scene

the issue is all the siblings have done their dirt especially viktor who killed pogo, almost killed Allison and ended the world, five is a straight assassin so let’s not try to throw all the blame on Allison

Hmmm I assumed that Allison died. Hence her daughter and the husband from the 60s being in the same timeline and her still looking injured while everybody else had been “reset”. I imagined that she is living in a Void of her own, which is why the other characters aren’t there.
So is there going to be any real “villains” in the series? I get that the time travelers kinda were yeah, but in this season we see that 5 is the founder. So technically… ALL THE ISSUES THESE PEOPLE FACE ARE BECAUSE OF THEMSELVES

I love this season so much but that ending was so confusing. I don’t know how to theorise this. I can’t tell if this means that we’ll get season 4. I’m still annoyed we didn’t see Ben’s death scene. Oh well, it was so good. I’ve got the next two years to understand.
I wish they kept Fei or gave more of a character arch to Jayme, Sloane was too goody-goody, and only survived because (and this is speculation and my opinion) she was the pretty love interest for the season, which the season could’ve gone completely without the love plot.
i really liked sloane but it felt like she was ultimately just a plot device. fei is probably my favorite character in the entire series and they really undersold her. i almost wish we could’ve had an episode or two just about the sparrows at the beginning of the season, it would’ve let us learn about their dynamic better and make them feel more important/understand reginald’s intentions better

@@LunaOrgana I did 't find sloane boring. Don't hate the character when the writters only wrote her to fulfill one purpose. Her powers are amazing and she has gone through some of the same things as Luther which means she shouldve been complex. Also, I thought when they were fighting the guardian she was going to use her Gravity Force to split them apart but.. nope.
