For the defensive walls you can save some resources by removing every other log. Place a spiked stick between the gaps and behind every post. It'll kill most enemies without them getting through. Plus you can see through and shoot enemies easily. Works way better imho. Been doing well on hard with this setup.
I would love if they added a way to make walls with "half logs", like doors. Would allow to make walls faster and more pretty at the cost of defense maybe. I feel like from the outside, seeing only full logs makes the building look like they have no depth and large structures loose form
overhangs and lighting can add some nice texture, try adding a tower or two. i have a few short demonstrations to show some examples on my channel, in case you might be interested

A little tip: Rotten fish and meat can become edible again if you cook them in fire. Hope this helps :)

i love the shape of your roof, way more aesthetic than such a blocky structure has any right to be, well done!
You can build a bunch of spike all around the base for some good protection but is gonna take almost forever to build those good defenses
I would have two ideas but both of them would take potentially a really long time to build. The first one would be a giant base in the trees to manly live only on the trees. Not sure if this is possible to make a big base in the trees. The second idea but kinda be more like a fortress. So one big or high tower with lots and lots of spikes around to see if the canibals would attack that. If those ideas are not things that would be fun for you personally to make I can totally understand that. Just wanted to get my ideas out. By the way, love your streams and videos! Add flasks of water (if that is possible, I don't really know that), build a whole fence around the base and place traps outside. Clean and organize the inside so that it looks pleasingly sophisticated and better managed for a cannibal raid. And do the same zipline connect technique for returning from different areas to one common tower. Additionally, wherever you connect the zipline, build a small shelter with drying racks and storage there as well. The zipline tower can also be used to park the hang glider.
Can you imagine how cumbersome it must be to carry all that inventory around? Dude must be buff af

Hey insym i love your playthrough of this game you are a real breath of fresh air, i admire your work ethic, Have you ever heard of The infected? its by a small indie dev but its a really good survival crafting game and the enemies are zombies/vampires so are called vambies lol I just think it would be entertaining to watch you play it for a short while at least, Keep doing you cos your awesome x
What if one of your longer builds... Is a ramp from your primary base all the way up the mountain solely for you to have a slightly easier time dragging the hanglider up?
Take a shot everytime Insym calls something silly in the span of all of the different SOTF playthroughs, ud black out 10 times over xD

You should do like a tree house fortress or a set of tree houses interconnected with ziplines or bridges.

I noticed that Virginia holstered the gun, I wonder when she does that it goes back into your inventory
If you're cutting a lot of logs and don't want them to despawn make a few log holders at the end of the line and they will go in and not count against your log maximum then you can have full log holders and a pile of logs when they are full

Is it possible to put the lock outside of the door? I think you should put the storage lock at outside, so you can lock it while away from it and no cannibal get inside while you're outside.

We built our base on a lake with a ton of moose around. It gives an absolutely insane amount of meat!

(MUST READ THESE ) Wait you can get a infinity battaries beacuse there is 3 boxs having batteries 1- at the base ,side of thr water, 2-outside the cave , 3-inside the cave.. now imagine that you go inside and outside the cave like that 4 to 7 times you can fill your shelfs with batteries beacuse the boxs will fill again if you go inside and outside in the caves , love you bro big fan from india 💓💓
Hey insym me and my friend have our base on the exact same spot and it's a very good spot alot of deers and tons of fish
giving virginia the gun then saving and reloading has resolved the gun issue for me in multiple play throughs. she seems to give both guns back otherwise
you can stay warm with torch in the winter
Does the water freeze instantly when winter hits? Is it possible to be frozen in/under the water come winter-time?
I think hitting the cannibal bodies on the ground with a torch would help to get more bones.

Why don't you build a tower that goes above the trees connected to your storage building. Then you can glide away on the glider.

It is still possible to build stairs into the wall. The bottom of the stairs needs to be lower than the floor. czcams.com/video/fKGfT7KuXN4/video.html

I found it because of not being able to fill in the holes in my roof. My roof beams are offset for aesthetics. Then I saw you had managed to fill in the roof triangles. So I was watching your video and when you said you can no longer build stairs into the wall I wondered if I can do it. So here we are. I hope this helps.
