If you have seen a lot of people with certain features, then you will notice even more distinctions between them rather than focusing on the similar characteristics, but if you don’t know a lot of people with certain features, then those features might really stand out and you might associate two people who both have those; for example, her face shape is kind of unique to me and seeing another woman with this kind of long oval face makes them seem similar. Maybe the face shape is not that unique in the general population but it stands out to me among female artists her age of that time period.
