May I just add......i know of plenty of groups who get involved with security. Most of the time it's harmless fun between the group and security officers. I know of one who talked the officers into chasing them across a field, haha. Was this what was going on?? Just curious because I've seen the banter between officers and the groups, some security like the banter and aggressive fun.
Not always. A lot of channels hear a noise or feel something then will try to prove its not paranormal. If they can't prove its not paranormal then maybe just maybe it is paranormal
@@beardogetsscared to be fair that should be the default, as that's analysis of the data they have. Obviously I'm just being a wee bit facetious, though as I've seen so many channels that will default to "everything is paranormal" even if there are a multitude of rational explanations. I guess to some degree, that's the "entertainment factor" many viewers just want to see spooky stuff, and don't actually want a reasoned analysis or they just want confirmation bias and don't want rational explanations 😁

What worries me is this trend that people that think they’re ‘somebody special’ online truly do not care about how they affect anyone (say, security people) and brag about having someone fired. Oh dear, I missed out on all that drama. I've always liked GT, I was even a paying member, and then I noticed my comments were blocked, not understanding why. They eventually said it was a mistake, and maybe it was, but it was a bit hurtful to be blocked by a channel you're donating to for no reason. I like these guys because they make me laugh. I never thought they were faking to be fair, but some of the recent videos, especially the one where they are clearly trespassing on a private property and showing on camera the meds the owner is taking, or was taking, with his name on it and all, for me that was wrong on many many levels.
I didn't see the comments about the security people not being humans and that they had now lost their jobs, but if that's true, I'm shocked to be honest. Calling them not human is unnecessary and nasty, and I really do hope they didn't lose their jobs over this, they didn't deserve to.

Thank you in advance for this Beardo. I love both of you to pieces, and it's all confusing. It isn't any of my business so I haven't pryed, but I've been dying to find out what happened. If they acted crappy to you, that does upset me because I did not EVER once see you do a thing wrong to them. That's why I'm so confused. Used to do a lot of urban exploring back in the day, got busted plenty of times, never understood why people got arsey with security folk, it's their domain, not mine.

I honestly didn't have a clue what was going on, I'd heard it mentioned a few times in your videos but not what happened or the comments.
As for the security people, I haven't watched any GT video's so I don't know what happened in it, but I can imagine how scary it would be to know there is someone in that building and not know how they are going to react to you approaching them. I've had someone put a camera in my face and record me, so I totally understand how that feels and the thought of what they are going to do with that footage. It was extremely scary and even to this day a year later I still get anxious about it turning up somewhere.

i'm both glad and sad that i missed all this happening. GT was the first real paranormal channel i found, so this is quite a blow.
i can relate to how Elliot reacted though. i act differently in situations like that (the security situation), and being cheeky, maybe even rude, is how everything just comes out. i hate when people say i'm using my mental health as an excuse for that behavior, as they did with Elliot. sorry, but Elliot was not EXCUSED from the consequences of his actions (that's...what excuse literally means), he experienced them. i don't give excuses, i'm give explainations - not for anyone else but me, because my brain literally MAKES me overexplain.
this type of drama is one of the reasons i left Shape's FB group. some of them "debunkers" are flat out asshats, and their childishness was cringeworthy, especially since i knew they were like at LEAST 10 to 15 years older than me - which is especially sad seeing as how i'm 30.
From what I saw in the video I thought she was being forthright so she could take control of the situation and keep it that way, because like her I wouldn't be keen on a debate in the hallway of a big building at night in torchlight with a complete stranger when there is heavy debris all over the place. She doesn't know how many people are running around that place in the dark, why should she risk injury or worse by letting her guard down to someone she doesn't know from Adam that could be speaking lies? For the sake of politeness?
I can see how the dog bite comments could be perceived as a threat, but I can't read her mind and I'm sure adrenaline played a part in her words and actions. I'm not excusing her, I'm just not willing to crucify her for it and I certainly wouldn't put selective lines she said as text on my video in case my interpretation was wrong and she received abuse. If she approached the stranger with an angry swan on a lead and said "I'll let this hissing bst'd break both your arms if you don't come out" then I'd understand highlighting that instead of her very audible and obvious words about guard dogs biting, I mean, who knew guard dogs bite?
I bow to the experience and knowledge of Mrs Geek and Beardo on this one though, I've never worked security and my main interactions with security and doorman was mostly in the 90's, so I'm old, biased and probably incorrect when I say.. I don't think she was wrong. I might agree with a disciplinary (I don't) but if anyone thinks she should be sacked, well, I'd say to them you don't have to respect the past but at least appreciate you're in a time where actual gangsters no longer control that industry, because I remember those times vividly.
I agree totally here. Despite everything I tried to play devils advocate a bit. But if she has been working for me there would of been a breakfast roll for free the next day for stopping intruders
I've been so dang busy with things going on in my life I haven't been able to keep up with all the channels that I watch. But I try to make time for my favorites like Beardo Gets Scared, The Shape, Mr. Grey and a few others. Although I may not always have time to leave a comment on YT or go on Discord as much as I would like I'm still watching. Now here I go missing out on stuff.

I totally agree with you and Mrs Geek. I worked security for the F.B.I. Before I went into Private Investigation . So I know the dangers of it ,which it can be and is a dangerous job, no questions asked . They were in fact trespassing , no ands and ifs are buts about it. I even thought that while watching the video and it disturbed me even then. And the way they treated the Security personnel bothered me. It was totally disrespectful on their part. And yes they were wrong. They were doing nothing more then trying to cover up their own wrong doing. Making a big deal out of the matter for their own sake. Making it as if the security was wrong, No . They knew they weren't suppose to be there. If a place has Security, it's a sure sign , in and of itself - No Trespassing ! Otherwise why have security in the first place . And the guard dog was only letting them know their place. Doing his/her job as was trained to do. And then I'm sorry, the disrespect they showed Mrs Geek with their comment , sorry , hell to the No ! And then coming after you Beardo. I've lost any respect I had for them now. Due to their thinking it's a good thing these security personnel lost their jobs, and laughing about it , if they did . No ! And none of this is your doing here, you have nothing to do with this , it's my own choice. But I'm unsubing. Nor has it's been the first time I've seen them Trespassing. Trespassing just for a video, is a total disregard to the area and those that own the place. I don't care what the situation is. You don't trespass regardless for any reason. And if this is how they want to continue to do things . And end hurting innocent people who's only doing their job and make them pay the price for their actions of wrong doing. NO , they don't deserve my attention. I'm usually a pussycat. But I'm also someone you don't want to get mad , especially getting me mad over your own stupidity that effects innocent people. I think ghost theory fake stuff. In one video they explored an abandoned house and they heard something running out of the property. Elliott took his back pack off to get him emf reader out and left it in the house while they explored the outside, despite having equipment in the bag that could get nicked. At the end of the video they went back to the house to get the back pack and the spirit box was turned on. This looked staged to me

I’m still struggling to understand what you did wrong Beardo! Mrs Geek quite rightly commented on a subject she knows and understands, she has every right to do so! Personally I think the way they behaved toward the security guards was out of order, you don’t choose content over peoples lives and livelihood and truly hope they didn’t lose their jobs.
Beardo I have huge respect for you and Mrs Geek this video has further increased my respect for you both if that was even possible, your honest decent people and I’m sorry you’ve lost subs, you don’t deserve to lose subs because you’ve been decent and honest, you don’t deserve to be treated the way you’ve been treated, it’s just a shame some people can’t see the bigger picture and see GT at face value because fun and jovial or not nasty comments are unnecessary, they didn’t need to go down the road they have and choose negativity as the way forward.
If GT are being economical with the truth on their investigations who better to promote and have onside than a new debunking channel, as the saying goes keep your friends close and your potential enemies closer… of course that’s just my opinion.

A lot of respect to those who hold a SIA license you do a difficult job! My husband holds a SIA license he earned it just as he was leaving the army! He has since decided to go a different route and now works for S Wales police, I worry every day what kind of shit he deals with and has also come home with monstrous bruising on his body from aggressive behaviour! I haven’t seen the video from that other channel but they should be thankful for the security for pointing out that she has a dog and he is trained to protect! I would personally hate to be recorded in my job it’s so intimidating! I really hope they didn’t lose their job (even though I can’t imagine they would unless the owner didn’t want bad press!)

It truly BAFFLES my mind that those who break the law, such as trespassing, which is a criminal offense, have the belief that they are above the law and don't take accountability. But this is my opinion here.... If they can't take accountability when they are caught red handed breaking the law then you can now expect them to NEVER take accountability if they ever get busted faking if\when they chose to stage their evidence. I worked security for just under a decade myself and you are correct that visual deterrence often works but some just don't care about breaking the law. Also, most people do not film themselves breaking the law and then post it on CZcams for the whole world to see.

Update: And YES you are absolutely right. They do go in there more scared because of the possibilities of being attacked. The establishment that I worked security for had a guy walk in, got into an altercation with another gentleman and then he pulled his weapon out of his pocket and started to randomly fire it. Multiple people were hit and one died. All who were hit were not even associated with either gentlemen that had the altercation. Doing this job is very dangerous and no matter how strong you are, it is very scary walking into situations knowing that at any moment might be your last. So, YES, you are absolutely right!

By law you are only allowed to enter any building if it's unsecured and you did not cross any fences or closed gates. If you had to climb squeeze or push your way into anywhere you should not only know better but should really think twice. Often the security is there to protect the public as much as the property.

Exactly so! That was a warning to stop an intruder from running to know the outcome. Trained attack dogs are NOT vicious! It's untrained people training dogs to attack that are vicious! Huge difference! I know as I had trained attack dogs and they would not bite no matter what you did to them, growl, show their teeth, but they would never bite unless the special command was given! Nor would they be on hind legs lunging on the leash. They would sit right beside me and smile if the person got aggressive.
I would show my dogs as the gentle giants that they are if trained right. You put a cookie in your mouth with just a sliver of it hanging and that dog would get that cookie without leaving a mark on your face!
The security industry was once explained to me as they are "professional witnesses".
You have done this video fairly. I saw the comments from GT at the time and thought it wasn't a good look for them. I watch GT you and others. You will get stick for this but I think you have have conducted yourself with decorum and fairness . Keep up the great content

I've been sceptical of them for a long while as they seem to get 'something' at every location, be it knocking, walking or whatever. This kinda sealed the deal..
They may get knocking/tapping but they never assume it's paranormal.

Great video. Honest too. I must comment that (in light of your comment around how Elliot handled the security people) I watched a GT video they did recently jointly with iConjure. At the end they were caught by the house owner. Okay no issue- they thought it was abandoned but Elliot got real smart arse with the owner wanting to know why he was stalking them. Arh…..it’s the owner! If I owned a house and saw people inside at midnight I’d investigate or call the police too. Elliot was trying to bait him. I felt sorry for the owner and quite honestly lost total respect for Elliot and GT. Not quite the ‘funny nice guy’ he makes himself out to be

Cheer up my friend there is plenty more were they came from! I do so appreciate your honesty and opinion. I watch you and sometimes will watch the video in question in the end I make up my own mind. All I can say is don't change, this channel is no different than life some will like you some won't but in the end its how you handle it that counts! I thought it was just me.... They started in the right direction, it seem seems that because of that initial burst of success Ghost Theory received, SOMETHING changed. It's still redeemable IMO, but would require alot of effort.
Yea they got character etc. But I'll not be watching again. They could be legit but their attitudes stink. Their recent podcast where they called me (insert the worst swear word here) weeks later has soured me somewhat
Thank you for your honest opinions. I respect them and have become so disappointed in Ghost Theory. They have changed more recently and I feel that their ego's may be getting a bit too big for their boots. Hold yr head high Beardo and just keep doing what yr doing. You can't ever top good ole honesty (which u are)
i forgot about that aspect of security guard work - i used to chat with security at my old amusement park job and one of them told me it was essentially being a paid witness.

I subscribed to your channel last night Beardo, I was glued last night, so glad I found you. I was brought to you from watching Smug puppy, I truly believe in the paranormal due to one of my closest friends having an experience can only describe as horrendous, and knowing my friend as well as I did I knew she would never ever make up the stuff that was happening in her house. At first I thought smug puppy was real, but it did t take me long to realise it was a lot of fakery, so to watch your de bunking videos last night was an ahh ha moment, this guy knows his stuff, love your videos, keeping it real and being a really nice genuine guy, subscriber for life here Beardo 👍 you’re a ⭐️

When an official person tells you to move along or leave, you do it with no smart ass comments as this is what causes aggravation. Yes, some can be a dick about it, but if you don't take the bait, the situation will not escalate to a really bad outcome!

Your true subscribers are here to stay no matter what some other channels may try bc we all know what kind of person you are. Someone with character which Ghost Theory is severely lacking!! Hey Beardo and Mrs Geek. I have to admit, I was surprised when you mentioned in an earlier video about GT not wanting you to use them for your own gain, so to speak. You have never come across, to me, as doing that to anybody. I was also surprised that GT would say that. I think they are brilliant at what they do, but I didnt think they where the types to think like that. Cant believe Ive gotta wait 15 hours to see this! 😆

Hey Beardo. Hmm! Interesting! I always enjoyed GT’s stuff, finding it entertaining.
They put out a video a few weeks back however where they did a day time investigation in an an abandoned house with a guy from another channel.
The first 5 or 10 mins of the video made me feel uncomfortable.
They were routing through the previous occupants belongings making jokes and being just darn right disrespectful in my opinion.
I posted a comment pointing this out and they completely ignored it, commenting on all the positive posts. I then followed that up with another comment asking why they hadn’t reacted and still nothing.
There’s nothing wrong with a bit of comedy or dark humour during an investigation but it needs to remain respectful.
Surprised this has all gone down.
