  • Always on the hunt for a sweet deal. Could not pass this $500 Lexus up even though we are typically searching for Euro cars. Owner was tired of spending money on it and just wanted it gone. After a radiator, some coil packs and a new battery this baby purrs like a kitten.

    just got myself an es330 to replace my 02 camry. While I will definitely miss the better gas mileage, everytime i sit in it, my mind just goes: “yup, this is worth it”

      Thanks for sharing McFragger, that V6 upgrade is hard not to enjoy. It was a great luxury car in it's day and a crazy good value today. You can pick them up for a couple grand all day long. Enjoy your ride, Cheers!

      I just got an 02 Camry XLE so leather and heated seats and the upgraded sound system. What are things that you like about the ES 330 that the Camry doesn’t have?

      1.The mark levinson audio system feels beefier than the camry’s JBL
      2. The way the ES absorbs a bump much better
      3. Cruising at high speed you will hear near ZERO wind noises
      4. The ES has alot of padding material sandwiched around the cabin, which not only help with noise reduction but makes the whole car feels sturdier as each door close make that ‘thump’ sound
      5. Intermittent windshield wipers
      6. The rear windshield powered sunshade (i personally call it ‘peasant blocker’
      7. Overall instrument gauges still feel modern with that white text
      8. Trunk opening button right below coin holder
      9. Interior panels feels much higher quality (after all, the wood panels are provided by Yamaha)
      10. It has steering wheel assist for U turns
      11. It has adaptive breaking when you crest over a hill
      12. It idles with so much quietness that you barely feel it

      @@juan.alvrdoI just got rid of my 03 xle... I like the Lexus es front end better, just the grill and different headlights. Front and back. The 05 06 Lexus has the 3.3 V6 so a little more power and I like the Lexus interior and all the extra "wood grain" it has. I'm still looking for my new Lexus btw... For a nicer model around my area their going for around 5,000-6,000 grand... Almost there!!!

      Thanks for the comments, they are a great car. We think it's the best $3k car you can buy today. Those V6 engines seem to run for 300k+ without any issues. Our Pops is still driving this one everyday and hasn't had one issue.

    I’ve got two 2003 ES300s 😂 Bought both out of inspection with fairly minor issues.
    $1800 over 2 years ago for one w/138k miles, has 175k now
    $2000 more recently for one with 126k miles
    Great used model to buy and can be had for very cheap nowadays despite being well built and reliable.

      Thanks for the comments, it has been a great car for us without any issues. We strongly believe this is the best car you can buy for the money in 2024. They routinely sell for $3-5k with less than 200k and are really bulletproof motors.
      Of course the young kids say it looks like a Grandpa car but they are fully loaded for their time (2005). Great luxury and ride for cheaper than you can buy most cars out there right now.

    I am driving a 2003 es300 and the only problem I have after buying it is the steering fluid leaking. The steering is very hard to move and make hard creaking noise when I cold start the car. I have to start and wait 5mins then I am able to move the steering smoothly

    • @BradleysGarage
      @BradleysGarage  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Thanks for the comments, it sounds like the power steering reservoir has run low and is causing the pump to starve for fluid. You will need to locate the leak and get it fixed otherwise you will just need to keep adding fluid every few days.
      You can try a stop leak product but it may not work.

    • @BradleysGarage
      @BradleysGarage  Před rokem +4

      Thanks for the comments Robert. We spent $105 on the radiator, $140 on the battery and $150 on the coil packs.
      It turned out the plugs were brand new and only one of the wires on the coil packs looked like they tried to repair it.
      We fixed that up with a new connector and just did the coil packs.
      After all the necessary repairs, we are in it $895. Obviously this doesn't include any labor charges but if you are able to perform baric mechanical repairs, you can find some sweet deals. Happy Hunting, Cheers!

    Got myself a same model ,same year...with 216 miles ,dont know if i should trade for a honda civic ...since im trying to save in gas ...any advise?

    • @BradleysGarage
      @BradleysGarage  Před rokem +5

      Hey Junior, thanks for the question. While the Civic may get you better gas mileage, we would argue that the Lexus is a dramatically better car overall. The ride quality, amenities and luxury will be at a much higher level than in a Civic.
      If you have a great running Lexus we would just stay with it as we think you will be happier in the long run. When properly taken care of, both the Lexus and Honda will run forever.
      To put it in perspective, the Civic is an entry level car and will ride and drive as such. Brand new in 2005 the Civic cost around $16k while the Lexus ES330 cost $32k. You got a lot more car for the money now in 2023.
      Thanks again for watching, Cheers!
