Don't fool yourself, the 4 cylinder engine is just too weak for a big car like the 5-series! The ideal engine for the 5-series is the smooth runing 6 in-line
Niece has 90k on the odometer,she never had an oil change and in result ; I ended up replacing both camshaft sensors, the vacuum pump (which had oil in the lines and caused a high whining noise) boost solenoid and that tank that’s mounted under the engine cover which was also full of oil. Oil was sludge and black.
Good car if you maintain it. Very comfortable. The interior Shits on my G37 interior. But Hopefully this gives folks an idea about the car at high miles without maintenance.

@@SuitRollin 😂😂😂 the fact I been waiting on someone to ask that. But she still running good but she just recently had a head gasket,and the electric water pump replaced.

@@unknownS72 at the time it had 113,00 running good but needed some upgrades from.sitting but nothing major really

Is this worth the repair for 2013 BMW 528xi from BMW Dealer?
The repair would be under warranty for 24mos/unlimited miles from the date of the repair. This would replace the turbo and all the needed components. This would also replace the coolant reservoir and the needed components to complete that repair. for $2,135.08 + tax.
How many miles does your car have
I love these cars they are beautiful cars very fast but they always having issues with that drivetrain!😩and parts are not cheap! So better know how because cars are not the same
If you take care of it Early it will love you long time😂👍🏿 . I've had that issue but luckily I was able to jump on it ahead of time. But you correct the part's are not cheap.

What would you say the annual maintenance costs total up to, given that I would do oil/oil filter changes and air filter changes myself
Your looking at least $1,500 for maintenance
And in the last year BMW has started a BMW oil change plan at $250 for unlimited oil changes for 3 years. So that adds more money in your pockets also. They are expensive I will agree.

What year did they start putting the backup camera on the 528i? This car is nice but i think that might be a deal breaker. Or is it just the specific one yoy showed that doesn’t come with it or is it all 528i models? sorry for the loads of questions, Thank you!

I got a 2011 528i and it has a back up camera and it comes in handy.

@@mauricemcghee834 it doesn't takeaway the fact that the car is not twin turbo, twin means two just an fyi! In this car you have ONE turbo charger, that has set of two scrolls. Nerd or not i dont understand why you are trying to put your two cents in if you clearly dont know the differences? Its like calling white-black and black-white, according to your logic there is no difference they both colors, right? Why then some people prefer one over the other? Same here, twin scroll and twin turbo are the two different concepts each with a benefit and drawback.
