  • You can make modelling chocolate using any chocolate with golden syrup, corn syrup or liquid glucose. Add colour with paste or gel food colouring.
    I used:-
    225g Sainsbury's Luxury Belgian White Chocolate
    55ml (1/4 cup) Dr. Oetker liquid glucose
    SUGARFLAIR - Spectral Paste Concentrate Colouring - Paprika/Flesh

    How long does this last once made and can it just be kept in a ziplock bag for storage. Thank you

      I would go by the expiry dates on the products you use to make it. Storing in a ziplock bag would be fine.

    How long should I keep it in fridge to set?And does it need to microwave after getting it out of the fridge?

      Sorry I don't fridge mine, it sets at room temp in the UK. I don't have a microwave so cannot advise you on this, I just warm it in my hands until it becomes soft.

    I have done same... but it crumbled and became powdery.. how can I fix it?

    • @CakesForShow
      @CakesForShow  Před rokem +1

      Knead it a lot, it starts out very stiff and crumbly but gets softer the more you knead it. Can be hard to do with the whole amount so I break off smaller pieces to do a bit at a time then I can knead it all together. Or sometimes I overmix it when adding the ingredients and this can make it too brittle to use and it won't come together no matter how much I try.

      Maybe if you are somewhere hot. I am in the UK and found it set fine without the fridge.

      Cakes For Show how long would you recommend keeping it to set?

      @@shibrahkhan1842 I usually make it the day before I need. It doesn't take long to set so could also make a batch in the morning and use later that same day.
