- Logic Pro 11 is here and AI is taking over. In this latest rendition of Logic Pro, Apple has released some brand new AI features such as a stem separation tool, AI Bassists, AI Keyboardists, an updated AI drummer, and an AI distortion plugin!
But do all these plugins actually sound good?? Well, that my friends is exactly what we'll dive into in this video. I'll break down all of the new features in Logic Pro 11, show you how to use them, and then give my thoughts on these new features!

The session players are not really AI. I would consider them AI if they could listen to the whole project and adapt to it or if you could prompt them freely. They're ok, but calling them AI is purely marketing in my opinion.
Totally agree. It feels like they could have released this update when they released the Drummer feature!

This Update is HUGE! AI makes it really interesting.. Logic 11 new updates will definately improve AI! I'm still salty they have't update the plugin search bar natively ugh! đ© Nice video, Keep it up! đ

You CAN successfully say that! But, you're songs probably stand out as much as piece of paper in a white room.
Hopefully theyâll have session guitar.
How can we take out the midi info to use the midi file on another instrument or just want the midi file. Like in Scaler 2 with can just drag and drop the midi file...I did not find where or if we can do this here.

They didn't! It's a feature at the bottom of the new 'groove' section!
Logic pro 11 has great new features. However, the to most valuable new features (chroma Glow and stem separation are not compatible with Intel, but AI session player, Drummer, Bass and keyboard are compatible with Intel. I think it's a slap in the face to dedicated logic users who still uses Intel software.
yea but intel is pushing like 5 years old at this point

I am not able to use the stem splitter on my imac 2017 is that maybe why??
Yes thatâs why- you need an M chip
My biggest problem is I spent $5200 on my MacBook Pro to have eight gigs of V ram, 8 TB of storage, 64 dram and they canât use the feature. I really want.. That makes me see although Iâve been an Apple fan and I have 11 products from them and have been faithful for years, that I have to buy something new to get this technology. Thatâs not cool. I also have the iPad Pro 2020 and it doesnât have the same feature the AI feature.
I've used an Intel i9 Mac since 2018. I've got 32 GB RAM and a 4 TB internal SSD. The only reason for me to update are the potential bug fixes. Logic still hasn't fixed the file browser and the way it does automations. I've already invested in Soundtoys Decapitator, Standard Clip and Black Box Analog design. I don't think chromaglow compares to these three. I've never really used the drummer track so it's not really a life or death situation for me. They should've added things like the ability to search for plugins, a more usable sound browser like mediabay by Steinberg and the ability to add two automation points one on top of the other vertically. I've considered switching to either Studio One or Cubase full time but I'll put that on hold for now.
Don't update , lot of cpu issues
learning garageband in high school, i was completely blown away. anyone can make a song, it was so fun. Apple is great for creating and Logic Pro 11 continues that

@@shanes.6227 Make music? This does it all for you. Wheres the fun in that. Music is a creative endeavour and studied discipline, or it used to be!
Back in the 70s most people had a relative who had a chord organ with a rhythm machine. You could program the thing to produce an embarrassingly synthetic track that made everyone flee the room. In school you had similar instruments with button chords, and music teachers used autoharps to strum along with third grades.
This is a significant upgrade from those days. Not huge, but a real improvement. No one would want to listen to it, and its essentially a toy for people who think they can write music this way.
Hi there.. your video is great but Ive been on logic since I started.. first time they really F@ck it up not thinking about their users.
Rosetta not working and making many producers frustrated. They " Apple " know well the fact of Rosetta from many years ago.
So now, fancy plugins but no user support nor explanation on this matter. REALLY sucks..
Hope they get a solution fast. This downgrades the DAW BIG TIME.
It's not that big of a deal ... It all still sounds just as canned as Logic's drummer. It's a good way to get things moving .. but using it in a final piece isn't something I'd ever do. Fighting with the plug ins to make it do what you want takes more time than just programming the stuff or using virtual instruments like V drums to do it. People are making a whole lot of fuss over this novelty update. I also don't understand why this 'stem separation' thing is all that useful. I mean.. who cares? You can stick someone else's music into the program and get it to split up the tracks? Whatever. đDo we really need more ways to sample crap? I like the basses, the new piano and the 'chroma glow' saturation plug in... but other than that.. I wish they would've added some more drum kits and updated the amp sims. Just my thoughts.
Ai please auto accompaniment has been around since the 60s lol, basically thatâs what it is. AI is the new cool aid buzz word nonsense now. You may as well call everything in sequences ai then lol
AI features that literally nobody asked for or needs. Tech companies are so afraid of missing on the AI trend, they are pushing bloatware on users.
