- The video shows the call for a change of command at the guard battalion in the Julius Leber barracks in Berlin. The formation of honor is provided by the 5th company (air force). The leader of the parade formation is the deputy commander of the guard battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Sven Homann. It is played by the staff band led by Captain Kolodziej. The former commander, Lieutenant Colonel Kai Beinke, is a paratrooper and is going back to NATO. The new commander of the guard battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Hans Domrich, has previously served with the mountain troops, among other things. I would love to come and see the base some day. I was stationed in Berlin and trained with the german army. My best friend was in the german army, his name was Timo Paul. He dead but I still remember him and his love for the German Army.

Nein, diesmal nicht. Wir haben die Stücke hier mehrfach im Kanal. Die regelmäßigen Claims von Präsentiermarsch und Marsch Friedrich des Großen sind auch eine relativ neue Erscheinung.
NATO is getting a real treasure in OTL Beinke. He's such an accomplished man and such an exceptional commander for someone who can't be any older than, what, 45? He should be so proud of himself.
Lieutenant Colonel Domrich is also very attractive 😍 (from 30:05 to 30:19). Let's wait for the new videos 🎞 from Mr. Baumann recording the duties of this new commander.💖
Last two weeks we missed two occassions (chancellor of Austria visiting and accreditation of 3 ambassadors) because of our trip to Centralamerica - flying along Florida by the way. :-)

@@morganmills13 We have been in Costa Rica and had an 8 hours stopp in Panama City on our way back. We tried to visit the Pacific entry of the Panama channel, but because of an accident the city was so crowded, that we had to break it off. Panama City looks like Downtown Los Angeles. In comparance San José is a huge and plane city placed in a valley between a volcano belt.

Best of luck to Lt Col Domrich. I will.miss Lt Col Kai Beinke though. He had a particular way of giving orders on the parade ground that was uniquely his. Please can the Covid regulations ease soon so we can get the bands playing properly again.

Auf ein Wort, Herr Baumann: Haben Sie für die Außenaufnahmen ihren guten Draht "zum Wettergott" genutzt? Ab etwa 30: 25: Wurde bei der Truppe ein neues Gerät eingeführt? "Feldherren-Hügel, mobil"? When someone becomes the new Lieutenant Colonel of the Wachbattalion, are they chosen randomly or does the old Lieutenant Colonel choose the new one based on performance stats or
other characteristics?
Often they just served in the guard battalion before. Mostly they are "Jäger" (hunter, rifleman) like paratroopers, light infantry, mountaineers, grenadiers. Officers change about every 3 years all over the Bundeswehr, so the job is advertised and who wants to get it can apply.
The officer needs to know that he will be very famous at home and worldwide because of the press occassions.

Schöne Aufnahmen! Dieses Copyright-Gedöns geht aber echt tierisch auf den Sack und ich bin der Meinung das es viel zu wichtig genommen wird. Wem schadet es bitte wenn man diese Darbietungen hören kann? Ich werde es nie verstehen. Danke für diese immer wiederkehrenden Einblicke in unsere Parlamentsarmee.
Es wird nicht viel zu wichtig genommen - CZcams schafft es nicht, der missbräuchlichen Verwendung von Claims Einhalt zu gebieten.
Nahezu alle Märsche und Nationalhymnen (anderswo gab es selbst nen Claim auf das Deutschlandlied!) sind so alt, dass deren Komponisten über 70 Jahre tot sind und diese Stücke damit gemeinfrei sind.
Schöne Szene am Ende. Ein schneidiger Kommandeur verlässt das Wachbataillon.
Hoffen wir alle, verehrte Liebhaber deutscher Militärkultur, dass der neue Kommandeur ein ebenso zackiges Erscheinungsbild an den Tag legt. Ich bin schon auf den ersten Einsatz gespannt.
