What's the difference b/w incremental and imbrication line? And the difference b/w Perikymata and Striae of Retzius?

Just a silly question. Is mesial and distal HOC same as mesial and distal contact point for each tooth?
That's a good question, not a silly one at all! If the teeth are all aligned and leveled properly, then yes, the mesial and distal contact points should be at their heights of contour. However, if the teeth are malpositioned, then they may contact each other at areas on the tooth that are not their heights of contour.
