I feel for this guy. I can imagine what tragedy and traumatic events could do to the mental health of good people out there that are unable to get the right help but even so with help for some people it doesn’t help much.

What he did was disgusting and terrible and I seriously can’t imagine all the pain his mother and aunt went through but then again he was mentally unstable and insane so it’s clear he wasn’t in the right mind his crimes will never be forgiven nor acceptable but since he was insane and clearly unstable I can’t help but just feel bad for him this could’ve been resolved easily if only he got the help he needed and because of that he ended up becoming a murder.
Same, Anybody couldve helped him, but nobody did and which made him kill his aunt and mom, which is really sad and disturbing at the same time, It just really shows what happens if you don't get something thats broken to be fixed.

My understanding is that while rarely given as a verdict insanity isn't an actual out in the US. If you are found to be insane by a court of law in the US what actually happens is that the Statue of limitations for the originally charged crime is literally put on pause. All relevant discovery and testimony that would otherwise be sensitive to time is recorded By the prosecutor under the evidence file of the case. And, then the person is sent to a Penal mental health care facility until they are deemed competent to stand trial at which time they are tried for the original crime. If they are never deemed competent then they remain in facility well forever. So all you would be doing is adding extra time to a crime pleading insanity.

In my opinion insanity shouldn’t matter. It is an individuals job to accept help. If in most countries a person who is sick has to confirm mental help and are unable to get help without their own consent then they should be charged just the same because they got to choose not to get help. You get what I mean? The mom and aunt were trying to help him and he chose what he chose.

In my oppinion, he should be in jail. But a special jail for mental illness criminals, bcs he's a mental illness murderer. And jail doesn't have to relate for being not forgiving, jail also can mean protection. For those who are outside the jail, they can be protected from the one who got jailed. Like for simply, people caged wild animals... so the wild animals can't attack humans and others. It didn't mean that we humans doesn't forgive the wild animals, but it's just a preventive for next victims.
