The small mountaineering village of Ramsau near Berchtesgaden in the Berchtesgadener Land was made famous by a painters' colony who found enchanting motifs for painting here. One of the most well-known painting motifs is the church in Ramsau in front of the Alps. Here is a well-known vantage point today. Many painters lived in Ramsau or a few kilometers away.
