As someone who played all 3 at one time, Honkai games really be generous. I remember during one of HI3 anniversary they gave out both a selector of S rank valks and a selector of 10 wishes or crystals.
They gave more then 10 pulls. I think last aniversary it was over events a total of 40 pulls or so (not counting any endgame content etc.)
They are literally giving out merch boxes to 88 captains annually

Dr. Ratio is literally an S-Tier Character for a lot of content. He is very strong. Most Tier Lists agree as well as the Community. He is stupidly broken if done right. Sure, no S+, but damn. For free? That is fire.
Also Genshin has so many money-throwing simps, why would they give out free stuff for their community? It's not like they need it anyways. Genshin is kinda trash anyways lulw. I like Strategy Games so Star Rail is my vibe. Skill issue tbh.

To add ever more salt, a few patches earlier we got a selecter between dea anchora and sushang, and before that we got Origin Mei ( S rank) at release aswell as spina aster when she released back then aswell.
If you count the s ranks you can buy from memorial arena shop, you can add sirin and sushang to that list when they released
We were also given a free HoT not too long ago and a free HoR back in the day.
Also when is your birthday, Honkai Impact give cristals and a 🎂 (that gives stamina). Honkai Star Rails gives you Jades an a cake. Genshin Impact gices a cake and no primos.
and next update in HI3, we are getting not just a weapon, but the entire stigs as well. we are also getting free costumes and free cards and this is why i love HI3, this game is way too generous.
The gear grind is too bad now, i noticed way more less crystals are obtainable and like you really need tons of crystals to build meta at all
there's no way they gave out herrscher of sentience for free on HI3, damn. Thats the best waifu in the game.
For Honkai 7.3 they are going to give 3 characters, one for free, another farmable and one for the gacha, plus free crystals

GI : Protagonist of Horizon Zero Dawn. Alloy. 2021. 5 star cryo character. Claim in-game mail from 2.1-2.3 patch.
Hsr : new release. Dr. Veritas Ratio. 2024. free as part of Honkai Star Rail's 1.6 update. No special quest, just simpy claim in-game mail. A candid and self-centered Intelligentsia Guild member, who often conceals his appearance with a strange plaster sculpture.
Herrscher of Origin was given for free the same patch she came out, along with one of her stigmatas and she was the best lighting DPS until Luna came out. We just needed to complete the latest chapter in story and that's it.
Spina Astera was given for free to by just a log in in the same patch she came out, and her gear banner had a discount (pull 10 times, get 5 focused cards...basically a 50% discount) she was the second best fire Valk after HoF, until HoFi came out and then Sirin (Sirin powercrept her) like one year later.
Other "free" (free if you play the game often) Valks that were given on the same patch they came out are: Sirin, Fallen Rosemary, Sushang and Miss Pink Elf. And they're still "free" today and farmable.
So uh, Honkai Impact gives free new Valkyries too, not just old Valkyries.
Honkai is pretty generous sometimes, i mean free Herrscher of sentience, free Herrscher of Origin and also reason if I remember correctly?

HI3 fell badly for me due to the gear making so much importance now while being f2p you can't get all the gear. I like the generosity of the rewards but it's all just the cover for the grind you gotta make to earn minimal amount of crystals
I'm f2p myself and play just fine, always top 3% on MA and retaining Red Lotus rn, I've even been on Nirvana like 4 times now (couldn't retain tho)
