This video encapsulates the full Lake Powell experience, first with one of the Largest and most Luxurious houseboats on the Lake, Odyssey. We own this boat with 6 other families. The big white Adonia Yacht boats you see on Lake Powell are not for rent. They are privately owned. If you want one then contact Sunrise Peak for current options.
In 2022 Lake Powell water levels are lower than they have ever been in 50 years. Even with low water levels we still had an amazing time and even over fourth of July the lake was never crowded. This is the best aspect of Lake Powell, you always feel like you are on your own lake once you cruise up and out a canyon finger. We wakeboarded, wakesurfed, hydrofoiled, went off the second story water slide, ate way too much ice cream, jetskied, had the best fireworks show of our lives, and were able to enjoy our extended family all together in a remote and yet very luxurious and amazing way. Great video. How did you all use pins in the sand stone and not get in trouble?
We never use the bags. It’s a racquet that they are pushing but everyone in the lake with large boats like ours are pushing back. First these water bags are not as secure as pins. Two, I believe it’s around $3k to have the only company who can do this for you set up the bags. We have been doing pins for over 30 years and pins are not harming LP. In fact the colored bags all over the lake now look like trash. You never seen anyone’s pins. The water bag anchoring system is not good for anyone, it’s only good for this one company who sold the parks service on this crazy idea. I believe this is why it’s not enforced.
