  • A PERSONAL CONVERSATION WITH MY HUSBAND // I was married to a good man that drank too much and suffered from addiction for 10 years. We had three children together, and I ended up leaving my marriage. As many of you know, we now have a beautiful blended family with a boatload of kiddos.
So many women in our community have asked questions about what it’s like to be in a second marriage, with blended families, and my ex-husband.
We talk about what it’s like to co-parent with two sober parents, what it’s like for the kids, trusting each other, and the flashbacks that I had when we first started dating.
It’s a personal conversation, and honestly, I felt a little exposed when we were recording. My hope is that it will help you today. That our loving conversation will offer you hope, light, and maybe even new insights for your own relationships, no matter what stage you’re in.

Making sacrifices… wow. Something I have realized was not happening in mu prior relationship. And he also kept a tally and would bring it up in certain times. I always say you do things for others because you want to. That was an eye opener.

I am married to an kind, gentle, alcoholic man. He is 73 and has a bad foot, which contributes to his falling. I'm afraid for him. Sometimes he drives. I'm afraid of him being in a bad accident with resulting injuries and lawsuits. How does a wife stay married to an alcoholic who drives?
