    Virgil Hunter really knows his stuff. Gotta respect a trainer who will give it to you straight even when it is about one of his fighters. And Virgil is spot on when he says:" some of these fighter are gonna have to go back to the drawing board". Boxing is a science and fighters and trainers who don't approach is as such will find themselves going backward before they will ever be able to move forward.

    Great interview, Virgil is bang on about Khan. Now one year later Khan has come on a hell of a lot. Prescott and Garcia were the old Khan, Khan will beat up Devon and hopefully fight Mayweather and I think he will take his 0. I also think 147 is the best division we have seen for a long time, great fighters and characters it's keeping me watching. X

    Thank god this man just said the most important thing run drills. Fighter don't run drills anymore I can tell FM runs drills consistently and I have said this over and over to people. Pro fighters especially Mexican fighter don't do this I think they turn Pro and forget to do the basic things. The first thing any fighter or person off the street does when he joins a boxing gym is run drills just because you become champ or professional doesn't mean you stop the basic's. This makes FM great to me

  • @MrSightsNsounds
    @MrSightsNsounds Před 11 lety

    Much respect to Virgil Hunter.Now as for Khan vs Mayweather,Khan just moved up to welterweight and fought Julio "The Kidd" Diaz (40-9-1) at a get your feet wet 142lbs.Khan got dropped in the middle of the 4th round with two left hooks.Which says Khan is still susceptible to the left hook.Last time I checked the left hook was one of Mayweather's best punches!Not to mention Mayweather is a lot faster than Julio Diaz.So if Khan does land the MoneyMay fight,look for the left hook to close the show.

    I don't think we've seen the best of Khan and believe under Virgil Hunter he could go far but I'm a little worried when he says if Khan dedicates himself, if Khan makes boxing the priority in his life because is he eluding that Khan is not doing all of these things right now?

  • @asimbutt100
    @asimbutt100 Před 11 lety

    Fair enough Amir Khan has not got the best chin but he never gives up, against Garcia the ref could have let the fight carry on....also the only real downfall I see in Amir Khan is his stamina in the later rounds....Amir Khan should just focus on Alexander as he is a tough opponent...RT hate him or love him you got to watch him....true fighter #King#Khan

  • @terrellj8182
    @terrellj8182 Před 11 lety

    Also I like Broner but I don't think he runs drills on his foot work enough he could be great but he needs to become a pure boxer and step away from the puncher fighter. He will always have power and yes that make for excitement to some fans but if Broner becomes a pure boxer he will be amazing

  • @GiantSandles
    @GiantSandles Před 10 lety

    It'll probably be entertaining while it lasts, but just on principle it really should not be happening. Bradley deserves it more than anyone right now. Even excluding TR fighters, Danny Garcia is *far* more deserving. Hell, I'd say Adrien Broner is in a better position for it than Khan is (even though, unlike a lot of people, I really don't want to see Broner vs. Mayweather because I don't think there's much to merit it and I also think it'd be pretty boring).

  • @ezio6903

      BKLYNKING Not true at all, he has a way better chin than what y'all give him credit for, he just fights reckless and get's caught, plenty of fighters with praised chins got knocked out at some point. A good chin doesn't mean you don't get hurt or dropped, it means you don't get put to sleep.
