You are me who is solo defending and has been pinning the map (old Carbonite) typing in chat with 'need help inc. stables for the past 5 minutes', I play the people who don't read chat:
"OMG PALADIN YOU SUCK! HOW CAN YOU LOSE STABLES?! NOOB!"
I held out for 3 minutes which was impressive considering it was 1v3 for most of the time but despite people were closeby nobody ever showed. I played the long game of disrupting caps and healing. That's why I have a high healing amount, moderate damage and zero kills. Because I was the one who stayed behind to defend stables.

Biggest mistake in AV - if the other faction has their team split on offence and defence at either end of the map, and your team is trying to assault their base, be sure to leave them a graveyard in the middle of the map (ie snowfall gy.) If some nimrod decides to cap the middle GY every enemy that dies suddenly gets sent back to base and voila you have 100% of the enemy team in the base you are trying to cap. It's my pet hate in AV, when people don't see that value in keeping the enemy team split and that offensive push gets blunted for another 20 minutes by a full turtle.

In WSG, if you have 100% speed mounts it can be good to fight in mid, if you can dominate mid. Because then you have a bunch of people together who can mount up and get the EFC away from their support. But that involves winning mid decisively AND communicating where the EFC is, which again, touches on one of your points.
In AV, I have gotten frustrated because people take the GY outside of the base before the GY in the base, and then people start rezzing in their base. Similarly, it is a mistake in AV to try to kill the guards before capping if there are no players present. One player riding through, drawing aggro, or a pet class sending in the pet, and capping while the defenders are occupied is a lot faster, which is important if any moment a rezzer could come in and disrupt the cap. Another problem in AV is when people make use of a chokepoint to win a victory... and then advance beyond the chokepoint. Then, suddenly, the choke isn't held anymore and the enemy get through.
In WG, you definitely want to fight in the middle instead of what Punkrat says. Controlling the middle of WG wins you the game. You can control the middle while paying attention to the FC. It's not common that group in the middle doesn't notice the cheetah with a flag trying to hug the wall.
CONTROL THE MIDDLE.
Unless you're alliance ;) in that case, follow Punkrats advice and chase that lost cause FP while letting the other team control mid. I love a good BG throw

Unfortunately, in this specific Video i have to insist on a certain point. You say: "dont dight in the middle" to take very seriously as a general rule.
Now, in retail i have plenty experience in rated bgs (2.4k hoth xp, 2.7k 3v3 aswell) and assigning 6-8 players (depending on comp) to fullwipe the middle and then hold it is a common Strategy. I know things on retail dont play out the same way as they do in classic, but considering the similar (now reworked -.- why ever they did this) maps of AB and WSG, i am pretty sure this strat is viable in classic aswell.
Please dont feel called out, i super much like your content, as u teach me literally every day, how to make my way through classic. Just wanted to have this said:)

I would really like some kind of tier list of different toons for twinks for each lvl tier. There’s not much info on Twinks outside of level 19. You could do a separate video for each level group if you want to go even more depth you could do and good two or even three man groups to run into a BG with. I truly believe that Twinks will be significantly bigger in classic than they were in vanilla.

If you’re defending the base in the back or waiting in the flag room defending in WSG for instance, do you still get the HK points for the battles going on around the map? Or will players fighting in the center of WSG for instance be getting the most honor.

You should have mentioned that if you are playing a hybrid class like pally, druid, shaman, etc. Its more important to play a support playstyle than it is to try and just dps full time. A ret paladin giving a warrior freeom or healing a mage in iceblock is more important than securing a kill

In AB the best location on the map is Lumber Mill. It has the overview of the entire map, except mine, so the shot caller can see the entire battle. A mage can cast or priest can cast slow fall and LM can float down as reinforcements to any of the nodes. The best three nodes to have are Farm LM and BS as the make a perfect triangle on the map and it’s easy to move units between. Try and keep 2 per node a small roaming defense team and if you can spare it a rogue druid backcap team. Call out Incoming with the number of players so people can move accordingly. INC 4 BS from Farm. Also use /bg to talk in the bg if your using /p or /r your wrong.
Things to avoid: Being a complete waste of space by running off alone and getting farmed.
There is an exception to the 'don't fight on the roads' rule, but it complements the 'spin the flag' comment. If you have a lot of ranged, you can bait defenders off the flag. A lot of times the problem is killing all the defenders at once so you have a window to get the flag, and it is a lot easier if you can get at least some of them away from the flag. It can also be effective with the backcapping strategy, where someone attempts a 1 vs 2 attack on a base, and pulls back... and a rogue who has just been watching takes the opportunity to cap.

The most common mistake in warsong I've seen is having 5 people on defense, makes it impossible to go offensive if the enemy team is deathballing and then once they kill everyone on offense they just wipe your base because your team is split in half. That's why controlling the middle is very good provided you actually focus on the enemy flag carrier when they come out of the base.

The defense needs to be 3 players. The FC prefer Druid, healer shaman or hpal and a stealthy or player with stealth potion.
100% this. I agree wasting time ganking at mid is a bad strategy but you do need to control mid! You can control it without having the whole team fighting there. Killing EFC at mid is almost always easier than doing it in their flagroom because they usually have more support in the flag room. Your advice is good advice.
Camping spots left alone while rest of my unknown team were just trying to fight other spots made me win a lot of bgs back in the days.

The most common mistake I’ve seen in vanilla is a lot people get distracted by a few enemies and chase them for ever. Like you have 6 men runs to attack 1 dying enemy who is trying to flee, and they are stuck in combat for maybe 30 seconds. And this is a very big problem as you have 6 men here that means your side are lack of 6 men somewhere else that might get outnumbered by the enemy. And these 6 men here are not actually contributing to the victory as they are chasing just one guy. A good way to do in this case is stop chasing him, wait out of combat and reinforce other spot in the battleground. And even if no one chases that dying guy and just let him escape, that’s still not a bad strategy as he will have to wait 20-30 sec to eat food to regenerate health and mana. And he will have to cost extra time on the road to run back for defense .

I want to at least get the blue armor set. I'd love to get rank 14 gear but odds are I never will. Shame because for both factions it's pretty much the best looking set and the sets are also just very good in terms of stats.
If it wasn't such an insane grind to rank 14 and was instead a bit more skill based I'd get it, but it seems to mostly just be about time investment.
I kinda wish classic had arena even if it didn't have rating or rewards, just for fun. Mainly because I know the bg queue on horde is going to absolutely suck most likely.
For Horde in AB....LM, Farm, and BS are the most important to control.
It is very important to get them in the beginning....1 to farm to cap, 1 to BS to cap and heals and rest to LM since Alliance go there first

Why is it called Spin the flag though?
This is the problem with online multiplayer games in general and why I don't do PVP. Some players always end up taking it way too seriously and changing it from a fun game mode into a boring play-by-numbers style thing, just repeating the same strategy and doing the exact same thing over and over. When you find yourself doing homework IRL in preperation for a game, you know that the players have basically ruined the whole thing by squeezing all of the fun out of it and making it more like a job than a game (especially if mathematics are involved). The same thing happened with Pokemon when people found out about IV's and EV's.
Waiting for the 10th to get more game time. Can't wait to start fishing in AV...

Controlling center in wsg is a viable strategy. Initial team fight wipe full escort first carry, keeps the opposing team split up while you can intercept any efc. Depends on group comp and flag carrier really

Retribution paladins, Enhancement Shamans, Shadowpriests, Boomkins. You can and should still heal others if the scenario seems fit. If that warrior buddy lives that one second longer, he can mortal strike one enemy out of this world. I know it's mana inefficient and awkward to use and weak. It might be the difference between win and a loss when timed right.
All of you priests please remember to always target efc and use mind vision to relay where the efc is at in wsg.. I always did this in tbc and was surprised how many. Priests never used this ability..

You just gave the greenlight to the biggest idiots in the team that constantly run off a base as soon as they cap it which your team then loses in 30 sec and they die trying to attack whatever flag because that base had 2/3 defending. Absolutely the wost players always do this. And the stream of salt and edgyboi comments that come out of them when you point this out....
All BGS: Kill or at least harass healers! Also the opposite is very true defend your healers! WSG: you only need 1 to defend flag Hunters are great for this. You dont have to kill the EFC but slow them down so your team can adapt in time. There is no time limit so all going D is pointless, you are dragging out the match. Owning Mid works but you must do it from the start. And have 1 defending Flag encase a druid or a rogue slips by. Also if you Ice Block (mages) or BoP: Blessing of Protection (Paladin) while carrying the flag you will drop it. AV: Defending Towers after you capped them. Have a back cap team capable of doing such. Smaller 10 man premades are perfect for this. And getting the last GY RH: Relief Hut (Horde side) or AS: Aid Station (Alliance side) is your top priority GY. Having a geared tank with heals is perfect for going for the last GY's with a DPS or two. AV is a race to cap! If it turns into a bottleneck capping mines and turning in resources is a must.

Well even if you are a regular pvper it still reminds important points that people tends to overlook a lot.
Almost all I did in Vanilla once hitting 60 was BG, even after getting high warlord. After three years and an expansion, most people I saw still didn't understand a lot of the points made in this video. I'd wager it's still relevant.
Avoiding the SH cap isnt just about porting up the map it also means dying Alliance stay at SH gy

Biggest mistake is people just not listening, if you are not good at communicating or shot calling then it’s imperative you listen to calls and be aware of the situation. I can’t tell how many games where we dominate skirmishes and battles, but lose the game because people go on their own flanks or have know idea what the enemy/our team is planning.

(C) killing efc or protecting flag carrier

That is not true from my past experience. Maybe overall, but not in my BG's. I always played both, but my friends all alliance. I pulled my brother over to the dark side, and we had so much fun. We made 99 twinks once. That was so fun ganking 100's who never saw it coming. I hit harder than they did, and a blood dk. I just had to kill fast. My health pool was much lower. They had timewalking gear that was 100 gear a 99 could wear. It was terrible for pole in a BG withany of my twinks. My boomkin was scary too. A whole team couldn't stop one of us. Two of us was just carnage. Classic is twink heaven. I am going to have people pretty upset. My gear to me is crap beside my staff of jordan. It is all still well put together with maxed engineering for my level. I see 60's with my headpiece for 36 frost damage. I am 35. People are in huge trouble. I have hand of edward the odd for a shaman with all sorts of goodies i hustle on AH. Buy low, sell for double to triple. I get gear for characters i don't have yet. Think way ahead, and plan things. Be creative if your server sucks. I have trouble getting help, but it is there if you find a person who want's gold. Play the AH like the stock market. Do what it takes. Make alliance dominate. Get solid teams premade. I don't bother. I carry them, and horde anyway. We did destroy alliance badly, but that was me on the team, and others like me. I play alliance too when they let me, and prefer the human racial to any. I like two sick DPS trinkets.

The guides you've been doing are so incredibly simple and basic I think a brand new player would rarely find useful tips when watching these videos? There's no legitimate higher gameplay tips made in this video whatsoever? Also since when have WSG tree/stump side ever been a thing just say east or west.. just a few points I think would be good mentioning regarding the title of this video, how about ensuring priests/shamans being aware of how important purge is; dispelling freedom, BOP, FAP/ rapid fire / hots / any other good buff... secondly don't be that guy that refuses to heal if they have the ability, or to CC and don't break other people's CC. Buff at start of games /bring your own consumes. Don't pop CD's for useless situations (like a pala bubble when they're clearly going to die, save it to help a flag cap). What about focusing healers instead of DPS or mages decursing curse of tongues and shams/druids/pala dispelling blind, rogue poison and viper sting. Making use of all class abilities it's a huge mistake people don't do. What about not picking up flag when you're only person in base and they're about to make a cap / or not waiting for rest of the team to help support picking flag. Priests need to mind vision efc, track humanoids , bla bla blah I could go on for days it's all good saying "get better communication" or "learn your class" but you never explain how or why this is important

I would like to point one out : never NEVER ever fight near your graveyard! That's the best way to get farmed!
Not if you are the stronger team. You can hold the flag in your graveyard f you are stronger. People are there to help on the spot. I don't get farmed, I farm. If my team is that weak, I bounce to steal the flag while those idiots are at my graveyard. That pulls them off you guys. There is more than one way to skin a cat. It depends on the tools you have. Weird saying, but it fits.

The rank 14 you need to kill shit doesn't care about honor and the worst thing you can do is PM him and tell him what to do. Just support him quietly and you will win more pugs. Even if he is just killing shit in mid. This is very low bar solution to a complex problem. As someone who got rank 13 without a guild in actually Vanilla. I know how to win PUG matches and you are telling people assume they give a shit about your rep/honor in a pug fight. This will lead to in fighting and lost games. This is even more true if you are PUGing as a healer!
The strongest thing you can do to win PUG matches is farm mid and make the enemies so pissed off they over commit to you. Waste their time at the healing hut. Unless you are playing like Druid or have consumes to flag run there is not better way to win a PUG match then go for psychology. You video is completely dismissive of this FACT! Being a shot caller as a dog shit player with bad gear is a way to lose a lot of games and get stuck in turtles. If you enemy have long que times and you are trying hard to do the objective you will probably give them what they want they will purposely not turn in the flag.

Punk why you spreading using poor terms like "tree side". Have modern WoW players never used a real life map? Because I see this all the time, people calling "LEFT" or "RIGHT" when those terms are relative to one's perspective and can be misinterpreted. EFC EAST, EFC WEST, its not hard. If you're with a team that's familiar with your terminology (ex. wagon horde side or tree ally side) that's fine but it's not ideal to encourage everyone to use terms that are not widely recognized. For bases the most commonly used terms are: tun, connector/lobby, balc, banana (ramp that leads to roof). For describing your own base exits, GY,Ramp,Tun, for describing enemies exits, EGY,Eramp,ETUN (for enemy gy,ramp,tun). You can say "efc going ramp" then when he's across the map "efc going etun" "efc going eroof"
