house renovations that was my job in the UK it. Sorry I'm not returning from Australia. Building materials are rapidly increasing in price over here. I presume it's the same in the UK. I'd be buying expensive items such as shower trays, taps, tiles & storing them now before inflation hit. Over here treated pine sleepers have increased by approximately 50% in the last 12-18 months and there's talk of a 25% increase in timber prices coming in May. All the best it's great to hear the Yorkshire accent

Don’t dismiss tents so quickly Karina, we had to save up for our wedding in 2000 so the foreign holidays had to stop for a year. So we decided to buy a tent to save money on holidays so we bought a Cabanon frame tent and went on to buy successive Cabanon tents for the next 17 years of camping. We didn’t camp basic though, always EHU, proper bed, decent heating etc. Basically, always warm, dry and very comfortable. When I retired in 2016 we decided to buy a Lunar to try caravanning out for 6 months then we bought a Buccaneer, which we love but the constant maintenance and expenditure on it can be a chore sometimes. The tents however are still in our loft and I guarantee that I could fetch them out tomorrow set them up on site and we would have just as good a time in one of them as our caravan. (My ‘better half’ might need more convincing though). Although we do have great memories of camping holidays with our friends and touring with just the two of us. It might be a reasonably priced alternative to serve you while you renovate🙂. ‘Here, We Camp’ mmm😉

Hi karina, good to see you back, would it be possible to do some sort of "update" vlog on whats happening with the delays with costomers orders, & when to realistically expect them. I ordered my elddis CV 80 last july with a april delivery date, then was told july then sept but still nothing concrete. We all know about the supply of certain parts to build the vehicles in the factory which is causing the issue but its the not knowing thats the problem, cheers & good luck going forward with everything..

So pleased to see your vlog; we so miss your sense of humour and hoped you'd be back. Must admit we did think about unsubscribing but only because we weren't sure if you would be making any more vlogs, but with you occasionally popping up in Facebook it seemed you would be making them at some point. Loved the mustang. When our daughter married her dream was to have a horse and carriage, which would have been impractical and way too expensive. So a friend lent us his Mustang, albeit left hand drive. But the closest we could get to a horse and carriage 😂. Good luck with your renovations. Totally understandable that you'd sell the motorhome to fund them as it's so expensive, especially with prices increasing so much, I was surprised you got your money back though, even if motorhomes are extortionate at the moment. We moved into our house in Wales last year. So far we've renewed the kitchen, utility, en-suite, changed over a bathroom and bedroom and decorated all through. Really disruptive when you're living in it but we're nearly there, with the garden on the radar next. We had to wait about 4 - 5 months each time we booked trades to do the work; it's manic for them at the moment but worth the wait for reliable people. Looking forward to your reviews and maybe you'll be able to get loan vehicles to do some travelling at some point this summer.

They are..I have done some German caravans when I was in Germany in 2019.. their design and use of space in much more innovative than here. I would happily have one or a Hobby. Thank you and its a compromise on the Motorhome.. the compact is easier for driving and parking but you sacrifice some internal space for relaxing. A coachbuilt, you have to be careful on the narrower roads mostly due to the wingmirrors but you get more space inside. If you intend to go away for longer periods then I wouldn’t sacrifice space, I would go back to the Adrial Coral size Motorhome we bought used. If its more a few days away or a night or two before moving on then Compact would be easier. I hope that helps a bit..have a great weekend 😊 Karina

Hi karina, totally agree about motorhome prices becoming insane so you wanting to release the £68,000 you had tied up in the Adria, but, why tie up £40,000 min of that Adria motorhome money in that Mustang? Hi good to read you are now "back", I am very interested to note you mention Buccaneers. I wonder if you had considered caravan payloads at this end of the market. I have just retired and want to treat my wife and I to luxury caravanning for the next (hopefully large number of years), and really fancy the Bermuda. I have the money but have not spent it as I am worried about the very small payload which means that I will have to load my 2.7 ton car with stuff and no passengers. I have tried to engage with Elddis to discuss and I am happy / prepared to pay a premium for the privilege of legally towing in the UK, but they appear to be happy as they can sell all that they produce! I don't understand their reluctance to provide an uprated chassis which I am told by Elddis designers will cost them no more and involve no retooling on production lines. Elddis must appreciate that at this end of the market customer's are likely to want movers, air con, satelite and leisure battery hence taking all the available payload. As you are an influencer and if you feel this issue is worth highlighting perhaps you can do a Vlog on it? I am picking on Elddis as I want to buy one of their vans, but all vans at this level except the Van Master have payloads circa 200Kgs. Before anyone comments the plate upgrade is only 10Kgs. Thank you Colin, good to be back and payload is always an interesting one. Have you looked at the INOS, I would suggest you do as they are absolute luxury and have a great payload. Your suggestion about payload is interesting, I will have to do some research but most big caravan chassis are the Alko 2000kg chassis which has a cost. Im not sure if the next would be plated at 2500kg. I think much of it comes down to kerb weights of cars and the small print of caravan insurance companies about 95% match. @@HereWeTow Hi Karina, at the Elddis factory visit last year I spoke to one of the Elddis lead designers and he stated that there was little to no cost for using an upgraded chassis. As for the tow car I have never seen any tow car other than a large 4x4 tugging these "beasts" so this should be less of an issue. Also the van need not be loaded to the max capacity. In reality I need an extra 90Kg as a minimum but would like 150 extra Kg capability. I could load my van with all I need and whilst I feel it would be safe I would be breaking the law and would prefer not to do this. I simply want the choice of how I travel. I have read about the INOS but not seen inside one as they are always packed at the shows. I may take a trip to North Wales for a view Have a great DIY weekend, Colin

Hi good to read you are now "back", I am very interested to note you mention Buccaneers.
I wonder if you had considered caravan payloads at this end of the market. I have just retired and want to treat my wife and I to luxury caravanning for the next (hopefully large number of years), and really fancy the Bermuda. I have the money but have not spent it as I am worried about the very small payload which means that I will have to load my 2.7 ton car with stuff and no passengers.
I have tried to engage with Elddis to discuss and I am happy / prepared to pay a premium for the privilege of legally towing in the UK, but they appear to be happy as they can sell all that they produce! I don't understand their reluctance to provide an uprated chassis which I am told by Elddis designers will cost them no more and involve no retooling on production lines. Elddis must appreciate that at this end of the market customer's are likely to want movers, air con, satelite and leisure battery hence taking all the available payload.
As you are an influencer and if you feel this issue is worth highlighting perhaps you can do a Vlog on it? I am picking on Elddis as I want to buy one of their vans, but all vans at this level except the Van Master have payloads circa 200Kgs. Before anyone comments the plate upgrade is only 10Kgs.

Thank you Colin, good to be back and payload is always an interesting one. Have you looked at the INOS, I would suggest you do as they are absolute luxury and have a great payload. Your suggestion about payload is interesting, I will have to do some research but most big caravan chassis are the Alko 2000kg chassis which has a cost. Im not sure if the next would be plated at 2500kg. I think much of it comes down to kerb weights of cars and the small print of caravan insurance companies about 95% match. @@HereWeTow Hi Karina, at the Elddis factory visit last year I spoke to one of the Elddis lead designers and he stated that there was little to no cost for using an upgraded chassis. As for the tow car I have never seen any tow car other than a large 4x4 tugging these "beasts" so this should be less of an issue. Also the van need not be loaded to the max capacity.
In reality I need an extra 90Kg as a minimum but would like 150 extra Kg capability. I could load my van with all I need and whilst I feel it would be safe I would be breaking the law and would prefer not to do this.
I simply want the choice of how I travel. I have read about the INOS but not seen inside one as they are always packed at the shows. I may take a trip to North Wales for a view

I know..I dont hang about when I make a decision! I still prefer the Motorhome touring over the caravan for ease..but it does need a lot more planning for visiting places once you’re away due to parking. All the best, Karina 😊

Loved your update vlog - McD’s great choice 😉😂 So good to hear we’re going to be seeing your vlogs again - we have really missed them. It must have been such a hard decision selling your motor home but by the sounds of it you have a big renovation project on your hands. Hopefully once this is all done prices may have come back down on the motor homes and caravans and you will be able to start touring again.
