Tuners have a heavy responsibility to maintain safety in the tune on the dyno and off it, this responsibility can and will make the job stressful. How would you feel if a tuner blew up your 100K investment?

On this dyno? No rear tires, direct hub/ axle dyno.

@@meanmrmustang the anti-squat in the suspension lifts the body of the car and pushes the rear end down.

So why are the back tires off? Are the axles bolted to something so it can measure horsepower and torque or is this just an engine dyno? Full of questions I have to know it's driving me crazy.
The dyno is bolted to the hub like the wheels do this gives a much better dyno numbers. You also dont have yo worry about tires slipping on the rollers because its bolted to the dyno

This is the 2nd car that I've seen, that made so much power, the guy had to wear a helmet while dynoing the thing.
Doesn't he wear it in ever video?
It's not bc of the amount of power being made......btw the guy running the cars on the dyno is a fuel tech employee not the actual owner or driver of the car. He wears the gear in case of accidents. If these car let go or catch fire hes gotta be protected. Also they are there bc they usually have just gotten a fuel system upgrade. Hence being at fuel tech......so until the system's been proven......precaution must be taken. ... one loose fitting at those pressures would turn the entire building into a fireball.

1) Does the EPA actually allow cars like this to be started and run?
2) Why put on a helmet when the car isn't going anywhere?
3) Why does the rear of the vehicle rise as the RPMs increase?
1 it isn’t regulated by the EPA
2 if it were to catch on fire you wouldn’t want it to hit you face
3 this dyno allows you to simulate a run with out being at the track that is what the suspension would do on a regular run
1 this shit is not epa regulated
2 if something were to explode you wouldn’t want that crap in your face
3 ITS CALLED POWER it’s literally like your on track

So riddle me this........I understand wearing the gear to dyno the car it's not for funises.....I know things can and do happen.......good on ya bro.....but why not wear all the gear then????? Wheres you approved fire hood? The one thing you want to protect the most your not.......suit gloves helmet hood choices.....but if you were running that car at a strip it would be mandatory for a fire hood. So why not here? Seems almost to me just for show since your not doing it all.

Brandon sikes.....the track in south florida require you to wear certain for either what fuel your using or the speed in which you are expected to travel......although not mandatory for a 10 second car alota tracks do have mandatory fire gear rules esp if your under 10 seconds. All I was saying about this though was that if he was on the dyno using his gear bc well either fire or metal exploding the helmet wont really help you during fire but a fire hood under said helmet will! So if he takes the time to use all the other gear why not a hood also.

Car is on methanol (alcohol),if you have a problem like fuel fire ,you cant see it burning. Better safe than sorry.
Jeremiah Kennedy you have a fan blowing anything that could possibly go wrong at you and if a burn down came off it would cause a fire
