Wow. Beautiful car and insane power.
One time. In 1977, My dad told me he wanted to take, “one of those hot rods out and nail it.” Soooo, I gave the keys to my 1967 Mustang GT, Fastback, 4 speed, 390 hp. He said, “Get in.”
He ran it through the gear’s using the tach at 4,500-5,000 rpm’s TWICE.
He did alright.
He was born in the 1920’s, fought in WWII, South Pacific and had 11 children.
I was number 8, born in 1958. He was raised on manual transmissions and always drove with two feet. He really enjoyed the ride but like his war service - never said a word. We did go to the tavern afterwards….

In No prep kings championship races just about everyone switched from turbos to blowers.
I think this year there was only a couple turbo cars like stinky pinky and Jeff luts are just about the only cars that still have turbos

Big tires? Why? Have you ever seen a Pro 275 car run??? Because the good ones run quicker to the 660' than most big tire ProMod cars do lol....(and Roger's is good one trust me)

A few years ago, dominator was the only car using the Nnoonan hemi
had a 66 GTO in the early 70,s put on 750 double pumper isky high lift cam hooker headers and was dynoed right at 500 H P all for around 300.00 in parts back then today most likely would cast 4000.00 plus for just these easy addons

Radials on prep vs No Prep....different kinds of racing. Small Radials can hook on the type of surface they run on and are mid 3s in the eighth...
