I was in class 8 when we won the world cup in 1992. It was such an enormous event that even till now i get emotional thinking about it. My dad, who isn't a very emotional person left in the air when the final catch was taken. It was thanks to Imran Khan's captaincy and his no nonsense attitude, his hunger for greatness that lead the team to perform on a whole new level. That's what is lacking in Pakistan cricket today. 1. We have a weak, timid captain who has no clue how to command his troops. He is only focused on his personal runs and milestones. 2..We have no set batsmen who know which spot they are going to play on. One time he is playing as opener then second time he is coming third down. 3. We have no proper all rounders. 4. we have no power hitters 5. we have no clue how to play modern fast-paced T20 cricket. In powerplay we are the ONLY team that plays slow, saving wickets for some stupid reason 6. we have no match winning pace attack like we used to in the past. The likes of Wasim, Waqar, Shoaib were totally reliable when we needed to defend a low score or defend 10 runs in one over. Nowadays we have brainless bowlers like Haris Raouf who have no clue how to bowl 7. we have no quality spinners who can bowl like saeed ajmal or saqlain 8. we have no batsmen who can play well against spin. 9. parchis and favortism have become the norm of this team for the past decade or more. i mean if azam khan can make it to the team then God help us. 10. people are being chosen because of their connections and area not because of their talent. 11. overrated, average players have been given too much importance and respect which as made then arrogant and shameless 12. getting paid despite poor performance or getting hired despite not performing and no accountability is also a reason why we are at the bottom.
