Dude, Bullet train takes a lot of time to build. The problem in the Mumbai - Ahmedabad route is land acquisition and the terrain is filled with hills that needed to be tunneled. And the world is not moving so fast in terms of infrastructure projects, only few dictatorial countries like China are moving fast. The bullet train to connect LA to San Francisco has not been built even after it has been planned like 25 years ago.
The construction had already started in Bhubaneswar and it is expected to open till year 2027-28 ( For metro ) & for Bullet train , some changes will be there among routes in nearby future

Question is why would you need a maglev bullet train?? An expensive to maintain and operate. China is already facing a crisis because of bullet trains. Alternate way of going about is improve current trains to run as High Speed rail, improve tracks and improve signaling. We can push normal train to max avg speed to 250 kmph. And if it is ambition that's all about, invest heavily in R&D for hyperloop trains. That's the future.
I don't know why anything below Chennai has been completely left out! The Kongu region is a highly industrial belt and Kerala is highly dense and prosperous region who can afford higher fares. Also, Hyderabad to Delhi has been ignored, despite it being a very busy air route.

Fare will be similar to the flight cost btw ahm and mum. We can guess so because when we travelled between Osaka and Tokyo, the fare was same as flight. Only difference being, no long commute to airport needed on either side. There will be fare corrections in this flight route as well once the bullet train starts operating. So roughly ₹2k more than today’s same route fare on flight considering other factors. It’s still just a guess :)
Conveniently ignoring the Howrah - Bhubaneswar line is a joke tbh! Just like Freight Equalisation Policy, which wrecked havoc on resource rich eastern states. Bhubaneswar - Hyderabad - Viza - Chennai is an important & busy route! The apparent lack of east coastal area is uncalled for. No Vizag - Chennai route, No Bhubaneswar - Vizag/Hyderabad HSR??
