    Hi everyone! Sorry for the periodic lack of content. A lot of developments surrounding North Korea have been happening in the past week and I've been pre-occupied with research on a plethora of content that I hope to share with you all soon. Now that this video is finished you can expect to see a breakdown of the recent military parade in honor of the 75th Anniversary of the Worker's Party of Korea VERY SOON! Thank you all!

      It sure has been getting crazy recently, hasn't it? I don't think any of us were expecting crying Kim!
      Interesting video as always, you find some good topics.

    6:53 I am surprised that there is a place named Obama in Japan.

      Yeah, that entire city lost their shit when would be President Obama ran for office in 2008. I was going to make a joke about it but decided it wouldn't be appropriate with a video of this nature.

    I saw a picture of Megumi when I was taking the subway from Ueno to Shinjuku, thinking how can anyone abduct a 13 year old girl, brained washed or not, it’s horrible, the look on her face on that picture still haunts me 😢

    I think that another reason for these dissappearances, specially in low age children and simblings, is that they saw something that made the spy lost his cover and them they were kidnapped to avoid being discover idk it makes me feel so sad, I don't see other "reason", you can't steal their identities, they can't teach about their society or their languague, why them? I remember reading about the case of a girl that dissapeared in Japan in the 90s, and they thought about this at that time so even in the 90s people remembered this mystery, at the end it was saved years later and was related to other person but I remember they suspected that it was NK. Maybe you can make other video about the kidnappings in South Korea or even Europe too.

    • @NorthKoreaUncovered
      @NorthKoreaUncovered  Před 3 lety +1

      I can't think of any reason as to why you'd need to kidnap a seven and three-year-old. To think those kids are in their 40's now and have grown up without any recollection of their old lives or what their lives would have been is truly heartbreaking.
      I do plan on making a video on abducted South Koreans as well, but there are a lot more of them so making an entirely different video is necessary.

    I find it impossible that 5 out of 17 or 800+are all dead and I wonder why Kim jong il did it, it could have been for revenge but why did they kidnapped Europeans or South Koreans and it could’ve been to give North Korean high officials wife’s but there are a bunch of pretty North Koreans so why did they need to abduct someone and why are they so important in North Korea, what are they doing that North Korea wants them so much, this case will always remain a mystery all we can do is hope they can return back home and see there family and friends again

    This could easily be like a version of forensic files North Korea edition. I know this is a serious topic but I can't help but think of Peter Thomas narrating something like this.

    Super interesting story. Maybe you are interested in the "Yodogo" Incident and the Japanese Red Army? There is a great book on the kidnapping of the Airplane to Seoul and then Pyeongyang, as well as their activities for the DPRK in Europe and the "Japanese Village" near Pyeongyang. The book's title is "Destiny: The Secret Operations of the Yodogō Exiles" by Kōji Takazawa. It has been translated into English in 2017 I believe.

      I've done a fair bit of research on the Japanese Red Army. I plan to make a video on South Korean abductees in the future so that sounds like a great book to read for some research. Thanks for the recommendation!
