Nothing rare about it if you watched the recent seasons 😂 I’d be shocked too if I watched a show mid way stopped over a character death, and some clip of the show from a later season popped u
I cried during this scene because although Negan did the same thing to Maggie and the rest of their people and actually killed Glenn and Abraham, Ezekiel chose to change the outcome of karma towards Negan so he can understand mercy
I honestly don't have anything against Annie. But killing her alone would have been the perfect justice against Negan for all the people he murdered in front of their families. Not saying it would be right for Annie to die, but it would be fair as well as preventing Negan's bloodline from continuing.
Isn't it funny how in this season Eugene got lied too and understood how the group felt and later on negan realized how Rick and everyone felt during the line up 😂😂
The writers nailed Negan's story and made it even better than the comics' story. He became a cult member, then killed Glenn, Abraham and now he sees what he did, he knows what a horrible and unhuman thing he did cause even if Rick's group killed innocents, Glenn was a wrong pick for him to teach everyone a lesson. He cried in front of Maggie multiple times, he sees what she sees in him, the bat that killed the most precious human-being in her life, he burned Lucille just to feel a little less of a guilt, he put his humanity inside his bat as a copingmechanism, and now realises the pain he caused with it and now the people willing to die for him and as he sees that his look tells everything "Confusion and sorrow". Even tough they are not Rick's group or weren't there that day, this scene is so beautifully made and it was mandatory cause after this scene Negan tells Maggie "When I was begging for my wife's life, and I was down on my knees I realised how you could've felt that day and Maggie... I am so-- so sorry for what I did to you..." Peak.
Look in the comics maggie and dante goes to negan house for killing him but negan is repentant and sorry for killed glenn and maggie no kill him only because negan was willing to die and maggie didn t satisfy him....negan redemption is very emotonial..in the comics and in the show....i love that
Some people have to experience something themselves to finally have empathy for others. It's his personality type. I do wonder if Rick's group would have done this for him lol
He always had empathy. Remember when we met him, Rick's group had just killed dozens of his people. He would've lost all respect as a leader if he didn't respond. All things considered, he only planned to kill ONE of Rick's people initially. That was a fairly moderate response. But since we saw things from the main characters' perspective it seemed somehow more cruel and evil than Rick and friends gunning down all whole building of faceless people. These people also had wives, husbands, kids... The whole Negan persona was something he thought he had to do to keep people in line.

As a person who just finished TWD I gotta say... I loved season 11. I don't understand the hate it gets. People are complaining that it isn't like the old TWD, well the old TWD was situated in a different time, with different problems and different places. The new TWD is exploring problems humans may encounter in big surviving communities and their attempts to rebuild. Thus, the new TWD can't be the same as the old TWD.
People CANNOT be happy with anything nowadays. It wouldn't matter if TWD put out a cinematic masterpiece, people would still complain and nitpick every little thing.
I also finished a month ago, and I have to say that I didn't like Commonwealth story and their characters. I liked season 10 more, the Whisperers story was more interesting and Alpha was better villain than Pamela and Hornsby. But season 11 wasn't bad at all, I liked the beginning and the Reapers story, and finally the end of was also very good.
@13yattien I agree with you on some points. But yeah, Pamela was a bad villain who didn't have a lot of potential, but Hornsby... Hornsby had so much potential that got wasted. I loved every scene with him, though. The reapers also had a lot of wasted potential. But season 11 felt so different from the other seasons. The cineamtics, music, and acting were on a different level. Season 10 wasn't bad, but it was boring sometimes. I love what they did to Negan and Gabriel tho!
It’s like fans didn’t expect or want the world to evolve. Like they thought for ten years the characters would still be going to war over a decade old can of creamed corn. It just tells me so many fans don’t understand world building.
So this scene is impactful. But you know what would have made it more been more impactful? If some of the remaining people that were originally put in Negan’s line up stood in front. Showing that Rick’s whole philosophy that Hershel started, the idea that we get to come back from all of the things we did and the people we had to become to survive. Even Negan can come back and showing people willing to defend him when no one from Negan’s group tried to defend Rick’s would’ve shown such a strong parallel all these years later.

His blood and brain matter splattered onto her face as she screamed and begged for Negan to stop😑. Negan doesn't know the first thing about watching a spouse get "obliterated"
Maggie: well well well
Eh...whole thing was her and the groups fault tbh
We'll what?
You had three chances to spell "Well" properly
“How the turntables”
I ain't gonna beg, I ain't begging you!
Merle Dixon ❤
No.
The governor
Well deserved - Ezekiel is an angel
I find it heart-warming not only did almost all of the troops lower their weapons, but one even defended the innocents. 100 speech is op.
except for that one idiot who tried to defend the warden
@@hyperion447 to be fair, there's a difference between refusing to shoot innocents and turning a gun on your own superior. The other guy got shot before he could be talked down.
Negan was begging like all the other ppl he killed begged him not to kill them the irony 🙄😅🤣
That’s not irony, it’s a turn of fate.
Actually, he was trying to save his wife and unborn child. He accepted his death but wanted her and his child to live. Remember Nagan and his people had a line they would NEVER cross, children, and that extended to pregnant women also.
@@Baldeagle-tw2nv dunno what negan you remember but negan and saviours did way worse than what we saw (rick and his people actually had it not that bad compared to what they did to the other communities)
Jesus said that the saviours killed a kid at hilltop when they first met
They killed all the boys at oceanside
Negan was gonna kill carl
He stopped pregnant maggie from getting help
I do still think Negan did change and become a good person but dont forget what he did, I liked his redemption arc but his line "I would never kill a kid" is complete bs as well as the thought that negan ever had any moral boundaries idk how when you were watching season 7 you got the impression "negan seems like a good guy who would never kill women and children"
Simon killed the boys at Oceanside, negan loved the kids regardless of how ruthless he was?
Imagine she is dying and negan surviving somehow , well that would be the end of this world truly , a negan of whole another level to bring terror and suffering on his own way
Ohh how the turns have tabled
Daryl was like, I’ve been on this side before, not again…
I love Princess's body language from 0:55-1:01 -- "Go ahead and try shooting us all, you MFers! I dare you!" And Princess didn't even KNOW Negan or Annie.
Stormtrooper but they can actually shoot
Way for Daryl to always make a last minute entrance lol just to kill someone my boy. If merke could see who he jad become i think he would be proud
Its so frustrating to me how 99% of the ppl commenting stopped watching in season 7 and are bitching ab how Negan got too much mercy. Here are the facts: you guys are uninformed. Negan got the punishment he deserved long ago. He's gone through PLENTY of shit to make up for his actions. If you actually stuck the show through rather than whine like a baby, you'd realize that this is an incredible scene with phenomenal writing.
No, many just don't think he deserved to be saved by Rick. Many given a second chance may also have changed for the better. But you never know once you kill them. He turned out ok in the end??...so what. That is how some think. I would never have forgiven him if he had killed my partner. I would have just waited and killed him in days, months or a year later. Ricks dead son cannot be the judge and justice for others in my view. Rick should have at least asked the group.
@@SCD4 he doesn't deserve forgiveness, but he doesn't deserve to die either
@@mrcheshire104 Well Rick and team killed many others for less.
@@SCD4 Thanks for further proving my point. Every single character in that show has committed an unforgivable crime.
@@mrcheshire104 Well I never said they were perfect. Only what I would have done in that position. It was not just that he killed them but the way. I would have just done a Shane, ignored Rick and shot him or wait for an opportunity.
It would have meant so much more if it was all characters that were in the original negan line up and then took his side to defend him, but dumb ass Scott gimple sent them all away for dumb ass spin offs.
Edit: I mean just imagine, Daryl Eugene, rosita, and Maggie all watching negan in his knees then begging for his wife and those 4 standing up for him
To be fair most of those actors quit
How is Daryl always there, ready with a knife! LOL
Daryl is like snake sneaky stealty and most importantly deadly
Rule #9 Never go anywhere with out a knife.
I think I need to watch the last season of the walking dead, I didn’t know Kelly got Hearing aides
lol I haven’t watched since S10 I got no clue what the hell is going on here.
@@stoormtrooper22 it’s a lot like the comics. They find a country within the United States. By country I mean community that spands many hundreds of miles and has over 50,000 people and has its own army
Damn my dyslexia; I read that as "I didn't know Kelly Hearing got AIDS" and was wondering who Kelly Hearing was.
This reminds me of clone wars fives and Jesse execution lmao
2:03 😧 NO! KELLY!
I totally forgot about the new group that shows up after the Alpha saga. Talk about boring and forgettable
fr fr. I honestly feel like Negan was a good final villain. Everything should've ended with him. The whisperers were interesting but the writers couldn't really craft a good story arc for them. What a waste of a good show. That's what happens when you make everyone a main character
I feel like they tried to make capitalism the villain, which, after the other villains, didn't seem bad at all 😂
@@dorryoku919Oh god not another person complaining about how they wrote TWD.
@@Bang-Bang415 maybe there's merit if there're so many complaints 🤷♂️
@@dorryoku919 Nah I just feel like so many people want the iconic feeling of the OG Atlanta squad where the biggest issue was food and surviving zombies. Most people never wanted anyone to ever die which is very realistic. I think some people just weren’t okay with a TWD without Carl and Rick
Imagine if in the end Negan and Annie were executed together. That alone would’ve convinced Eizekel for example that the commonwealth is just as dangerous as the Saviors were at their worst and even more evil.
1:24 she is like ah fuck this is not what I expected to be
It’s so heartwarming
Dixon always come through
He was behind the guy and could have disarmed him easily, there was no reason to kill him and completely contradict Ezekiels speech
Consider the warden is relieved of command
I somehow always want to Play Death Stranding when I see Daryl XD
liked the notion but can easily tell the extras never believed about the notion of about to die for someone
Dr. Jenner surely has been through a lot

An undercover CRM? xD Which could explain why CRM could easily avoid the Commonwealth for all these years
What does crm have to do with french

That could explain his coldness telling his men to kill an inocent and pregnant woman and her husband, if it were SCM soldiers on that line they wouldn't think twice and shot them both dead in seconds.
:03 the guard looks like Shawn Michaels 😆.
HBK!!!!
thats why he change, At first I hate negan but after all he was pure inside, a villain has its own story why he ended up no heart at all.
like killings ricks team coz rick was the one who killed negans team.
more negans scene pls...
Why do i see some comments saying forced diversity ruined this show like what did the hijab lady do to you? The poor woman had the least screan time and y'all are attacking her for wearing a hijab..
Why us muslims never care about almost every hollywood horror movie/series have christian people in it (nuns popes... Etc) at the end of the day it's your life your decision but don't attack other people for their decisions.
Plus, it’s literally The Walking Dead. This is the show that made conservatives 12 years ago turn their brain off for diversity because “it was an apocalypse setting”
It’s always been diverse.
@@magiccookies420Read the book. That's why people say it's too diverse. And it is.

I loved Negans character when the series introduced him ❤️🔥 he a mean badass mudafuqr which made me love him more.I was really sad though when he killed Glenn n abraham.
I wonder if part of the reason Negan wanted to sacrifice himself because he killed Glenn (and Abraham)...
A man being murdered as his pregnant wife watches
@@BadOompaloompa79 I can't really say Negan's arc was bad writing. It was a slow and steady progression - his current self constantly pushing back at hid old, twisted self

Is this the moment Negan became Heisenberg?

Very emotional scene ❤❤
I'm not gonna lie, this scene makes me goosebump.
Always count on Daryl

Ezekiel is so great suceeding
I will say I like the redemption arc, but Negan was cooler when he was evil!
