I am an avid cigar smoker and if I am properly smoking a cigar (medium size like a Robusto) it will take about 15 to 20 minutes to go to the butt. If you are just holding on to your cigar without smoking it it can burn much longer than 20 minutes because there is no air eing sucked through it therefore it is burning very cold and slowly.
