I was attracted to men that were nice & treated me well but were what some women would consider plain. I would rather have nice personality over handsome jerk. I had the chance to marry someone 21 yrs younger than me that was nice looking but went for an older man that treated me well & we have been happily married 12+ yrs. Yup..I met a man after I had left a 28yr abusive marriage..I thought.. wow..I'm getting attention. It took me a bit to see the whole picture..he was always crying poverty...but he owned a house and acres of land...he never wanted to go out in public..obviously he was seeing other women..and he'd show up conveniently at dinner time.e..he had his phone on vibrate all the time...yet said I was hearing things..I eventually said if u was going to be used..he could at least leave money in the table whe. He left...some men are wired that way..so...RUN

She had this ONE opportunity to speak to his heart. To speak in a manner that would encourage him to seek guidance and support.
He was attentive to her. That was her way in. Then she degrades his parents ( without knowing if they're dead or alive). Then she criticized his appearance, intellect etc, again without knowing anything about him. Still he was not rude, he continued allowing her to spew.
When Jesus spoke with the woman at the well, he did so privately. He didn't minse his words, BUT he spoke to her with care and compassion. When the woman left the well, she left feeling hopeful and not hopeless. When we get that one chance to speak with someone who is wayward, we must always try to leave them feeling hopeful about themselves, not hopeless. 🤷🏽♀️👍🏽
