You become unkillable after a boss dies so that scenario doesn't happen. If you watch the ventus rando with bosses over normal enemies then you'll see it occur multiple times.

Taking hits after beating a boss is actually pretty common when fighting No Heart. I don't think you take damage in that case, but it's really funny
