Edit + TL;DR: Argilla and Roland/Heat both max whatever mantra they have equipped before the end of Power Plant when they return for the Sun, my recommendation is scrounge enough money for Godly Beast($400,000x2) and it makes them way easier to be of use because they'll catch up on mantras missed out on during their absence at like triple speed. Currently about to ascend to the Sun in my PS3 playthrough (although I doubt it makes any difference) and I'll report back on whether or not party members will auto-master their mantras. AFAIK it's only Sera and Serph that don't auto-master a mantra when you progress on to the Sun. Right before Power Plant ended both Argilla and Roland(Heat) had Godly Beast activated (6* Mantra: Insatiable, Atma Premium, Devour Mana) and I've got enough money that right before Karthikeya I'll activate Formless on Cielo(7* Mantra: Null Ailment, Vanity) and Dragonslayer on Gale(9* Mantra: Divine Light, Fire of Sinai) and some other on Sera and Serph just for redundancy sake because I doubt they auto-complete like the others are speculated to.

So, I actually looked into it a bit, and for the Atlantica Pink Guy, if you use Aero on your whole party, have them surround the Pink Guy, then use stop, then begin comboing on it. Can reach the 60s if done right, which is enough for the Serenity drop. Probably won't get you to 100. But with practice, could probably be a bit easier than Deep Jungle For them.

You think Guard Armor is hard in this playthrough? Imagine doing my personal challenge playthrough, "Spite the Organization". Here's how it works: Sora is not allowed to kill, or even attack, an Emblem Heartless. The only time he is able to is if it's a Boss Heartless, and even then, only the final hit. Pureblood Heartless are free game. The point of this challenge is basically to release as few Hearts as possible. Because the Keyblade isn't killing the Heartless, Donald and Goofy are. I had trouble with Guard Armor, and I grinding out until was over level 12 so I had things like Guard and Tech Boost. Anyway, a few rules I ended up making for the run. 1. Obviously, don't attack Emblem Heartless unless it's to final hit a Boss that won't die otherwise. So far I found one boss that I could avoid attacking, the Stealth Sneak in Deep Jungle, just taking out Clayton finished the fight. It still died, but not by Sora. 2. For the Coliseum, the first run of a Tournament, with Sora, Donald and Goofy, all rules still apply. The Rules don't apply for the Time Attack and Sora Solo runs. I class them as non-canon to the run. 3. For the Special Heartless, I count however many successful Synth Drops I get. And even then, some, like the Black Ballad, don't die, they just run away. 4. The Mushroom Heartless. The White Mushrooms don't count, as they vanish, they don't die. The Black Fungus, I'll say do count to the score. The Blue Truffle doesn't count, unless you get the max hits and it dies. The Pink Agaricus doesn't count, as it's a Special Heartless, so only successful Synth Drops will count. Obviously, you can just go without all the synth grinding and all. But I wanted to also see how much I could do within the rules. In this case, I'm also keeping score of which Emblem Heartless Sora ended up killing, as well as how many if they are mobs. This run would obviously also run through KH2, up until the Organization is defeated.

After last nights stream, I'm highkey proud of you man, you literally got the worst of Rare Heartless Synth Materials in like 20 minutes, while previously bemoaning how ridiculous of a grind getting Ultima Weapon was. You're making my 2nd and 3rd casual Beginner full synth playthroughs look like I'm a gaming journalist on Proud who's never played KH1 before in comparison. You also pulled multiple big brain moves like doing Rare Heartless before finishing Hollow Bastion, in addition to the early Lucky Strike. I never realized how much the post-HB changed besides the HB heartless spawning in every world. Also glad to see you sounding happier on stream lately, very Zen and seemingly genuinely enjoying yourself. You called me a dumbass like 5 time during the beginner mode run, but honestly that's one of the things I've liked about you, you're unapologetically yourself. I remember a stream a couple years back you were going off on chat about how you aren't their friend, and immediately knew you keep it real. Because yeah, why on earth would someone you've never even met, let alone interacted with outside of of Twitch Chat, think they're for any reason your friend?
