I have played drums for over 40 years. I have owned all of the top of the line gear, played in a lot of professional settings, had a blast along the way. I have been a subscriber of Meytall for one reason. Not because she's an attractive young lady, not because of her playing ability, which is as good as it gets. My reason, because no matter what song, genre or difficulty, she's always smiling and loving the art. She is an inspiration and a great role model. Keep up the great video's and continue to love the art form.
She's also hot AF.

This bothers me. Her skills, yes, undeniable. Her smile, showing us just how distracted she is, dissapointing.
Every time I try to watch her anymore I am thoroughly impressed by the idea that she is doing this for the ego trip. Not the music. I want to see her lost in the music, completely mesmerized by the work. Professionalism. Not distracted by the camera. (or is it, whoever is holding the camera)
We shouldn't be watching because she is pretty or hot.

She's the reason at 53 I started building drum boxes. I've found my greatest joy in life from a young lady who was not afraid to pound out her own rythm.
I have played the drums since I was 10. I’m 61 now. Played professionally for 42 years. I can’t even wrap my head around doing a drum cover of dream theater. I’m gonna try this year. This gal is very gifted. Congrats!

I just seen a different video and someone mentioned her so I am seeing her for the first time and just like you been playing since I was 8 and I’m 61 and she makes everything look just so easy! And then I remember that I never had a double bass until 10 years ago!
No question about that she is by far the best drummer I ever heard!

Just wonderful from a drummer who started playing at 12 in 1968 then, a Hendrix cover band at 15. Very inspiring. Just diagnosed with Parkinsons but refuse to stop playing. God bless you Meytal.

Oh my God that fill at 6:30 was SO clean and effortless. So nice to see the motion difference between the rolls and final crash hit where she hits with the fulcrum instead of just the wrists. Amazing cover overall!!! Really enjoyable
Just watched the video, very good but typical rock drummer using matched grip.quite possibly her good looks helps, and of course her enthusiasm too. I've played for several decades, took lessons in high school, and enjoy all the greats; Peart, Bonham, Gadd, Palmer, Cobham to name a few. Also appreciate all types of music, jazz, r and b, rock, etc. Now, for something extrodinary, listen to any of several buddy Rich's Solo s from the mid 19 seventys, and what he does with far fewer drums. For desert, Google Michael shreve' s solo,( drummer for Santana) played at Woodstock 1969. As fun as it was, What I just saw doesn't hold a candle to either of the 2 mentioned before.

I teach at senior high schools in Japan, and there are a LOT of girls who drum (seriously, more girls than guys drum in Japan!) - I show them your videos to get them psyched up, and they love it every time!

just from what playing I do, I know for a fact that you can't play fast stuff if you aren't relaxed, but she takes it to that upper level.
Progressive metal is not as fast as regular metal so, the drummer can be a more laid-back kinda drum play, but still, you need to focus more on alternative fills, tempo adjustments, and so on. ^_^
