Super cool Benjamin! I hope you get those autofocus settings figured out soon. That camera/lens combo looked fantastic.
I hope so too! But been fun working out a new system. Canon is very easy to learn, which i like. Just need to figure out and tweak the AF settings for video. I wish canon would also bring Clog2 to the hybrid line. Knowing canon I dont think this will happen.

Footage looked really nice as far as I can tell through youtube! I wanted to ask Benjamin, have you still been playing with this combo? If so how has the AF been treating you? I have an R3 and I am very tempted to get this lens for next season.
Yes, I still use it. I haven't been using it as much as the 100-500mm, as I've been traveling a lot and find it easier with a zoom lens. However, it's a good combination. It may not match the autofocus performance of the newer RF lenses, but it is more than capable of getting the job done. The lens is very sharp and not too heavy compared to some of the older Canon EF super primes. Considering its price compared to other options, it still holds up strong

A lot of my old videos where filmed with the Sony A1 from the last year like my Slovakia films.
the sigma 150-600 adapter has a known pulsing in and out focus do you get this with the prime ?
There can be when it does not lock on. But once it locks on it pretty much stays on.
thanks for sharing , how do you rate the canon R3 compared to the Sony A1?
Autofocus is amazing and also on the A1. I prefer the feel and ergonomics of the R3. But I do really miss the crop factor of the A1 50mp. I feel that the one thing I would change and miss for the A1. Oh, and if they would add clog2 in it. Not a fan of Clog3 just not as flexible as Clog2. But an overall super camera and so is the Sony A1. I do prefer the RF lens as well they just feel so good a robust, but far too expensive.
Sony a1 or canon R3 which would you choose?
That to hard to say. I think the A1 may have it with the 50mp files. But Camera body build and mostly video apart from dynamic range I give to the canon.
