Very nice. I have a C300 Mark III, but every time I see images from the C70, I think: *damn*
It does have something about the image. Very nice on the eye
Amazing work!!!
Thank you so much đ
Just found your channel, Benjamin. Brilliant work - keep up the good work mate.
Welcome aboard! Thanks for the kind words
When you say itâs not the sharpest /high detailed camera Ben what exactly do you mean ? 4k camera with an RF L series lens ??? Iâd have hoped it would be sharp ? Infact for the price Iâd be very very unhappy if it wasnât biting sharp ???
They of course are sharp. I more mean it's not down sampled from 6k to give you details like some other mirrorless cameras. But in a way I prefer that more filmic look
Your very knowledgeable!!! Love your work! Have you been on Nat Geo?
Thank you for the kind words. No not been on NatGeo before. That would be a dream!
@@BenjaminSmail hope you get there. You seem very passionate and your equipment is outstanding and you can really see it in the final product! The music you use is too, very modern and professional. Quality on par that of David Attenborough and NatGeo. I want to watch more lol đ„Č
Thanks so much! I dont think I can live uo to anywhere close to those Goats!
Very nice video. Makes me wanna go back on safari. Which lens support do you use?
Thanks! I am using smallrig 15mm rods with 8SINN UNIVERSAL LENS SUPPORT that screws into the lens foot. Then th camera is mounted to a Smallrig baseplate and Arri dovetail plate.
@@BenjaminSmail thanks. I found a similar, but way cheaper lens support than the 8SINN. It's from Nitze. I also bought my follow focus from Nitze. Great stuff. I'll have a look at the SmallRig base plates. Currently I have one for the C70 from Wooden Camera. It can't support the weight of my Sigma 150-600 Sport.
Amazing footage
I would like to know how you've connected the lensfoot to the 15mm rods
I am using 8SINN UNIVERSAL LENS SUPPORT 15MM and threading it stright to the bottom of the lens foot.
Sony FX6 no option? Also has pre-record, 120 FPS, great dynamic range, internal ND's and you can use your 200-600 from Sony ...
The C70 got a better image ( fx6 looks like every other sony mirrorless cameras) more DR, raw codecs etc. Besides having a C70 and a R3 is a superb combo imo.
Yes really want to try the FX6. And see how it compares with the C70. I am enjoying the super35 sensor cameras at the moment though. An the FX6 not having the option to punch into super35 is probably the main reason I lent more to the Canon... for now!
The ND system is the FX6 was the biggest attraction for me and low light performance. But stil have the Sony A7s iii for that.
@@BenjaminSmail Having the basically same sensor does not mean it's 1:1 the same look which is awesome - but's it's so similar that it's easy to edit and combine the footage. I am also using the A7SIII currently but I have to admit the FX6 is much more capable and advanced IMHO. Only thing I am "missing" is a IBIS in the FX6, but of course that's not a killer criteria.
Yes I am sure it has still a completly different look. I just mean I have the same ISO performance if I need it for extreame low light situatons with the Sony A7s iii. But, looking forward to finaly trying the FX6 for myself. An looking forward what Sony has to offer further down the line with there Cine range.
Can you get more pre record time and 4K 120 iin the C-70 if using an external recorder like Atomos...? thanks! ;)
I belive you can get 2secs pro roll on the Atomos in 4k and 8 secs in HD. I dont think you can do it in ProRes Raw though. But not tested it so not sure if it can do more.
@@BenjaminSmail thanks!!! Cheers!
Yes been loving the C70 my all time fav camera now. I hope they will bring a newer version out with a viewfinder as well. The file size and DR of the camera is so good.
You can do 120 fps with the C70
Yes you can but not with the pre record function enabled. Well I have not found a way of doing it yet.
@@BenjaminSmail you are correct
