Chanel is one of those brands that people will crap all over because they associate it with "old lady" makeup, but when Chanel gets something right......they get it right. The Illusion D'Ombre shadow in Emerveille is one of the most beautiful shades I have ever seen in my life. It is the absolutely perfect balance of gold, peach and pink. It genuinely disappoints me that the shade is no longer in existence and I am constantly looking for a dupe. If they ever bring it back I am buying 10.

You might like “coco crush” which is a shade in the coconuts pallet from Colourpop. Best shade I’ve ever worn in my life. It’s a peachy champagne color with incredible wow factor. The photos online don’t do it justice. I apply with my finger.

@@katieeckler7543 it is a shame! That's the one thing I will say I dislike about Chanel, they definitely do a lot of seasonal colors it seems. Or at the very least, they don't keep all their colors permanently. Those shadows that seems especially true with. I found that shade one year when my mom's work hosted some "Women's Night" event and they had artists from Chanel there doing people's makeup. The shadow, blush, and lipstick they used on me are all along gone.

I got 2 red lipsticks from Chanel and they look so good! People bash Chanel for being overpriced but honestly they are worth it. They deliver for the price point and the people who bash Chanel are the same ones who have 10 red lipsticks from drugstore brands with zero finish 🙄

YES, Chanel is my all time fave makup brand. Always so elegant. My go to every day lipstick is the Rouge Allure lipstick in the shade Rouge Angelique, it's perfection! Loved this video, your closeups are the best

You’ve completely transformed my makeup aesthetic and makeup looks. I’d never even tried a cream product before finding your channel and now I could never go back to powders! My favorite make up channel! Your swatches are always perfect and realistic and you always have interesting reviews. I hade the Mademoiselle lipstick years ago and it's truly a perfect lipstick, beautiful color, formula, texture, smell. Elegant and weareble everyday.

The content was exactly what I was looking for, plus you are very well spoken, which unfortunately is hard to find on YT. The product reviews are not filled with lots of "filler words" either. This was just darling to watch 🖤 Your excitement applying the Water Fresh Tint was intoxicating. I exclusively use this as my Summer complexion product. It blurs my mature dry skin.....and I use the shade Deep as my bronzer in the Summer.
Well damn I must applaud you on this video. I’ve been wearing Chanel make up for the last 10 years. I started with the mascara because I have very sensitive reactive skin and Chanel make up never upsets my skin that being said your review every single product here was 100% spot on this video is essential for anyone who is wanting to try out the line at Chanel …….they should sponsor this video this was so well done I cannot tell you enough enough.
I pulled up this video because I purchased the water fresh tint yesterday so I tried it on while I was listening to your review and it is a phenomenal no make up look and I’m almost 60 this was a wow moment what a beautiful product thank you for your content . Wonderful👏
I got the Les Beiges tint after watching Katie Jane Hughes use it. I love it as primer. I love it over primer or as a second primer and because I'm one of the two people who likes Becca zero, I love it under that. It's legitimately worth the cost and I AGREE about the brush.

I bought the Chanel Water Tint when it came out and at first I didn’t get the hype! Then after a while I became obsessed with it and now I use it everyday and I am on my second. I got a shade much darker than my normal skin tone and it works like a dream to warm up the skin and looks so natural. I just use a little concealer where I need it x
YES! That's why I feel like I need my self tan shade for the summer...what a unique product

Amanda, how would you say these Chanel cream and liquid shadows compare to your other favorite cream shadows - such as RdF Eye Soots in Half Light, TF Platinum, CT Oyster Pearl, and the Armani tint liquid shadows? Pretty please consider a video swatching these side by side! Doesn’t have to be a long video, but more of an “appendix” video since I’ve watched (and LOVED!) all of your previous cream shadows videos!

I have never been happier to find a video!! 😭😭 thank u for sharing the news that the i’llusion d’ombre new moon shadow still exists. That shade was limited edition seasonal upon its launch in 2014, I believe it was the fall 2014 range here in the UK and I fell in love with the shade and haven’t been able to get a hold of it, or similar since!! 😭 I still had my little jar of it from that collection and hardly use it, but it was my most complimented shade at the time of use 💕
Patine Bronze is my absolute fav one and done eyeshadow but New Moon seems amazing as well!

I use Ultra Le Teint Velvet from Chanel. Obsessed!!! It’s so skin like and mellow, apply with fingers and buff it in. Will have to try that brush !

Once I got started on Chanel, I immediately was hooked. Now I’m a Chanel addict. I can’t think of one product that I’ve purchased that I haven’t loved, with the exception of some of their mascara samples I’ve received which for whatever reason just don’t stay on and give me raccoon eyes, but that happens with most mascaras I try. Yes the products are pricey but to me they are totally worth it. Glad you are enjoying your products.

YES! I knew you'd love the water fresh tint!! I'm telling you, in the summer when I'm tan, (I surf and I'm half Puerto Rican so I can get quite dark), it is the most magical, gorgeous base product EVER!!! I keep meaning to pick up a lighter shade for other times of the year, but I think, after some thought, that it really is a specific-for-summer item for me...now I must try the cream shadows, they look delicious and perfect for summer as well, being long wearing and such...anyway, cheers from the bay area!!
I like that you covered a lot of the classics! I've been interested since I first got into makeup around 2014. People were talking about New Moon back then! I want to add that the Chanel Rouge Allure Velvets are a good formula, if you like a lightweight matte.

I’ve never bought anything so fast as that New Moon eye shadow. I never wore eyeshadow until recently, inspired by your one and done eyeshadow videos. I’ve been wearing Oyster Pearl most of the time but I’ve been craving something with a purple undertone and this is the one!

Chanel foundations are some of the best in my opinion. I’ve tried a lot of high end brands, and if I could only pick one, this would be it for foundation - and not just the Water Fresh Tint - lots of amazing options 💗

I love the Dior Airflash and Guerlain L'Essentiel Natural Glow Foundation but I've never tried anything from Chanel so this video is perfect! I loooove their powder highlighter in ivory gold, the lipsticks, the ombré premiere in Platine bronze is also incredible even on my oily lids

Thanks for this video!!! I think that bronze eyeshadow may be just what I’m looking for! I feel the same as you do about the texture of Rouge Coco Flash. It’s disappointing. I like the shades Chicness and Casual, but I’m decluttering because I feel they are drying. 💄 Video requests: I’m so interested in the Chanel stick highlighters. In particular I would love a video comparison between the sculpting and clear shades. Also would love to see a big comparison video on all the skin tint products you have.
I absolutely agree with you about the fragrance in their base products. Would much prefer if they went fragrance-free or at least give us the option for it! Anyway, love this video 🥰 Chanel is one of my guilty pleasures brand but there are of course hits and misses. Your reviews are always so thorough and informative!

My mom has the Pearly glow, I have the Rosy glow, the rosy one has less shimmer, but still they both are very nice products for combo skin.

Chanel is my favorite luxury brand. When I want to buy something I know will last, I get something. Plus, the smell is divine.
I love to use one of my water fresh brushes for the les beiges as well . With fingers or a brush you go up to medium coverage but still looking lovely and skin like and luminous
Love this video! Also, may I suggest you check out Les Beiges Bronzer in Sunset from last year's collection? That's a gorgeous shade and the formula is the bomb for an everyday dewy and natural look. I even got a backup since its the only bronzer that looks beautiful and natural on me. And your comment on NARS orgasm was spot on! I'm definitely getting Rose Bronze now! xx

In response to this review, I purchased the skin tint. I’m 55, have texture, hyperpigmentation, etc. I was worried that it would t cover anything, but I prefer a low to no makeup look. This foundation is so good! It covered more than I expected for a light coverage product, looked so nice and wore well.

The stick blushes and highlighters are great. I saw 2 other comments about Sculpting...I would highly recommend. I want to love the Flashes because of all the gorgeous colors, but they are too thin for me. I have small lips, and they just slide right off. Definitely prefer Rouge Coco formula, and Suzanne is also my perfect shade. Great video.

My most used makeup, so many great formulas.
I’ve never wanted anything from Chanel till now, but omg your swatches really sold me on the New Moon eyeshadow, so beautiful! Was shocked to see it’s $36, still expensive for a single but I thought it would be like $50+ being Chanel. I have 1 hourglass scattered light in smoke and it’s my favorite eyeshadow ever, so I think I’ll love this!
@@dear_totheheart I googled quickly and it does look like it might be discontinued! I ended up buying one direct from Chanel a year ago and it was all dried out when I received it (like dried into a ball rattling around inside the glass jar). They sent me a replacement and that one was dried out as well. Maybe it was on its way out back then too
@@dear_totheheart that’s also my preferred tone, here’s a few that I have that are similar to New Moon - Hourglass scattered light in smoke has a very similar kind of sparkle to it, but color is slightly more bronze/taupe. Laura Mercier caviar stick in intense amethyst is also close but more silvery/purple. Anastasia Beverly Hills single eyeshadow in pink champagne is also similar but lighter and more pink. I like all of those! New moon seems like a cross of those three to me. Worth swatching if you’re in a Sephora or makeup store!

I am not new to Chanel but never purchased the water fresh tint even though it is the kind of coverage I like and was very intrigued. Based on your video I did finally purchase the water fresh tint and the New Moon eye shadow in a pot. I've been a very good girl and have chilled on my online shopping, but this I could not stop myself.
Le Volume mascara has been my holy grail for years. I have tried literally dozens of other high brands, low brands and everything in between and nothing compares. It gets better with age and lasts months for me. I have been disappointed in many other Chanel products. I will have to try that New Moon!
Maybe I should try wiping down the brush a little!!

Love this video! One of my favorite Chanel makeup product that I think you would love is the baume essentiel in sculpting. It doesn’t seem like much but is really the most beautiful, wet looking highlighter. It’s an oft overlooked product which is a shame!

I LOVE chanel makeup 🥰 by the way, Chanel has recently re formulated their blushes so if you like the baked blush, get backups or more shades! The new blushes are more pigmented so they can work on more skintones. I'm waiting for them to be available in Canada so I can purchase them 😍
