Don’t be fooled by all this optimism by fanboys of the Jets because the co-owners will not do whatever it takes to field a Stanley Cup team.
I really pray next season ends up being a rebuilding season. Let's increase our chances & do what we can to bring Michael Misa. I think we should also bring in his Saginaw Spirit Head Coach Chris Lazary to be apart of our coaching staff. Let's get Joe McDonell to be our new GM & Bring in Stan Tugolukov as Head Coach. Both from the Dallas Stars. Michael Misa is the centerpiece we need to build a championship dynasty.
The Jets won't be bad enough to tank for Misa, sorry to say. I don't think the team could afford a full-on tank anyways, and they have too many good players to go that route. It's better to draw from their current prospect pool and integrate them into the team.
@@LockedOnJetsNHL You make a really good point. Plus tanking doesn't automatically guarantee the 1st overall pick anyways. I really want Misa on our team though. I mean we can always propose a mega star to whatever team gets the first overall pick next season. I'd make everyone available (except Vilardi & Rutger McGroarty) to get him. I'd give be willing to give Kyle Connor, Nikolai Ehlers, Cole Perfetti & 2 future 1st rounders just to get Misa. I know it sounds like way too much for one player, but Misa is a generational talent that will sell tickets & win championships.
@@cesarcanete3402 It's not just a tanking doesn't guarantee a first overall pick; there's no guarantee a top-10 pick in a given NBA or NHL Entry Draft. Yes there are the LeBron Jameses, Auston Matthewses and Sidney Crosbies to the world but also plenty of duds (among them Nail Yakupov [Oilers], Raph Araujo [Raptors] and Jake Virtanen [Canucks]). Hitting on players who go 11th or lower matters no less, and some have been superstars.
@@wainber1 I agree with what you said that high rated draft picks doesn't guarantee success, but this is Michael "freaking" Misa we're talking about. This is a kid that broke Conor McDavid's OHL scoring record as a 15 year old & won the OHL cup MVP also as a 15 year old. He's the Luka Doncic of Hockey & it's ironic that he wears number 77 too just like Luka. No way in heck Misa is gonna be a bust & I'd do whatever it takes to bring him to my Winnipeg Jets.
@@cesarcanete3402 Whether Misa will be drafted by the Jets isn't clear although:
- during next year's NHL Entry Draft he'll be eligible to put his name forward
- Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby, who the Raptors respectively drafted during the 2016 and 2017 NBA Entry Drafts, went onto play instrumental roles for their draft team during its 2019 championship run, and those guys were drafted in the 1st round, but not even in the top TWENTY never mind the top-10
- I've watched quite a few games, not just those that've involved Canada's under-18 and under-20 men's teams, of those youth men's tourneys to try to pick out potential NHL draftees, with Canadian ex-World Junior Logan Stankoven having gotten to play non-preseason NHL games with the Dallas Stars after having played much of this season for their AHL affiliate
Jets Don't deserve a player like Ehlers ? Not used nearly enough, Stupid coach decision mixing lines up like a cake mix batter very embarrasing to the fans that pay big bucks to watch the Jets?
