    How can a CBD alter her course. She can't alter her course because of her draft in relation to the available depth of water, for that's why it's a cbd

      she is not RAM she can alter is there is enough depth and sea room

      @@yuvrajsinghvirk5063 kaunse year me hi beta tum. Jao jaakar CBD ki definition padho pehle. Tum toh gadhe ho. Kya ram kya nuc kuch maalum hai tumko. Ram kabhi bhi if necessary can stop her work and manoeuvre as required by these rules. You don't jump anywhere where don't know shit kid. And yes if she has enough sea room then it's not a CBD itself.

      Even I'm confused how can a cbd alter her course. As per definition, it is severely restricted in her ability to deviate from the course she is following.

    • @mcTREXmcTheAmazing
      @mcTREXmcTheAmazing Před 2 měsíci

      My thoughts exactly, it makes no sense. A CBD is only a CBD when she is restricted in her ability to deviate from her course. So how could she alter to keep out of the way?

      Avoid overtaking in NC in rv

    • @saeedalidousti6187
      @saeedalidousti6187 Před 8 měsíci

      I think should avoid overtaking in this case, because sound signals in rule 34 should use when in sight of one another, so the overtaking v/l how can indicates her intention for overtaking???
      So overtaking in restricted visibility is not allowed
      Am I right?

      prep sir why echosounder is not a main input in ecdis and one more sir why ecdis is not a anticollission tool while it is an anti grounding tool ?

    • @oralexammmdprep8110
      @oralexammmdprep8110  Před 3 lety +1

      Ecdis came as an alternative for paper navigation, thus basic requirements of equipment, which is also the IMO performance standard is GPS, GYRO and Log. However many other equipment are now interfaced including Echo Sounder, but they are more like a secondary display, not affecting the basic requirement of navigation, for ex. If the echo sounder or radar fails, a navigator would still know where he is and where he is going. Thus, it not required as main input.
      Coming to the second part of your question, anticollision aid is about avoid collision with available targets in the vicinity. Ecidis doesn't provide any new or direct information other than what you are already receiving from Ais or Radar. However when taking action as per ROR, it is pertinent for a navigator to know the available sea room to avoid grounding. Thus, Ecdis is more of antigrounding aid than a collision avoidance. I must add that, nevertheless, a navigator must use all available means including ECDIS to avoid collision.

To my mind any 'passage' has to be safe as such both may mean the same from 'ordinary practice of seamen's approach. Courts may interpret these terms differently though, have been unable find any clear ruling on these two terms so leave their interpretation open to debate. While 'passage' simply indicates 'passage', the prefix 'safe' may indicate some sort of navigational restrictions on availability of sufficient sea-room..."

    Sir May I please what is the difference between following:-
    9b
    “… which can safely navigate only within a narrow channel or fairway”
    and
    9c
    “…any other vessel navigating within a narrow channel or fairway”

    • @oralexammmdprep8110
      @oralexammmdprep8110  Před rokem +1

      Take two examples. Depth around a 10m deep channel is 2m, vessel draft 9m, another vessel 1m. Both can navigate but 9m draft vessel can only navigate safely within the channel.
