Thank you for your service! My son is in the air force and stationed in Guam and i have zero trust in Lloyd Austin and i believe Milley is a traitor and should be court marshaled for contacting the Chinese. How could these 2 goofs come up withdrawing from Kabul and allowing the Taliban to play TSA. Why did they not use Bagram. Why did they leave all that equipment behind that could have been removed with a more gradual withdrawal. Who actually is responsible for this hairbrained scheme for the withdrawal? I fear for my son's safety and other military service members as they are considered "expendable" by the current and previous Democratic leadership (see Obama/Clinton and Benghazi debacle).

The question was if he had any regrets over the manner of how the withdrawal was executed that left thirteen service members dead. He admitted that he had none. We very recently had one of the survivors of that bombing testify that he and his unit had eyes on the bomber and could've eliminated the threat but were given no order to engage despite multiple attempts at urging action due to the seriousness of the threat. The chain of command failed to act - perhaps intentionally - and thirteen members of our military are now dead. And Lloyd Austin said he had no regrets. The sad part is we have a commander-in-chief (who never served in the military) making bad decisions, so do you support his wisdom concerning tactical military decisions, Mr. Secretary of Defense?
That four-star general has a combat infantry badge, he is an airborne ranger, he has a rack of metals including two presidential citations; yet by his testimony there is doubt concerning his competency to lead

Why would they regret it? They did exactly what they planned on doing from the start. The human cost and devastation matters very little these types of people. They send their own people to die for their egos and they will do so in Ukraine soon.

I agree with withdrawing from Afghanistan, but disagree completely how Milley and Austin planned and conducted it. They were so anxious to start the war in Ukraine, that they left Afghanistan in haste. Austin should be removed so he can return to Raytheon, where he’ll be handsomely rewarded for expanding the defense budget to $842 billion. Milley should be removed too; he’s too woke to be JCOS chair.

Define "woke". Just for kicks, did you know that the withdrawal started in the Trump administration? Including the release of a couple hundred Taliban from prisons? Something went wrong but it is now to move on, war is hell and the US has finally left a country after 12 years. Just a reminder, there are no US troops in Ukraine.
