It's a catch all.$20 is not bad at all.
I had neighbors who were leatherworkers and I can tell you they charge around $70 for almost the same size, but it does not fold flat. The only thing missing from what I understand would be a magnet, but otherwise, with workbenches full of dog holes, this is a nice little accessory.

That is good to know. A magnet would be awesome. I will pass that information to their marketing director. @tsoproducts

I think it will have a purpose in some but not all shops. Like other comments here, I think a magnet in the bottom would make it that much better. I have the same TSO tracksaw square that you have hanging on your wall, and it's a great product

While despite the other comments, I would not put a magnet on the bottom, but rather holes to sift sawdust that may land there and cover the items in the tray. I would have also a better understanding of the product if it was more clear what it was made of such as neoprene as example. This way I could know if I can use it during the winter for working on an unexpected repair to a vehicle or is it a seasonal item meant strictly for a wood shop. I wouldn't buy it based of the missing information, but a great video none the less. Keep the reviews coming and looking forward to your next build or review.

Thank you for the questions and good points. I hope this additional information helps answer your question. It is designed to lay flat so it can store in a Systainer lid. It is made from synthetic leatherette and therefore can be cleaned easily, I would not soak it but us a wet rag to wipe and clean it. It is water spot resistant and is designed for daily woodshop use however see this also being used in a mechanic shop as well. I like your idea of the holes to sift sawdust.

if my shop was as tidy as that 'bad ' bench i would be ecstatic. there is so much crap on top of my chopw saw and table saw that you wouldnt know they are there.
nice product. not sure i would use it in the shop. a solid tray would work fine and not need the folding feature. thats an expence that adds nothing in my opinion for a shop.
saying that i think it would be very handy in my van or some of my tool kits for on site. it would be very handy for hanging door for example to put all the bits in as you open all the little bags and packages . in those situations having a folding tray would allow it to go into the tool box and take up very little space

It needs a magnet on the bottom. That would make it more useful

Um, not for me. A box works just as well.
