Susan's enthusiasm for light painting is contagious! Glad to discover that my old Olympus ME -1 has the feature to do composite lighting. The inner child is taking over! So much creativity, Thanks Susan!
What gear are you adding to your list? Come back next week to learn how to use low level lighting for portraits! bhpho.to/3NKf54I
This video is so timely! I have a shoot with a client on Thursday and she contacted me this morning inquiring about incorporating "lightsabers" into the shoot. One 14 minute video later and a trip to Home Depot and I've got a light wand to paint with. Thank you Susan for this great video! I hope to expand my knowledge by taking one of your workshops this fall.
Susan rocks! Loved her Optic presentation. Her passion for creativity is wonderful.
I never thought I would ever watch a video on this subject but the presenter has me intrigued. Very well done, couldn't have been better. Can't wait for more.
Thank you Tony!

Thank you William :)
Lived in the 80's Man i have glow/lightstix i haven used yet!! I knew they would come in handy.
Excellent presentation.
You are incredible, love these videos 🥰👍
Thanks for watching!
Thank you Helen!
I find that the little keychain flashlights are a great, low-cost starter tool for light painting. I shoot Panasonic M43rds and I find their smartphone app is a great remote to control the settings and shutter release. I really like Benro's entire line, but lately I've been shooting on a Vanguard VEO 3 travel tripod.
Hi, great video. Could you specify the brand and model of your waist bag. I have been looking for a model just like that for a long time. Thanks
I want that tshirt you're wearing.😄 Love your videos. Very good explanations.
I got it on a back packing trip in New Zealand at a gift store. I loved it too.
Really great video! I love that you show how you can either use tools that you already have or tools you can buy...thanks for sharing these amazing techniques! Are there links to the products?
Links to the products are listed in the description above.
Do u use 1/2 CTO gel on your flashlights to warm the LED ??
My question, how do you paint and shoot the camera at the same time, say ss at 10 sec, you have to be going fast to get it all in. or do you use a remote trigger
Hi! Good question, I use a remote trigger or you can use a 2second or 10second delay to get into position
There is a missing link of the sturdy tripod, what model is it ?
The larger tripod that is in this video is the Benro TAD28C. bhpho.to/3eFVFSD
Can u plz specify the waist bag ?
You can find some options here: bhpho.to/3o0gWbi
Love the camera top. Is that a B&H product?
Hi! Thanks, it’s actually a t-shirt I got in New Zealand but I agree, B&H needs to start designing T-shirt’s!
@@photouradventures7467 Noted.
I still own an OM-1 film camera purchased used in 1986.
Please show examples with each tool. It will help us determine what we need for the desired effect.
Check out our whole series with Susan Magnano where she will show you which tools to use and how to use them for light painting.
When will the next episode air:
