Thanks, Gursahib for a good advice. each country, and in case of Canada each province, has priorities. these priorities are codified in laws, immigration programs and support resources. if you can align your priorities with those of hosting province, you are likely to do well.
Very True! Those who know are the ones who have struggled.
In India agents are pushing students to take any college in any province saying them that they can live anywhere in Canada and dont have to go to college as the course is online. Students are not even aware that when they take admission in colleges they do get health cards like MSP or UHIP and hence they are provincially bound or else they need to opt for private health insurance which could be expensive. Also they get ID cards from province and that could take time to get delivered to your place. One should not go on agent saying that land in province and submit documents in college and then in a week go anywhere in Canada where your friends or relatives are.

Until 2020 (pandemic), most lifelong Canadians would have proudly & quickly said Canada is a great place. For multiple generations (young & old). It still is in many ways. But like all countries, a bunch of things have made life more difficult lately.
During the COVID lockdowns, many people in apartments (or major cities) went wild wanting to buy homes everywhere (urban & rural). Increasing demand and rising prices. Not long after, inflation caused mortgage rates especially to rise. Rent costs have soared too.
People interested in working in hospitals declined. Less doctors etc..
Simultaneously in Canada, the number of people coming by air, land and boat to claim asylum SKYROCKETED. For example, in 2023 alone, in just one region (Ontario) around 300 people arrived per day (on average). Ditto for other populated provinces. Also the number of international students skyrocketed too. Averaging around 1,000 per day in 2023 alone.
Hospitals then hit with many wanting free healthcare. Less doctors/nurses etc., means greater waiting times.
A severe housing crisis has occurred in many western countries including in Canada. In ways not seen in people's lifetimes.
The majority trying to migrate to Canada recently have been from South Asia. And it's become extremely obvious to Canadians. Even those that are very used to much diversity & many cultures. Plus neighborhoods now know that international students are primarily using a 'back door' ticket to come to Canada for permanent residency. No one says it in public amongst strangers, but everyone knows because they've witnessed the extreme PR frenzy firsthand by now.
Bottom-line. Now westerners want greedy people in other countries to stop marketing/lying to their own people about access to PR or citizenship … or accommodation/jobs … being easy (to get). And for greedy westerners in the mix to be ashamed of themselves for hurting students.
Not all players across the board have acted honestly over the years, i.e. false asylum claims, contract marriages (IELTS spouse), anchor babies, fraud. Overseas 'agents' doing things to make $ off of people's PR desires or desperation. Canada has asked the India government to prevent “ghost consulting”. Colleges are being investigated (including for foreign interference). Some not respecting Canadian ways (harmony).
Then this year throw in all the Palestinian vs Israeli angry protests happening regularly in cities. Plus the Sikh vs Hindu violence/extortions across Canada. Plus the Canadian government also recently launched investigations in regards to foreign interference in Canadian elections, stemming from Asia continent. Hate crimes have gone from rare to occasional.
Canadians are so so not used to all this. So many, who have embraced multi-culturalism and immigration for decades are now worried and fearful (due to all of the above). And all are praying it doesn't turn into great anger (like in the USA).
Canadians want multi-culturism to succeed … and for all people to be okay. Everyone I know is very happy with Canada Immigration's recent changes (reductions). Including multi-generational Asian Canadians.

My name is Govind. I just have one query and which is bothering me. I have applied for my US Visa for travel while I’m studying in Toronto. I have got the earlier date for Calgary and today itself. I received the mail regarding my DS 16 form it says if your D6 form does not matches the Calgary address kindly fill the new DS 160 form I have contacted agents. They are asking money to fill my DS160 form I don’t have any idea about this. Can you guide me through this process? Do I have to fill a new DS 160 form and mention all the information as my previous form or can I make the changes?

sir recently some of my friends moved to canada after 12th and with a skill of tattoo making
basically after their 12th they joined a course of 6 months in our city to be a tattoo artist and for 3-4 months they worked as a tattoo artist also they bought a tattoo machine which they took with themselves to canada

Yes you are right bro....I am also in GTA region...... I have been searching for jobs from the past 4 months and not even a single person showed much interest..... And on the other side one of my friend who was not even interested in doing a job as she is from a very rich family back in her home country......she got a job without even going out for a single day for job hunt just by reference of her relative.......So yeah reference really works......I have asked many people how they got the job most of them tell me by reference till now I have just met a single person who said he got job from indeed after 8 months.....That's why all we need is a reference as well as hard work.... but to begin a job we must have a reference

Travelling anywhere from the west of Toronto to Scarborough which is in the east of Toronto can take anywhere from 1.5 to 2 hours. Brantford is on the west side, very distant from Toronto, with no known (at least to me), direct transportation. Changing transit will cost you hours (3 at the very least one way) and a whole lot of dollars. Move to Scarborough which is very immigrant friendly and convenient. Rental is also on the lower side.
