Please 🙏 tell me how to get back to a previous version, the new update just made this completely useless. Or is there a hard-copy version I can buy liberal license it doesn't have this horrible update? I just cannot fathom why somebody thought it was a good idea to remove editing features
I agree. I'm not liking the downgrade at all. There isn't 1 task that is easier or quicker for me. Not 1.
Great update.I like it.The Audio Director has voice replacement which is cool. It wouldn't be a bad idea if you created a video tutorial on how to use the tools. If you can make detailed lessons.For example, how to find interference in a spectral instrument.We have to rely on automation, because it is not clear where the interference is and how not to remove the voice or the desired sound instead of interference. Also, the masks in Color Director have kind of gotten a little more stable and that's just as good.
I think the image generation in Power Director has gotten better. If at the first attempts it generated not very good images, now it is better. Lots of good tools over the last year - well done!
But there's a problem.After the last update I lost my favorite transitions:))))

This new version offers minor fluffy improvements, but has made it WORSE for experts! No video opacity adjustment on the timeline? Double click no longer goes straight to 'advanced' video editing? Just two of several infuriating regressions. Fix it or I'll be finding a new editor. You've ticked off a loyal user...again.

What have you done to PD? I hate it now! It is making my work load higher and these new changes look and feel horrible. STOP IT! and put it back the way it was. At least have the play head snap to the start of any segment I click on or give me the option to turn this back on. GOOD GRIEF! Fire the person responsible for this dreadful update. I have been using PD for YEARS and this is the worst thing you have EVER done to it...

You're not alone. Lots of negative comments on the new version. You might as well relearn some different software at this point.

Hi is there any way to stop 365 randomly pre rendering and having a small green bar at the top of the timeline? It does this randomly and sometimes messes up my timeline and loses frames or sound and is quite frustrating!
Cropping from 4:3 to 16:9 now involves manual placement of each side of the image instead of snapping to a pre-set box. All these things are causing more work!
Features removed? First use encountered two operations that I've always used but now cannot find:
a) I used to Edit a Video property, such as Expose, on one clip. Then I would "Apply to All Clips." Where is "Apply to all" hidden?
b) Example I slice a segment and set it to a high video speed. To retain ambient sound, I would lock just the video timeline and drag the audio to span the silent high video speed section. Now unable.
UPDATE: Regarding "A" - I found that there is a better method than "Apply to All." Video adjustments can now apply to all clips in a group. And the "Color Match" is a good way of bringing clips into matching color balance.
Hi! I'm a lifetime version user of Power Director because usually I use program offline on country side faraway of internet signal. I want to know if Power Director 365 annual subscription works same offline like lifetime version ?

I am using Powerdirector for a few days now and ran into a problem that I can't seem to solve:
When I try producing my video it instantly produces another project tap I have open and not the one I want.
Even if I manually mark in yellow the project I want, it still produces the other one.
Now I know you would say just close the other project tap but that instantly clears the project I am working on...
And I can't copy and paste my project to the other one.
How do I solve this?

I could not use PiP designer especially I want to use chroma key. I can use that key before but now the new update is very disappointed for me. Because PiP is shut down immediately when I click button. I report and ask to technical report but can't solve the problem. Could you help me and I wanna use the old version.

Hindi font is the biggest challenge in this software. We Indians use English alphabetical keyboards for phonetic Hindi but power director 365 is not supporting that writing skill. Writing Hindi is a big and time consuming task in this software.
Just upgraded to a new version it's really awesome. Love it. But the Hindi font issue still continues. If we write Swati in Hindi: it should be "स्वाती" but in this software "सॖ वा ती" which is very irritating.

i was editing a 2 hour video then the whole video turned green and a different colour, i just lost a whole days editing because of it.
It sounds like you enabled 3D preview or produced your project to a 3D video. Please make sure you produce your project to a 2D video if you are not editing a 3D video. I'm not able to produce our video nor upload it to our CZcams channel due to Power Director app keep on saying on our moble "no memory, what can be done to fix this issue?

Completely frustrated after buying Power director 365 a month ago. There are no tutorial available. Picture movement with anchor point is not available. Feel like waste of money
Select a clip on your project timeline and then access Edit -> Pan/Zoom to find the feature. The below Online Help is for your reference.

I am way behind guys, I'm sorry 😅 The reason why I'm here cuz I saw an ad to my 2015 version (which I still use til' this day for probably 5 or 6 yrs now) that says "New Release 2024 PowerDirector", and I was like hmm, is it time for me to upgrade? Let me check what's new. Its been awhile since I last visited here 😂

I found since upgrading to power director 365 when i drop a zoom in fx onto a basic title it wont zoom the title anymore? It just turns it all black eventually? Not sure what im doing wrong as it worked fine in previous versions. Now you would have to turn the title into a video clip to be able to drop a zoom on it! Its really frustrating or have i just done something wrong here? I just want to easily zoom into title texts
Hi there, you are able to apply Zoom animation on your title. It is quick and easy. Put a title on your project timeline and double click on the title to access Title editing room. You will find the "Animation" on top of the panel. Find and drag "Zoom" animation on the title to make it animated. 😃

Los cambios en el programa son horribles. La interfaz es delirante y no ofrece una impresión de profesionalidad. Muchas funciones son peores ahora y el flujo de trabajo es mucho mas lento. Sinceramente, es el peor cambio que he visto en un programa de edición en toda mi vida. Es horrible
How can I remove the AI effect?
If you add the effect on a clip in the timeline you can then just press the small icon on the left of this clip -> There you can see what you've adjusted on that clip (color, effects...) -> so click on what you want to change and it opens up a new window on the left -> there you can press the minus button to remove it.
After trying to create a full video with this new update, I simply cannot believe how totally stuffed up this editor is. Transition effects are jumbled and I cannot even find what I am looking for. Transitions that used to apply over the join between two clips have now reverted to being just one side ot another and I cannot find out how to revert it to MY PREVIOUS SETTING! The change in not jumping to the beginning of a clip I click on is INFURIATING!!!! This is wasting my time as I have to double click to get the same behaviour but then close the pop-up editing options that appear. NOBODY ASKED ME about this awful changes and THEY SUCK! You have ruined what was once a really great piece of software. Trying to type text in a title is slow, the letters appear well after I have typed them. The whole thing is utterly frustrating and a pain in the butt! You can rest assured that I will be sharing more of my thoughts on this mess as I try to work with something that is now a real hassle to use. FIX IT!
Good grief, yet another hassle. now when I click on a video in the work area it startts playing automatically. I don't want that to happen. It makes selecting a series of clips are pain as I have to turn off play manually. You really haven't thought very hard about these changes. They are simply frustrating and annoying. At least give us the option to turn all this rubbish off!
