I agree with you. PD has video tutorials, but they are like an advertisement for Pepsi- here's a tool, it's great and buy it quickly. And how to use it in detail will not tell you.They are not very good at product promotion (PD).They also have great AI tools that they were one of the first to create.But for some reason they didn't develop them.and have just now caught up:).
Now all of the tutorial videos that other people have spent time producing just went out the window and we have to work twice as hard to learn a new program. They should have just left it alone instead of trying to add all of these AI Kiddie features. If I can't go back to the older version that worked for what I needed then I will have to find another program. Downloading this new version was the worst thing I have done in a very long time.
I am 66. This tutorial goes way over my head instantly. Waaaaay too much info thrown in going sideways for a beginner's tutorial. Nee the basics without going off on tangents. Very, very frustrating.
don't fix what's not broken there are so many basic things you can do in the old version that you cant do now. The main thing was when you split a clip the play head would automatically move to the clip you clicked on which was one of the main things I liked about power director the fact that's now gone is crazy, if I cant revert back to the old version then its bye bye cyberlink.
Sadly there are changes that reduce the ease of use. 1. When clicking on any of the clips in the timeline, the time line marker does not move automatically to thd beginning if that clip you are trying to view. Now you have to move your timeline marker over. You sometimes get lost as to which clip as you need to move your eyes off the clip to click on timeline marker..very frustrating. 2. There used to be small lines diferentiating the different tracks assisting you to drop clip on right track... now is very frustrating since the tracks all are black. Maybe you can assist me in helping find the setting to change this

I was just about to mention this as well, when clicking on a clip the marker would move the the start of the clip which was very useful, now this has gone it makes it less user friendly😢
I am about to get rid of PowerDirector 365 for THIS EXACT REASON. Your update has made your software much more cumbersome. Please put back the ability to SNAP-TO your clips while editing!!!!!! You have also removed the ability to speed up "Fast-Forward" by double-clicking on the button....WHY??? lol I'm a wee bit baffled that you guys consider this an upgrade. Don't mean to be snide...but I'm going back to using my Powerdirector 16 until you right this wrong!! lol @@PowerDirectorOfficial
I would not recommend upgrading PD. The UI changes make editing take much longer because you have to click so many more times. MANY, MANY more. You'll eventually find the function your looking for, if it wasn't removed, but you'll still be wasting time with a lot of extra clicks to get there. No respect for editor time.
What is the last good version number of the program? I'm just coming to the table needing a decent video making program so I can build videos for my family's weddings and funerals. I am so lost, everyone points elsewhere, when you get there, the Keke at that new program hate it, what do I try and use?
In the old version you were able to adjust the transparency (increase/ decrease/fade in/out) of the video by pulling down as you do with the sound files. You cannot do that now without going into some sub menu = entirely cumbersome. This new version is a disaster! I hope this is fixed in an update soon because I am about done with this program. I heavily depended on that feature for my social media posts and its just gone.

In the 2024 version, I cannot find the Storyboard accessed by the TAB button. Another concern is the Continuous Thumbnail on the video timeline. I used to disable it from the Preferences, but now I cannot find it to disable it. Can I have two versions of PD on my PC at one time? Thanks.
I'm not liking this new version! We used to be able to crop and reposition the video frame within the same area. Now cropping and repositioning are in two areas. This makes my work twice as hard. Is there a way to remove this new update???

Can't see where to edit the video's length, cut and use or discard parts of the video. I don't know where to go! Surely, we can still do this? After working with it some more, I am seriously considering changing, since I have to kind of start over learning how to edit videos anyway. They said to make comments below, but I don't see where they are answer all of them...At least, not mine.
Thanks for new UI. One suggestion, Timeline goes from top to bottom, yes we can change it from settings. The default settings should be bottom to top like all other popular video editing software.
went a little fast for me. A few things when you zoom in and out of clips back squashing the timeline what does that do ? Also how do you save a title you've edited ?
I agree! I'm not a stupid person but man, this made me feel like an idiot! It's impossible to read the captioning and watch the "show" at the same time. Even when I'm not reading the captions, by the time I find the arrow to follow along, it's moved to the next step and I've missed what was said. The highlighting is nice but goes so fast, there's no time to take in what was highlighted. And I've even used this program to produce a few simple videos so i already have a very very basic idea of where things are on the older version. It would be nice if they took a breath in between transitions and all the screens flipping around is super distracting. Maybe say, "we're going to talk about each option across the top first" to give the cue that you're talking about those things, and in order, so we know the flow.
What happened to the PIP designer? I do a slide show at the end of my videos and I could just right-click on the image to access the PIP Designer and then animate the slide.
I had a custom title that I was using for years and I was able to quickly edit and "save as" a new custom title. I can't do that in this new update. How can I save custom titles?
I have the same problem. How I can save some of the custom title or efects? It's very dificult now to edit videos when you have to create every time the same titles etc.

Thanks guys for the update.The interface is much better! I have also noticed that the generation of images in the PD has become better.The images themselves have become higher quality. It would be great if could add own models to generate. For example, from Civetai's website. Also if your team can make it so that the person himself can choose the color of files, text, audio and other things. I know can't do it all at once, but ...:) And there is a technical question.I bought myself a nice PC, with a great 16GB video card.For some reason when I add effects, text, transitions, the program starts to slow down and automatically turns on rendering. I mean not just one or two effects, but decent on 4K video.And there is enough memory both in the RAM and in the graphics card. I understand that all editing programs are already quite old and all slow down from time to time. But maybe you can somehow make it so that as long as the memory is enough everything works fine.It doesn't always happen, but it does happen nonetheless. Thanks again for the work.

I'd like to know more about how to use the Video Collage Designer: How about sound ? How do I adjust levels, if I have made 3 windows all with different sound. I would like to have a quire in one window, singing low, and two windows with people speaking one after the other, but I don´t see any posibilities to adjust and mix sound.

Hi. I'm having issues with my Power director. It tends to crash whenever I publish or even try to save my project. I can't even tell as to whether my PD has a problem or it might be my laptop, ie due to capacity issues
When I output 50hz or 60hz videos they are not smooth. In the media info I see that the original uses a 4 frame buffer and my video only uses a 2 frame buffer. How do I get output with 4 frame buffer?

What I’d like to do is make a film from a series of 1 to 3 minutes short videos and photos. I’d like to be able to joint them together harmoniously, adding narrative in some areas, so that it presents itself as an interesting story. Is it possible with PowerDitector? If so, how? i really understand it very well.. but i did not understand how do u export it? can anyone plz tell me how do we export the video. am new in this app.. and a question dose this app have error in it? bc i used capcut and it had many problem in exporting i could not export a file that i was working on for 5 + hours... and it was all gone to waste. so plz explain it to me before this happens again.
This speed version of an intro is good for users already familiar with the ap. Where can I find someone making a project and not going so fast. I'd like to see them actually do it.
This is what I find with most of these tutorials . They automatically ASSUME you know certain things already. They simply won't slow down and take things literally one step at a time.

Hi Team, love the helpful videos and pleased with the new layout of PD. I just wanted to ask something which you or someone else may be able to advise. I am currently attempting to improve the quality of some of my old pre-recorded VHS tapes. I wondered if there was a go-to method for this in PD, any particular setting that one would use straight away which would help improve. It is more to remove as much of the drop out on the picture and improve stereo audio. Any ideas would be great or a link to a video for this subject. Thanks.

@@PowerDirectorOfficial where are the keyframe attributes ? eg ease in / out ? Also, trying "user defined" item, I can use mouse to size the frame grabbing the corners, but I can't move the frame with the mouse, but need to use the arrow keys.
The playback marker doesn't automatically jump to the clip I need to edit, now editing a wedding has become complicated. I hope they resolve it soon so I can accurately select the beginning of each clip and not get lost in the timeline. Sad.
I too have owned power director over 10 years. It is sad and disappointing to finally realize that it is owned and manage by incompetent folks. The changes you made to 365 makes it a completely different programs. Yet you market it under the same name. Completely ignorant of the impact that has on your current customers. You had a good product but it was much too big for you and apparently you weren’t smart enough to get professional help.
The tutorial looks interesting. The product looks interesting. I am new to video editing and wanted to try it out. I downloaded the free Windows version of PD365 2024 and installed it. I have a small mp4 video on my local drive. I started up PD and it asked me which version I wanted to run. The free version or two paid versions. I'm just trying it out so I selected the free version. It starts up and I tried to drag and drop my test video into PD. But it tells me "that feature is only accessible to users of the Premium version"!! So importing a file is considered a premium feature? Wow. I guess the free version is only to show you the UI, but you can't actually do anything? This is not good if right off the bat it doesn't work.
One Moment, to download PD for mac is necessary to download first the CyberLink downloader and will make my mac full of virus and keystroke recorders? and at Apple store it is only available for iPad and iPhone? Please provide a direct link for Mac, May thanks.
When I load PowerDirector 365 I’m still greeted with the old interface tried looking in the application manager and no new updates there went to the website tried installing from there and it’s still giving me the old interface What am I doing Wrong? I am using a Mac book pro someone please help!!
Is there a way to go back to the previous version? this version is buggy for me, clips will randomly stop playing, both play heads sometimes stop moving even though the video still playing, everything freezes up when I download new fonts and some clips will auto render even though they play fine with no lag or stutter

@@PowerDirectorOfficial It's ok figured out why it's doing it, they were 120fps clips, my aging computer can't handle it to well😆it's fine with my usual 60fps...thanks for replying and this is such a good editor, really enjoying using it, was using VSDC pro for a few years and this just blows it away and is not that much expensive

If I understand your question correctly, you are asking the produced videos. The produced videos will still be in the folder where they are saved. Update your PowerDirector 365 will not make they disappeared.

the new version just wont let me play or edit any media will not play at all have uninstalled and then installed again still the same trouble put titles in or audio and then nothing will play very frustrating with this new one windows 11 and a new fast laptop still freezing the play option

Some things I like, and some things I absolutely hate. Looking at the putrid color for the video for several hours is sickening. The white on blue on the sound track makes it very difficult to sync video and sound tracks, there needs to be more contrast there. Background colors need to be muted to reduce eye strain. They also removed features that saved me time, like clicking on the clip and the time marker moving to that location. They have yet to fix the bug for PD apps remaining active after closing, necessitating having to open Task Manager and closing them there in order to start working again. How do I go back to the previos version?

@@HokgiartoSaliem Works on I5 without any problems.Only need to have more RAM.But I used to use PD with I5 8GB RAM and a very bad video card.Everything worked.

Where is edge enhancement button? I can't find it in this new version. (I update from powerdirector 20)
You can use Edge enhancement in Keyframe -> Adjustment.

Double click on the clip on a project timeline and then click on the "Advanced" button to access PIP Designer.

Hi there, select a clip on your timeline and then access Edit -> Opacity/Fade/Blend to adjust opacity or using Keyframe to do it.

@@mikerochesternope. The new ui requires a lot more button clicks for just about every task. A real time waste for end users.

I'd like to know more about how to use the Video Collage Designer: How about sound ? How do I adjust levels, if I have made 3 windows all with different sound. I would like to have a quire in one window, singing low, and two windows with people speaking one after the other, but I don´t see any posibilities to adjust and mix sound.

Hi, would you know how to zoom in on the preview window on the 2024 version? The older version had a "fit/size%" option which was very helpfull sinking ADR sound on actors far way. Thank you

@PowerDirector Official, what does it take to get answers to problems? I upgraded from PD15 to the much newer version. But there are simple things that are unanswered, like how to move a portion of one track to another track.

Hi. I'm having issues with my Power director. It tends to crash whenever I publish or even try to save my project. I can't even tell as to whether my PD has a problem or it might be my laptop, ie due to capacity issues
When I output 50hz or 60hz videos they are not smooth. In the media info I see that the original uses a 4 frame buffer and my video only uses a 2 frame buffer. How do I get output with 4 frame buffer?

i really understand it very well.. but i did not understand how do u export it? can anyone plz tell me how do we export the video. am new in this app.. and a question dose this app have error in it? bc i used capcut and it had many problem in exporting i could not export a file that i was working on for 5 + hours... and it was all gone to waste. so plz explain it to me before this happens again.

This speed version of an intro is good for users already familiar with the ap. Where can I find someone making a project and not going so fast. I'd like to see them actually do it.
This is what I find with most of these tutorials . They automatically ASSUME you know certain things already. They simply won't slow down and take things literally one step at a time.

Hi Team, love the helpful videos and pleased with the new layout of PD. I just wanted to ask something which you or someone else may be able to advise. I am currently attempting to improve the quality of some of my old pre-recorded VHS tapes. I wondered if there was a go-to method for this in PD, any particular setting that one would use straight away which would help improve. It is more to remove as much of the drop out on the picture and improve stereo audio. Any ideas would be great or a link to a video for this subject. Thanks.

Also, trying "user defined" item, I can use mouse to size the frame grabbing the corners, but I can't move the frame with the mouse, but need to use the arrow keys.
Upon this new update, I cannot find the masking device or pip. Where did they go?
The playback marker doesn't automatically jump to the clip I need to edit, now editing a wedding has become complicated. I hope they resolve it soon so I can accurately select the beginning of each clip and not get lost in the timeline. Sad.
I too have owned power director over 10 years. It is sad and disappointing to finally realize that it is owned and manage by incompetent folks. The changes you made to 365 makes it a completely different programs. Yet you market it under the same name. Completely ignorant of the impact that has on your current customers. You had a good product but it was much too big for you and apparently you weren’t smart enough to get professional help.

The tutorial looks interesting. The product looks interesting. I am new to video editing and wanted to try it out.
I downloaded the free Windows version of PD365 2024 and installed it. I have a small mp4 video on my local drive. I started up PD and it asked me which version I wanted to run. The free version or two paid versions. I'm just trying it out so I selected the free version.
It starts up and I tried to drag and drop my test video into PD. But it tells me "that feature is only accessible to users of the Premium version"!!
So importing a file is considered a premium feature? Wow. I guess the free version is only to show you the UI, but you can't actually do anything?
This is not good if right off the bat it doesn't work.

When I load PowerDirector 365 I’m still greeted with the old interface tried looking in the application manager and no new updates there went to the website tried installing from there and it’s still giving me the old interface

Is there a way to go back to the previous version? this version is buggy for me, clips will randomly stop playing, both play heads sometimes stop moving even though the video still playing, everything freezes up when I download new fonts and some clips will auto render even though they play fine with no lag or stutter

@@PowerDirectorOfficial It's ok figured out why it's doing it, they were 120fps clips, my aging computer can't handle it to well😆it's fine with my usual 60fps...thanks for replying and this is such a good editor, really enjoying using it, was using VSDC pro for a few years and this just blows it away and is not that much expensive

Taking away the functionality of the play head aka time line marker makes the editing suite virtually unusable. Can this be re-instated please asap.

How do you get to storyboard on new 365 version?
Can't seem to find how to stabilize a video clip once you have uploaded into Powerdirector.
Put your video on a project timeline and then double click on it. You will find "Video Stabilizer" button on the Tools bar on left.
It's so much more cumbersome than what these two show. I got so frustrated that I'm giving up and going back to VSDC Video Editor

Is the conversion that was downloaded before gone?
If I understand your question correctly, you are asking the produced videos. The produced videos will still be in the folder where they are saved. Update your PowerDirector 365 will not make they disappeared.
How do you remove hot pixels from video?
Make a tutorial how you are annotating with neon arrow and rectangle etc in video.

You can use the music and sound effects in your video and upload the video on CZcams.
CZcams also has royalty-free music that you can use on their platform. In your CZcams Studio area look for the Audio Library.

Some things I like, and some things I absolutely hate. Looking at the putrid color for the video for several hours is sickening. The white on blue on the sound track makes it very difficult to sync video and sound tracks, there needs to be more contrast there. Background colors need to be muted to reduce eye strain. They also removed features that saved me time, like clicking on the clip and the time marker moving to that location. They have yet to fix the bug for PD apps remaining active after closing, necessitating having to open Task Manager and closing them there in order to start working again. How do I go back to the previos version?

You may try the Slideshow Creator in PowerDirector. That is a good tool to automatically create photos to video footage.

Ugh I was all ready to buy and then I see that you can only buy a lifetime license if you're a Windows user. The better value was all part of the appeal, that's disappointing for Mac users.

Hi there, you may create your wartermark.logo and put it on top track (the track has the biggest track number) to overlay the watermark/logo on other contents.
You can add watermark/logo to your video in Movavi Video Editor.
With the new update became useless in my computer. Can't edit anything cause it freeze and the audio it's delayed. I like it better before you all did this.
