Despite the fact that this is a Konami game, this game is not well-known in western countries.
This game is really quite difficult.
火の鳥 = bird of fire (Japanese name for phoenix).
This is a 15.5-second improvement to the previous author's movie, through a route change and extensive luck manipulation.

Used to own this game on a FamiCom when I was a kid. I don't really know what this game was about (it's in Japanese, afterall) so I blindly played through it only for the sequence of stages to loop endlessly at a certain point. Back then I thought that was _the game's design_ and I always wondered why I couldn't complete the Phoenix board in every end of the level, so I played something else. Years later, now that the internet is more accessible and played the game in an emulator, decided to search its walkthrough and... wow. I didn't know there were secret doors. That blew my mind. lol.
So yeah, I'm finally satisfied that I finished the game the way it was intended. Younger me would've been amazed by that discovery, ahaha!

LOL same. My cousin randomly discovered that secret entrance by trying to hit a snake on top of the platform and accidentally hit up. It's still weird having to replay the stages to complete the picture though, at first we thought we had to replay it to unlock more pieces.

As a child I stayed in the loop of the missing piece, I also played it but in pirate format, and I also discovered the door of the future and the past, I call that secret that way because I understood it that way.when I was little

It was called Firebird on the pirate cartridge back in the childhood. Could not complete it for it was way to complex in design and controls for 7yr old me.
