Watched a panel of the cast. Howard brought up that the network had an issues with giving Cadillac a free shoutout in the red wiggler spot.

And that night, Johnny made that joke. Perfect timing.

I wonder if any real life Cincinnati businesses of the time advertised their business on WKRP as a clever joke. Maybe a well known business only in the Cincinnati area despite the show being national, possibly international or even one that frequently advertises on real radio stations of all genre's

Herb’s info on wikipedia is really good.
He’s shifty and has to work with 2nd and 3rd tier shady advertisers.
Episodes ‘A Mile in My Shoes’ and ‘Changes’ are good Herb stories.
