Malapascua Island Travel Day | Raw Island Life 🇵🇭

- We left Cebu city and made our way to Malapascua. It is a 4 hour bus ride to Port Maya where we took a 45 minutes boat ride to the island.
We were welcomed and greeted by the amazing locals.
The island do not have a proper road, they still rely on the mainland with boats coming in and out everyday. We hired a motorbike for few days to get around but you can easily walk the island or ask someone to take you somewhere. It's 50 pesos per person per ride. That is less than £1!
We stayed at Neverland Hostel for the first night and moved to an airbnb the for the next three nights. The caretaker was so helpful and she gave us fish which they caught and Neverland Hostel picked us up at the port and took us back when were leaving.
The locals are very helpful and the kids are so cute and always curious. There are a many isolated beaches where you can hike too! Just ask the kids and they'll tell you. No google maps needed here, you can't even use it. It took us to a dead end most of the time!

Fine movie. I been in-and-out Phili since 1998, living there for 15 years. Condo in Cebu, Business Park. But could really like to visit this tiny island. Except ... hate karaoke when it's blaring out nearby. Maybe I see you around, in Ayala :-) ?
Thanks for sharing your experience! Did you take the bus from North Terminal? If so, would you have a picture of the bus schedule? We will be visiting next week and am considering taking an early 3 am bus but don’t know if they run that early to Maya. Also could you share the cost of renting a scooter / motorcycle?
Youre welcome! Im not sure if there is a bus at 3am, i think some website says there is but i suggest checking at the bus station directly if you are in cebu a day earlier. This is the schedule we followed www.aabana.de/Travel_infos/Travel_information/tr
We took aircon bus at 11am and got there around 3:30pm
Rent for motorcyle is from 500 pesos per day or you can pay someone to take you places. Its 50 pesos per person per ride
