    I can imagine that a certain granddaughter is going to have lots of fun with this whistle. Good kids project.

    My granddaughter thought I should make her one. Lol, I reached up on the bookcase next to my chair and grabbed one. After handing it to her I asked "Is this quick enough?" Lol! You should have seen her face lol! Another great how-to Ken! Enjoyed, take care!

    I'm going to suggest this to my daughter as a project for her cub pack. Thanks Kenny.

      That would be a great one for a cub pack. There is plenty for the young ones to learn on this one. Thanks for tuning in.

    This may on the surface to be a fun project but in my opinion this is a fine woodworking job, great skill as well as finish, excellent .

    So glad you decided to make this. And it is just in time to start making them for stocking stuffers for Christmas.

    These are fun little projects. My granddaughters and I made bandsaw/scroll saw police whistles a while back. We made four different sizes for sound difference. I realized what I'd done after they were dried (BIG MISTAKE). Kidding... but I made sure they took them home to show mom and pop!
    We'll give this one a try! Thanks Ken!

      There's a show on my channel demonstrating how to make those whistles Dennis. Smart move sending them home with the kids. LOL. Thanks for tuning in this week.

    I absolutely love this, never heard/seen these before ... kids must have a hoot with these ... fantastic 👍
    I suppose you could add screw driven plugs in the long holes, effectively changing their depth, meaning you could tune it to the sound you want ... but why over complicate something so simple 😀

    • @acutabove_woodworkings
      @acutabove_woodworkings  Před 9 měsíci

      The plugs would work, but like you said, why complicate things? Thanks for tuning in and for the kind words.

    I like the measuring device you use for locating the drill holes, but cannot find anything that looks like it. Please share.

    • @acutabove_woodworkings
      @acutabove_woodworkings  Před 4 měsíci

      That measuring device would be a T-rule by INCRA. You can find them at most woodworking suppliers or your can get them directly from INCRA. incra.com/measuring_marking-trules.html
      I hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in .

    Great video, will give it a try. Just wondering where you purchased the gauge for making the lines on the end of the whistle. It looks like a very handy tool to have. Thanks

    • @acutabove_woodworkings
      @acutabove_woodworkings  Před 3 měsíci

      That gauge is made by INCRA and it is called a T-rule. They are available in metric or imperial and can be purchased at most woodworking suppliers or directly from incra.com. I hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in Roger.
