- We invite you to join us for Conversations with Jewish Believers In Jesus hosted by Jeff Morgan. In this episode, Jeff talks with Tamir Kugman, an Israeli believer in Jesus, and former IDF soldier about how he came to believe in Jesus as Messiah.
Tamir Kugman is on staff with Jews for Jesus in Tel Aviv and works in the media department. He was born in Israel, and though he is from a secular Jewish family, he kept many Jewish traditions. Tamir came to faith in Yeshua (Jesus) at the age of 21 during his army service, where he worked as an animator for the Isreali Defence Force. He is currently the only believer in his family. After receiving a BA in special education and an MA in learning disabilities, he worked as a public school special education teacher and as the assistant manager at a Messianic school. Over the last two decades, Tamir has taught the Bible to children, youth, and adults, both in camps and in a congregational setting. In 2019, Tamir felt a new call, and began serving with Jews for Jesus. Tamir is passionate about using his artistic talents to teach about Jesus.. Tamir is married to Hadas and they have five children.

As I pray for Israel during this first week of war with Hamas, I feel confusion about how to pray. To hear this man’s testimony convinces me that my prayer must always be for the salvation of each Jew and for the salvation of each Arab. Only in Christ is there ever going to be peace! I am so encouraged to hear how he changed your heart Tamar, and I am praying for that work to be multiplied even in the middle of war!
Yes, We hate persecution and suffering yet the gospel is spread most in these times. ❤ praying with you for the Jews to know Jesus as Messiah and for our Arab friends and even our perceived enemies (Hamas, isis etc) to surrender to Jesus as Lord and Savior of their lives. Then we will have peace.

We were just talking today how the Old and New Testaments support, illuminate and deepen the message of the central authority of Christ. Yes: we immediately recognize that we have the same Father in all brothers and sisters we meet. It may be that we are seeing Messiah and this is another reason why we may often feel like we have always known one another and feel a sense of familiarity.

Matt 22:34-40 brings so much of the Bible all together. Jesus answered a Pharisee, who was testing Jesus, asked Him what is the greatest commandment. In answering him, Jesus quoted Deut 6:5 and Lev 19:18. In commentary, Jesus finished His answer with "All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." An earlier verse in Matt 5:17, Jesus tells us, "Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill." Jesus offered Himself to be the sacrificed Lamb by whose blood we can all be saved from all our sins. We should seek to be imitators of Jesus Christ and not using the salvation He provides to be an excuse for intentional sin.
