  • How to remove and replace the steering wheel on a 2003 to 2010 Nissan Micra K12. WARNING: Attempt this fix at your own risk. Working on or near the airbag unit could be very dangerous so use extreme caution !. Disconnect the battery at least 5 minutes before you begin, to disable the airbag system, and leave it disconnected until the work is fully completed. After you disconnect the airbag connectors, do NOT probe the airbag terminals or connectors with a test meter as this could risk triggering the airbag. If you are in any doubt, take the car to a Nissan specialist or garage and have a fully qualified mechanic carry out the procedure. Thanks for watching. Please comment, like and subscribe !.

Hi the torx screw was slightly stripped when I came to it and very tight, I managed to strip it more and I can’t get it out. Any advice?

You'll probably have to use one of those screw extraction tools like this one: czcams.com/video/tbjAeHTMipE/video.html

Great. Could you also do a quick one how to fix steering wheel adjustment? When locked my steering column moves up and down freely, so I cannot raise my steering wheel and keep it at desired level. Micra K12.

If you pause the video at 2:32 you can see where the nuts are fixed to the rear of the airbag. The nut must have broken away from the unit and is now rotating with the screw. I'm not sure how to remove that to be honest.
